I would put D.Williams as being harder to replace. But Milano isn't too far behind. And I agree Milano is a very good player. But when everyone is in a cap crunch it depresses the market for all players. And that makes it harder for a guy like Milano who isn't a pass rusher and isn't dynamic in coverage. I think this might actually work to the Bills benefit in keeping Milano. If his best offers are 2-3 year deals in the 8-9 million dollar aav range then he might just take a one year deal in the 8-9 million dollar range with the Bills and go after another bite at the apple when the cap hopefully expands in 2022.

Are any of those teams willing to spend 12 million on an LB that isn't a pass rusher and isn't elite in coverage against TE's, who also has issues being banged up? Those teams are going to have their pick from free agents and aren't likely to want to spend 20-30% of their cap space on a LB like Milano.

If I am Miami I am calling up Seattle and Houston and pushing all in to acquire either Watson or Wilson. I would easily for Wilson give up picks 3, 18, 50 and 123 in 2021 and a 1st and 3rd (swapped with a 5th from Seattle) in 2022. Miami is a QB away from being a contending team and I have to hope that they don't land one of those top two QB's via trade.

If there is a big time cap crunch that puts the cap at 185 million or lower then who is offering Milano 12 million per-season? The Bills sure as hell won't be able to since even if they cut Brown, Butler, Jefferson, Lee Smith and get players like Addision, Hughes, Mitch and a few others to restructure their deals the Bills will still have limited cap dollars to spend and I doubt they are going to spend it heavily on Milano. At a 180 million dollar cap number 22 teams are going to either be negative on the cap or only have less than 20 million in space (which considering the rookie pool cash needed and emergency money means less than 10 million available) yes I know teams will cut players and redo deals but in the end the amount of free cash flow on a cap set around 185 million or less is going to be dramatically lower than most years. I can't see any team spending 12 million on Milano. I could be wrong but I think his "prove it" deal is somewhere in the 7-9 million dollar range, I can't see a team spending 12 million on a LB who isn't a pass rusher and can't consistently shut down top TE's in coverage.

2000's USC had that issue as well. You never knew who was making the other players look better than they were. I feel like for the most part Bama players have fared well in the NFL the past 10ish years. So I think avoiding them completely is a bad strategy unless Beane and the scouting department have data that Bama, OSU and Clemson players aren't panning out. I think the reason Beane has stayed away from those programs might just be coincidence. I am sure he has liked some of their players but they just haven't fallen to them at the right spot.

Gronk seems to love playing with Brady, I think he plays the rest of his career in Tampa with Brady. I would love for him to come here but it just isn't happening.

3 million isn't WR4 money but I feel like a team like Jacksonville looking for a gadget player who can add some speed and versatility to their WR corps will pay him 3 million and that's just too much for the Bills. I think Mac also is someone who has been effective returning kicks. So I can once again see a team looking at Mac and seeing a player that can be their return man and give them 30 catches, 300 yards and 3-4 TD's to the offense, which is worth 3 million esp to a team flushed with cap space. I would love to have Mac back, I think he adds a nice wrinkle to the offense. But I think another team really talks themselves into paying him a bit more than he might be worth to the Bills.

SB commercials are always hit or miss most years. You typically see a few clever and funny ones and a few cringe ones.

Probably going to have to let him walk, some other team is going to offer him WR4 money in the 3ish million range and the Bills have Hodgins waiting in the wings.

There is an element of nepotism and good old boys club. But I think the opportunity and being around the game is a larger factor. Being a coaches kid gives you a lot of opportunity and chances that others may not.

What Brady brings on the field yes I agree with that 10-15 other QB's would have won. But Brady brings a leadership and ethic that infects the team and locker room. It goes beyond good play on the field with Brady.

When you are talking about the Superbowl and the ratings being on the margins then I do think markets could be the difference between 110 million and 105 million viewers. The highest rated Super Bowl was 2013/2014 when Seattle played Denver in New Jersey/NYC Metro area. Now it may sound perplexing that the 13th TV market (Seattle) and 17th TV market (Denver) would produce the highest rating, however the game was a big deal locally in the NYC metro area. It was the first and most likely only Super Bowl played in outdoor cold weather and in NYC metro area. Living in NJ at the time I can tell you that game was a big deal locally, toss in the fact that it was a highly anticipated matchup in football terms and it scored the biggest rating. LA might not be an optimal market for ratings on football but other areas like NYC, Philly, Boston, Chicago and other bigger markets can draw a few million people that might make the difference.

IF somehow the Bills can retain Mongo, D.Williams, Milano and some of their role players along with the key restricted players (Bojo, Wallace and Ike) and then have an impactful draft class (maybe add a pass rush and a pass catcher and some supplemental depth as this team will lose depth) if all those chips fall then I think this team will be 12+ wins and back into contention. That's a lot to ask for McBeane but let's see where they place the cap and how good they are at managing the cap.

Everything that could have gone wrong for KC in the run up to this game just did. Big snow storm puts off when KC could get to the game, coaches son gets in a pretty serious DWI accident and in the second half of the AFCCG your start LT goes down and creates even bigger O-line issues. As good as Tampa was KC just did not get handed the best hand.

Give him a similar or even slightly higher offer than Spain. Got to try and keep D.Williams and Mongo on the line. Can't overpay due to a cap crunch but you have to make a good fair offer.

The state of the Bills is strong, young franchise QB in place with two years remaining on a rookie deal (including the 5th year option), a very good head coach with his full staff intact, a lot of talent around the young QB on offense and a solid defense and really good special teams unit. The team also played 3 playoff games winning two of them. That's a big boost to all the players on the team who now know what they have to do to win. The state isn't perfect as the Bills for once are having to retain a lot of talent and are going to be up against the cap and depending on where that cap is set the Bills will have to let some key players walk. For once the Bills are in a legit place to contend and hopefully Watson isn't traded within the division (would love to see him go to the NFC or to the Raiders where he and Mahomes can meet up twice a year.)

It is not that complicated, Eric Fischer's injury completely compromised the Chiefs O-line which led to Mahomes being under pressure constantly and KC not being able to do much on offense. KC was always going to have to put up points and without their key O-line player it all collapsed.

I stand corrected, I still think they could be fine signing a cheap vet to a near minimum deal and drafting a mid-round pick to complement White/Wallace/Johnson/Jackson.

You are correct in that the ground game needs to be a component of the offense but I think people expecting a massive shift in the ground games production will be disappointed. I think if this team can retain the same O-line (Dawkins-Ike/Ford-Mitch-Mongo-D.Williams) they will have enough talent to make a push in the ground attack. Moss and Singletary while not elite backs are quality young backs that I think can be productive running behind this O-line. The issue to me is more so of design and not talent. Daboll needs to have a running play set that can set that ground attack when it is needed.

It all depends where the cap sits. If the cap is under 185 million which many think it will be I think Brown is a cap casualty unless he takes a massive pay cut to get his cap number below 5 million. If the cap is over 195 million and the Bills actually have some room to work with then I think Brown can stay esp if he takes a small pay cut to lower his cap number to around 7ish million.

The Bills don't have a running game because Josh was so impactful throwing the ball. I do hope that this team can find more balance when needed but don't expect this team to have a consistent ground game in 2021.

It would have been a closer game but I am too sure if the Bills would have won. I think Brady would have eaten this defenses lunch. Which means Josh would have had to put up 30ish to win and against a good defense that might have been hard. Overall though the Fisher injury sealed KC's fate and that's unfortunate because I think the game would have been much more competitive had they at least had Fisher.

Bring back Wallace on an affordable deal and draft a CB in round 5. I like Tre/Wallace/Johnson as the starting 3 and then you have Jackson, Gaines and another mid-round pick for depth. So many other areas of concern that I would rather not spend limited resources at a position where the team is fairly solid at.

If the cap crunches to around 180ish a year (slightly higher than the 175 million floor but still putting the Bills right up against the cap the Bills might have to let Mongo and Milano walk. With cutting John Brown, Vernon Butler, Lee Smith and Quinton Jefferson and restructuring Mitch, Hughes and Addision you probably put yourself around 33 million in cap space. Enough to resign D.Williams but not much else. Hopefully the NFL comes to its senses and get the cap closer to 195 million. Just have the players keep 15% of their checks in escrow and take back whatever you need to make up for the shortfalls at the end of the season. It's what the NBA did to keep their cap the same.

Honestly the turning point in the game was when Eric Fisher got hurt in the AFCCG. Outside of Mahomes Fisher might be the most important player on KC's offense. Fisher would have been or at least had a good chance to block Shaq Barrett one on one which would have helped ease the pressure massively on Mahomes and given him a shot to put up points. Mahomes is a dynamic generational QB but you can only do so much when the defense is getting pressure with the front 4 almost every snap.
