  1. Miami will win 8 or 9 games. I think Tua will have his growing pains and the defense isn't good enough to carry him consistently. But they will keep the Bills "honest" and be unable to run away with the Division.
  2. This team needs a true one tech, it's the one move the Bills can make affordably and it would at least give them a shot to play at least effective run defense. The Jags on 2017 were a great defense but succeptible to getting run on up the middle. They then traded for Dareus and it got better to the point where they got to bet a better than average rush defense by years end. Overall it is rather stupid of the Bills don't make a move there. Trade a 4th for Delvin Tomlinson. Cheap cap wise and just a rental on the last year of his rookie deal. He is a very good run stuffer who can either be brought back to rotate with Star or just let walk in free agency.
  3. My hope is the Bills at least clinch a playoff game. If the Bills enter that game 10-5 and Miami 9-6 and it's just for the Division for the Bills I will be confident but thankful the Bills will at least be playing the week after.
  4. I would say C. Great second half but a suspect first half. At a minimum the Bills should have had a 10 point lead in the first half with the ball to start half two. But this team just couldn't put much together other than the one TD drive and then the one other time the offense got deep it resulted in a turnover.
  5. The run defense will only massively or at least significantly improve if the Bills get a true one tech by Tuesday. The team is getting gutted up the middle over and over again.
  6. Take what the defense is giving you, the offense played well in the second half the defense in the first half. A win is a win, hopefully the Bills can get going against the Seahawks which should be a shootout
  7. Bills need to not have that game matter hopefully enter that game with 10 or 11 wins and Miami enters in with 8. I think getting a split in the next 2 games is critical. If the Bills can get to 7-3 going into that very winnable Chargers game then I think the Bills can get to 11 wins. Looking ahead of you split the next 2 and win against the Chargers you are sitting at 8-3. You have a toss up game against the 49ers and a tough game against the Steelers. You split those and you sit at 9-4 going into a pair of favorable games against the Broncos and Pats. You win those you get to 11-4 and then you have the Fins.
  8. The defense came out good in the first half. Only allowed 6 points and probably only should have given up 3. But the offense failed to get that 2 posession lead and then the defense struggled in the second half giving up 15 and easily could have given up 3 to 7 more had they not made the big play. Overall the offense did bailout the defense yet again but this team needs to play more complementary football. The Bills should have had a 10 to 14 point lead going into the second half. The defense should have held up better while the offense was rolling. This game shouldn't have come down to a late turnover. But that being said Josh got them the lead late and the defense came up with the big play when needed. They got fat going into a tough 2 game stretch.
  9. He knew he was going to have to try something to get his team going. I think he had more faith in the Bills defense than he should have or he was just not sure if Josh could be stopped by his defense.
  10. The defense is 3-4 pieces away from being a contending defense. They need a true one tech, better LB play, a dominant edge rusher, and a CB opposite Tre. The Bills don't have the cap space nor assets to make a trade for all the parts needed. However I think even just getting a true one tech would help and not be inexpensive. Just adding one more piece to the defense would help. They can get healthy and coach up a bit more during the bye in a few weeks but they need to find a one tech to help out.
  11. I thought the defense would hold them to a FG but that turnover was huge, so many times the Bills don't get that big clutch play when they need it. Today they got the clutch play and came out with the W. It was far too close. The offense couldn't get that 2 or 3 posession lead in the first half and the defense couldn't shut the door in the second half. But a Win is a win baby.
  12. The defense was outright awful in the second half but they made the big play when it mattered most. Frustrating because the defense played well in the first half giving up just a pair of field goals. But the offense put up 17 bailing out the defense who gave up 15 and needed a turnover deep to bailout from the game being tied.
  13. Biggest play of the season right there
  14. That might be it for Mitch's career, definitely out a few weeks.
  15. Defense 2 for 2 on stops, offense with a TD and driving again.
  16. Bates filled in nicely for Mitch too.
  17. I am hoping it's a cramp or a something more minor.
  18. Hopefully Mitch isn't seriously hurt. Walking off on his own, was on his knee not on his back. Hopefully he just needs a few minutes.
  19. Belichick's MO is always to make you beat yourself. The key to this game is going to be getting the ground game going. In these conditions even good QB's can have passes sail on them.
  20. In sloppy weather you can't give up field goals. Yes NE did shift field position a bit but starting around the 20 isn't tragic.
  21. Spain and Feliciano were above average starting guards in 2019, both signed inexpensively. I think Mongo ends up making an impact in 2020 but we shall see. D.Williams has been a dam fine RT. Jordan Phillips was a borderline probowl player in 2019 and effective in 2018. I could dig up a few other examples but I think Beane has found a good amount of gems. Hopefully Lee is added to the list.
  22. D.Williams this year, and Spain and Feliciano last year were some examples of hitting off the scrap heap. I would also add in Jordan Phillips in 2018. Mc Beane has done a lot of great work on lower level FA signings. Hopefully Lee provides some help on defense.
  23. Also the Bills gave up garbage time TD's to the Jets week 1, Dolphins, Raiders and Titans. I wish think they squandered a lot of potiental points in the Jets game 2. Are the Bills any better or worse because of 4 garbage time TD's? I think point differences aren't meaningless but they do need context. The Bills have won 4 games by 2 score margins that only got tightened when TD's were given up with less than 90 seconds left. The losses were bad and against good teams but they weren't tragic in context. Overall I think the Bills are trending to 10-11 wins which should be good for the division. The real tests this season are going to be if they can get the defense on track and get Mongo and John Brown going on offense along with continuing to develop Josh. If the Bills can get a true one tech by the deadline and get healthy I think they have 11 wins or even 12 in them.
  24. I don't think he will ever develop into a "war daddy" Frontline sack artist. But I think he can be a number 2 starting DE who can be a consistent 7.5-9.5 sack a year player. Which for a late 2nd round pick is a fair return.
