  1. Biggest play of the season right there
  2. That might be it for Mitch's career, definitely out a few weeks.
  3. Defense 2 for 2 on stops, offense with a TD and driving again.
  4. Bates filled in nicely for Mitch too.
  5. I am hoping it's a cramp or a something more minor.
  6. Hopefully Mitch isn't seriously hurt. Walking off on his own, was on his knee not on his back. Hopefully he just needs a few minutes.
  7. Belichick's MO is always to make you beat yourself. The key to this game is going to be getting the ground game going. In these conditions even good QB's can have passes sail on them.
  8. In sloppy weather you can't give up field goals. Yes NE did shift field position a bit but starting around the 20 isn't tragic.
  9. Spain and Feliciano were above average starting guards in 2019, both signed inexpensively. I think Mongo ends up making an impact in 2020 but we shall see. D.Williams has been a dam fine RT. Jordan Phillips was a borderline probowl player in 2019 and effective in 2018. I could dig up a few other examples but I think Beane has found a good amount of gems. Hopefully Lee is added to the list.
  10. D.Williams this year, and Spain and Feliciano last year were some examples of hitting off the scrap heap. I would also add in Jordan Phillips in 2018. Mc Beane has done a lot of great work on lower level FA signings. Hopefully Lee provides some help on defense.
  11. Also the Bills gave up garbage time TD's to the Jets week 1, Dolphins, Raiders and Titans. I wish think they squandered a lot of potiental points in the Jets game 2. Are the Bills any better or worse because of 4 garbage time TD's? I think point differences aren't meaningless but they do need context. The Bills have won 4 games by 2 score margins that only got tightened when TD's were given up with less than 90 seconds left. The losses were bad and against good teams but they weren't tragic in context. Overall I think the Bills are trending to 10-11 wins which should be good for the division. The real tests this season are going to be if they can get the defense on track and get Mongo and John Brown going on offense along with continuing to develop Josh. If the Bills can get a true one tech by the deadline and get healthy I think they have 11 wins or even 12 in them.
  12. I don't think he will ever develop into a "war daddy" Frontline sack artist. But I think he can be a number 2 starting DE who can be a consistent 7.5-9.5 sack a year player. Which for a late 2nd round pick is a fair return.
  13. I thought he played well against the Jets. Hopefully he can keep increasing his snap count
  14. Hyde's salary in 2021 is fairly reasonable for his level of play currently. I think he stays in 2021 and the team drafts in round 3 or 4 his replacement long term. But there is no reason to move off of him just yet. His play might be declining but his salary is still good and he is still a starting caliber player.
  15. Bills 31 Pats 17. I just don't see how the Pats put up points, their offense is barely better than the Jets and I don't see Josh not putting up at least 3 TD's on a banged up and depleted defense. I could see it being 17-10 at the half and the Pats hanging on. But I think the Bills pull away and get a 2 score lead and comfortably sit on it.
  16. The Bills developing a reputation as a high quality organization is good. It will only open up the Bills appeal as a destination for free agents and for existing players to want to stay. Buffalo will likely never be a glamorous market but if the organization presents its self as a winning place that handles its self well players will come.
  17. He has 5 ST tackles which is good for 9th in the league, seems to me he is a highly effective ST player.
  18. Just looked that up and dam that's crazy. I would have thought it would have been a bigger story.
  19. When was the time it got blocked? I remember the Oswiler trade but that one went through.
  20. I always talk about this issue with my dad who supports eliminating interest on student loans and means tested partial forgiveness. But I always tell him that it is probably not that much more expensive to just do full forgiveness. Due to the fact that the massive means testing needed would probably require a massive bureaucracy that would likely cost a lot of money and it would be both easier and more effective to just make the program universal.
  21. If you address the cost issue for future students (through various means) what do you do with the current generation of people with crippling student debt? Do you support some sort of partial forgiveness or at least a lowering or eliminating of their interest rate? Or are you just fine with doing nothing?
  22. It would kind of be like an NBA deal, where there is a salary cap dump. A team will trade a player with a 15 million dollar salary and the 20th pick in the NBA draft to acquire a 2nd round pick. The player acquired is inconsequential it is just a math transaction.
  23. What is killing me is that Klein has a 6 million dollar cap hit in 2020 but he has a 6.4 million dollar cap hit in 2021 with 4 million in dead cap. I think they will likely pull a Kroft and renegotiate his deal to just above his dead cap hit for one year. But that still means he will be on the roster with 4.5 million yuck
  24. Yeldon is solid depth. He is inactive because he doesn't contribute on special teams. IF Moss or Singletary go down having a solid back that can step in like Yeldon is a plus. Is Klein even a plus on special teams?
