  1. “Getting better”… that’s terrible news.
  2. Spencer Brown - “No exaggeration ladies…”
  3. Tough call on Elam. Not that I think he was great, but Douglas was a big part of the problem against the Rams. Don’t know if he was injured or what, but he got smoked on the regular.
  4. Oooof. Glad I didn't eat lunch.
  5. Was I crapping on him? Gabe left for Jacksonville, Hollins signed with the Bills. I was stating a preference. Crapping on him would be what I did when he was still a Bill.
  6. I'd take him over Gabe every day of the week.
  7. Honestly, I don't understand why Detroit didn't try an onsides kick after every possession from that point forward. They've already abdicated any defensive expectations at that point. They've accepted the Bills are going to score every time they get the ball. They've basically accepted that it doesn't matter where the Bills start from on the field at that point, the outcome will be the same. Why not try to steal a possession every chance they can. The benefit of doing it with 12 minutes left should have been that it would have given them multiple opportunities to do it.
  8. It was an acknowledgement that they couldn't stop the Bills offense. It was analogous, IMO, to the first time Bill Belichick let someone score a TD to preserve clock and try to get the ball back in Brady's hands. He was trying to get the ball back to close a gap that was only likely to widen when the Bills got the ball, anyway.
  9. Appearances/wins. McDermott is the only one on that list to not even have an appearance in the first 5 years of such a stretch of 11 win seasons, unless he makes it this year. I don't hate McDermott. I think he's a better coach than most in this league. I don't know who would come in off the street and be immediately better. However, I don't love him either. I don't think he's upper echelon like Reid, Landry, and Belichick on that list. I'm not blind to the fact that, despite the fact he's got a once in a generation talent at QB that buoys his W-L record, his game management and awful playoff defenses have routinely sabotaged the Bills in big games. Based on his history to date, for him to get to/win a SB I think the stars will have to align for him. The Bills will have to be healthy and outclass their opponent. He has not demonstrated that he can be relied on to outcoach an upper echelon coached opponent in a close game against an equally talented team.
  10. Reid has actually done it twice, once with the Eagles (0/1), and currently with KC he has 7 straight (3/4). Belichick was 10 straight years (3/5). Dungy was 6 straight (1/1). Landry was also 6 straight (1/2). Anybody wanna guess what the numbers in parentheses are?
  11. Anybody sarcastically crowing early in the game about “Fire McDermott” like things are somehow different are delusional. Nice to get the win but this defense is a huge ####### problem.
  12. They lost a ton of defensive players to injury in this game. IMO this was Campbell realizing trading scores isn’t going to cut it. It was low percentage, but without stealing a possession, even with them shredding our defense, they’re just treading water.
  13. IDK. Campbell trying to steal a possession knowing his D can’t stop Allen.
  14. Awesome. Allen gets the play off but they burn a TO.
  15. Nice to see Kincaid downfield.
  16. Adversity builds character. That kid is gonna have to dig deep while wearing that jersey.
  17. Any word on safeties with Rapp and Hamlin out? Did they elevate Hyde?
  18. I’m guessing you’re the type that gets back together with the certifiably crazy chick after a while because you never forgot how bonkers she was in the sack but you DID forgot how crazy she was every other second of the day as well.
  19. You must be referring to our regular season defense. There’s not a lot of room to be far worse than our post-season defense.
  20. If his goal is to become a HC… Brady was on the staff before, is beloved in the city, knows the owner. He’s not the guy following THE guy in Payton, so the pressure will be different than it was for Allen. If expectations are managed correctly walking in the door and Gayle Benson (or whomever is representing the ownership interest) accepts that there needs to be a tear down it buys him some runway. That, and the fans love their football. There are worse places to coach.
  21. 1. Reid made it to the SB with Philadelphia with Donovan McNabb 2. McNabb had long since retired before Reid won his first with KC Allen is light years more talented than McNabb and yet at this rate, if McDermott doesn’t “figure it out”, his team accomplishments may never reach the same heights as Reid managed with McNabb with the Eagles.
  22. There was a rumor that McDonalds was going to donate the McRibs that they had set aside for the fans in section 105 at Key Bank Arena that were to be given away if the Sabres scored a 3rd period power play goal at select home games this season, but the stock turned over so slowly that they all went bad.
