  1. 2008 was a mirage on a lot of levels. This year this team will likely still win 10 or 11 games. This team has issues that even adding a true one tech won't solve. But this is still a good team, just maybe not the contenders some like myself thought.
  2. The Bills from 2017 to 2018 were selling off veteran parts for draft capital and made a big trade up for Josh. They were eating massive dead cap both years to put the team in a position to properly build a team around a young QB. So yes 25-23 isn't lighting the world on fire but given the context of team building and where the teM was at its a pretty strong resume.
  3. Going to have to put up 30+ to win. That's just how you have to beat the Seahawks. They are too good offensively. Much like the Chiefs you just have to how your defense can get a key turnover or stop them just enough and hope your offense can put up a big number. Either way this should be a fun game. Bills are still in a decent spot if they lose but it would be nice to see them get that so called signature win
  4. There is unlikely to be 2 trades. The Bills would be lucky to get 1 trade let alone 2-3. The NFL trade deadline is not where you solve wholesale roster needs but rather add that piece you need. The Bills could solve some defensive issues by trading for a true one tech. That's the trade the team needs to make.
  5. Honestly it's been a big blob of disappointment. The lack of a one tech DT has made the DT position a mess, the DE's have been ok but still lacking in the pass rush, Edumonds and Milano are hurt and getting killed by the lack of a true one tech. The secondary hasn't been bad but they have had big struggles on third down. Overall there are a multitude of issues with the defense. Some can hopefully be fixed with a trade for a one tech. But others are likely to remain issues.
  6. Also the Bills have a franchise QB for the first time since the 1990's. McD and Beane have made mistakes but to not act like they haven't been successful is silly.
  7. I think the Ravens organization is good enough to change his style of play and work with him to develop into a more well rounded QB. He does need more help at WR but that's not the only thing holding him back.
  8. I do worry that because he is on such a big contract that he pushes himself to play more. I trust him and his doctors to make that decision but we aren't likely to see him until after the bye at the earliest. Then again when Josh was concussed after the first Pats game last year I thought he would miss a game and he didn't. So maybe there is an outside shot we see him sooner.
  9. The sentiment for a lot seems to be that both the Cardinals and 49ers games are going to be losses. I don't know why that's the case. I look at those games as toss ups I think they win one and lose the other.
  10. Vick had a bad work ethic, he never developed his game when he was young, Andy Reid got a hold of him and he had his best year before getting hurt. But Lamar has a good head on his shoulders and works hard. I don't know if Lamar will develop or not but I think he has a chance to develop into a better more consistent passer.
  11. I don't even know why people are so pessimistic about the 49ers game. Seems like a 50/50 type game. The 49ers this season aren't very good
  12. The Bills are hungry for a bye. Hopefully the Bills can split the next two games and go 7-3 into that bye. This it just seems like the Bills are more banged up than they were in other years. Milano and Edumonds were hurt week 1 and both have missed time and regressed. Mongo started the year hurt, John Brown has been banged up, Tre got banged up and missed a week, Levi and Hyde are banged up. Ford is banged up. Now Mitch is likely missing at least a few weeks. It seems like each week guys are getting hurt consistently. I think this week about half way in would have been a good time for a bye week but 2 weeks down a week off might be what hopefully gets the team going.
  13. We know more about concussions now, and what know is that like any injury a concussion takes time to heal. Mitch likely is going to need at least a month to heal his head. I wouldn't be shocked if he decides to, hang it up after 2020. Maybe because of his contract he tries to play one more year. Hoping just for his health this is a "mild" concussion and they put him on the bench for a few weeks and he is good to go.
  14. I think this team will likely not have Mitch come back until after the bye at the earliest. Hopefully Ford can come back and fill in at LG. Loved what I saw from Mongo but Mitch being hurt was a real kick in the pants
  15. Bills will either go 4-4 or 5-3 to end the season. Likely losses against Seattle and the Steelers. Toss ups against the 49ers and Cardinals and 4 games the Bills should be favored in against the Broncos, Chargers, Pats and Fins. If the Bills can split the toss up games, and take care of 3 out of 4 if the favored games that puts them at 10-6 and likely good enough to win the division and certainly good for a spot in the expanded playoffs. Getting a spli in the next 2 games is critical. Got to hit 8-3 in my opinion to set the team up for a good stretch run and clinch playoffs and possibly the division before week 17.
  16. The issue isn't pressure the issue is Ed is getting run over in the ground game because he is playing out of position most of the time. I think he can be an impactful player at the 3 tech but he isn't doing anyone favors at the 1. The Trail Blazers took Sam Bowie...
  17. I would like to see how well Oliver and Edumonds would perform if the defense adds a true one tech. Edumonds played a lot better last season once Star got it going and the team added Lugiet. Oliver is playing out of position at the one tech on freaking rushing downs. This team needs to get a true one tech DT because the lack of one is making both players worse.
  18. Josh looked mediocre in the two losses against the Chiefs and Titans but I don't see too much cause for concern against the Jets and Pats. In the Jets game Josh and the offense didn't punt and put up over 400 yards. They just uncharacteristically struggled in the redzone. The Pats game was bad weather and the ground game took over. Josh only threw 18 times. He did pretty solidly in those attempts outside of the INT that wasn't on him. Overall I think Josh is growing into an elite QB, he is learning to how teams will adjust to his strengths and what to do against a blitz. The defense is the big worry at this point
  19. Josh took what the Jets gave him and carved them up he just struggled in the redzone uncharacteristically. The pats game was awful weather conditions and a great ground game going. I don't see any reason why Josh couldn't adjust to taking what a defense is giving him against a soft zone.
  20. The defense was good for 2 halfs and mediocre for two halfs against two of the worst offenses in the league. If this team wants to contend they need to add a piece to the defense. It's going to get ugly against better teams.
  21. Poe isn't a true one tech and hasn't played well this season. I think this team desperately needs a trade they got gashed on the ground against the Pats and in the first half against the Jets these aren't world beating teams. Overall if the front office can't trade for a true one tech or get one off the street they will have failed this team gravely. A true one tech wouldn't solve all the defensive issues but it would help solve the biggest one.
  22. Tomlinson solves a lot. He is a low cap hit, shouldn't cost more than a 4th and is on the last year of his deal and the Giants have no reason to not trade him and sign him back. Overall the fir is there for both sides
  23. If the offense can get Ford, Mitch, and Brown healthy and get the ground game going with Moss and Singletary they can win a shootout with anyone. It's the defense that is 3 to 4 pieces away. I am steeply concerned with the defense even if they add a true one tech they are still several pieces away although a true one tech would be a massive help.
  24. He had a linemen and a full back meet him at full steam at the second level. I dont think there was much he could have done on that play. Honestly you probably could pick better plays to crap on Edumonds but this one was a failure on the dline.
  25. Once the Pats got hit with the Covid opt outs I don't think anyone was laughing at that prediction.
