  1. I didn't see anything egregious outside of the obvious missed facemask and the last catch not being reviewed. Everything else seemed like call that "could go either way" so to speak.
  2. I think he wanted to call a timeout and basically just did the challenge as a "why not". John Fox used to do challenges when he felt like his team needed an extended timeout because reviews were longer than standard timeouts. I think with each coach getting 2 challenges and each Turnover/TD getting reviewed plus anything under two minutes challenges are not as super valuable as they once were. I think you can burn one here or there.
  3. It was a hold the offensive linemen basically did a bear hug. That being said the refs only missed two calls the facemask on Davis and the lack of a review on the last KC catch. I'm not sure if there were any missed calls that went for the Bills but overall it wasn't a poorly officiated game at all.
  4. A "three phases" win for sure. Special teams was error free and made a nice punt return early. Defense only let up 21 points including just 7 in the second half. Offense put up 30 on an elite defense. Coaching made the right calls for the most part. The only errors were Bass's missed PAT early and the 4th down disaster with the INT. They play a 5 DL front a lot, Bills gonna have to have something in their back pocket to counter that should/when the Bills matchup with KC in the playoffs.
  5. I honestly think McD really deserves a lot of credit. He called a very aggressive game, of course the first fourth down attempt was a complete disaster but late game he went for it again to play to win and to "not lose". As far as the players Josh Allen - Made great plays including that 4th and 2 TD run. What an amazing talent he is I really do love watching him play. Shakir- Made some key plays was just consistently making plays Groot and Ed Oliver - KC has an issue at LT but the rest of their offensive line is very good and those two made their presence felt consistently Benford - This guy is an insane difference maker a sack and the game icing INT, he has just been fantastic all year. I also think Cooper and Curtis Samuel had very key contributions. Cooper went cold at the half but he had two very big plays in the first half on the first two TD drives. Samuel added in that complementary offense that the team needed. I also didn't realize that Knox had a nice game with 4 catches for 40 yards. But I do think the coaching also deserves a shout out. This team played error free special teams with a nice punt return early on. This team only let up 7 points in the second half and 21 points overall. The offense put up 30 points on an excellent defense. What a great game so happy for this team.
  6. Yeah that's why I said the RATE to which things are INCREASING is going down. There's never been a time in modern American history where prices have gone down. Not sure why people don't understand this.
  7. Von Miller with a clutch play, he's finally rounding back into form coming off the suspension.
  8. Seemed fair as KC instigated and the Bills took it over the top.
  9. As important as the KC game is with the bye week coming up getting as healthy as possible is key. If Kincaid/Coleman are banged up better to give them a week off which will effectively give them 3 weeks off to get healthy for the stretch run.
  10. The rate to which prices are going up is down significantly in the past year or so. There's always usually at least a 1-2% rate of inflation since the beginning of the 20th century.
  11. It's a very "top heavy" slate of games this week with Bills vs. Chiefs being the headline main event and Ravens vs. Steelers being a high end matchup in the early window. There's not too much in the rest of the slate of games but you have 4 other at the very solid games on the slate. You got a pair of interesting division games in Bears vs. Packers and Seahawks vs. 49ers while also having a pair of solid games in Bengals vs. Chargers in the late game and Falcons vs. Broncos in the West Coast Window. I would give the slate of games this week a B+ esp if you factor in a good Thursday matchup. Two mega huge games and Four interesting games plus a good matchup on Thursday.
  12. Gruden is a turd of a person and coaching passed him by. But as a broadcaster and YouTuber he is entertaining. So I’m not surprised an alt media outlet took him on esp one like Barstool that’s not exactly concerned with image as much
  13. There isn't a single player outside of Josh you couldn't trade Two first round picks and a second and acquire them. I think the following players hold the highest trade value.
  14. The reason the rule book is so intricate and complex is because coaches exploit any little bit of lack of clarity to take advantage. So as the loopholes or exploits pile up they have to make rule changes. There’s also the added nuances of player safety and replay that add more calls to what a referee has to police. I also wonder if lower quality of offensive line play due to lack of collegiate development at the position has also added to more holding calls? Not sure what’s the data on that but it wouldn’t shock me
  15. This is a serious question. When has officiating ever been considered good? I've been a fan of the NFL for 25 years and I have always heard how bad officiating is. And while there is legitimate criticism to be had of officiating it has never seemed like fans have ever liked officiating or thought officials weren't a problem. For fans in this thread saying that officiating is a recent problem, what years would you say were great years for officiating and why?
  16. Did Dodson play a lot of Special Teams? Honestly I don't remember but I think Bills have mostly considered backup LB's to be key ST players. Buffalo Joe and Spector are on a lot of ST units not sure about Morrow. I honestly would rather have Dodson over Morrow but I don't think the difference is massive.
  17. It is funny how that is so very true. I would imagine that the difference between an average GM and a very good one in terms of drafting non-QB prospects is not that drastic. I do think McBeane hits on picks at a higher rate than the Vikings GM's or whatever other "average" GM has. But I don't think the gap is that wide. But QB is the premium of all premiums. It is why I think Atlanta getting both a solid better than average but not elite vet in Cousins while also drafting a prospect high up made sense even if ATL maybe did it a year earlier than they maybe "should" it is still the position you always want to be investing in or around.
  18. It almost hurt them overachieving in 2022. The Giants should have done what the Bills did in 2018 after they overachieved in 2017. Actually scrap the roster and keep building the team prudently. Keep a few core vets but don't buy into the mirage that was 2022. But they kind of doubled down on that roster and made some bad additions and then in 2023 predictably regressed. But unlike the 2019 Bills who shredded dead cap and accrued younger players the 2024 Giants were left with less assets to work with. Had Schoen/Daboll reset in 2023 it would have allowed them to be in a better position in 2024 to keep Barkley and add more pieces but they just failed to see through their previous success. The Giants are a mess and they are honestly better off letting go of Daboll and Schoen and "resetting" the clock so to speak by brining in a new regime to build around a newly drafted QB. It isn't like Daboll and Schoen have done much to prove that they deserve a second go around. After a very good year one it has been back to back losing season and not much in terms of building a roster. It isn't like the reason they aren't winning in 2024 is because of some unreasonable rash of injuries. They doubled down on a mediocre QB and an overachieving roster send them packing.
  19. I feel like they "pick their spots" to be aggressive esp in 2023 when McD was the coordinator. I would like to see them do those blitzes and stunts a bit more, but McD is a very good defensive mind I think he knows what he is doing.
  20. I do wonder what McD is going to have planned for KC and some of the better teams like the Lions. I think McD likely felt like Flacco was going to make mistakes and at worst kick field goals.
  21. He's been very good. He's been that good WR4 this team has lacked. I get that most teams don't have elite WR's as their 4th WR but if you get a player that can contribute as a WR4 in spurts while also being a very good core Special Teams player that's a very good use of one of your 4-5 WR spots. I think this team has wanted to get just some more production out of that WR4/5 special teams spot. Jake Kumerow and Sherfield while they were solid ST players they never added much to the offense. I don't think there was the expectations that either were gonna be putting up huge WR numbers. But I think McBeane probably wanted them to get something like 300-400 yards 30-35 receptions with a few TD's. Not eye popping numbers but a decent back end contribution. Hollins whose pushing 200 yards and has some TD's is going to get you that extra pop while still being a ST contributor.
  22. The offense felt very "difficult" nothing much was coming easy. It kind of just felt like Josh was making a bunch of "Superman" plays while each skill guy had one or two solid complementary good plays and they were able to piece together just enough offense to make the game comfortable. I don't think this offensive effort wins against better than average teams. This game was won largely by a very strong defensive and special teams effort while also cobbling together a decent but not great offensive effort. The Bills at WR are going to need Cooper and Coleman out there. If the Bills have any hope to beat KC they are gonna need Cooper as Keon's already out.
  23. I’m actually the opposite in terms of what conclusions I drew from the game. The offense at times was struggling because they didn’t have a go to WR.
  24. Two possession lead early, can’t complain too much.
