  1. We have 4 tough games at home.. but all of them are winnable. 3 tough games on the road.. but we could beat the Saints or Steelers. If we have a good football team, it wont matter how hard the schedule looks 9 months before the season starts.
  2. 7 years to build a good team that people will pay to see
  3. I'm not sure why Talib is on that list.. the patriots just signed him a few weeks ago and he is in no way an integral part of the team. I wouldn't want to pay Welker the kind of money he will demand on the open market. Edelman is the 6th receiving option on that team, at best. He would not be missed in the offense. Mallet is an interesting one.. although its probably the least likely of all of them. Volmer would be a welcome addition, but I doubt the pats are willing to part with him.
  4. I for one applaud how Chan has handled Spiller this season. He's a young player still growing into his role and Chan has enabled him to have a great season. Watch the last 3 games of the season when he's running on fresh legs. Some people will say, "See! I told you so! Look what Spiller does when he gets 20 carries!". But the truth of the matter is that is that CJ hasnt been worn down by too many touches at this point in the season.
  5. Theres no way vick is a downgrade from fitz
  6. He's has a good arm. Are you watching this game? The raiders offensive line is terrible.. he has no time.
  7. Good stuff! I will definitely check these out every week if you continue to do them.
  8. During the 4 game stretch they're talking about we've played the Patriots, Dolphins, Colts and Jaguars. Total Offense: #1 Patriots #3 Colts #28 Dolphins #31 Jaguars So they've played 2 of the worst and 2 of the best.. seems like a pretty good sample to me.
  9. I can't say I love the idea of investing serious $ in a wide out that is on the wrong side of 30. As far as I'm concerned.. the offseason plan should be to find the next franchise QB at all costs. If you do that, you solve a lot of your other problems. Look at what Andrew Luck is doing this year with 1 good WR and bunch of castoffs.
  10. You say that like it is an accomplishment. 8 wins in 25 games is abysmal.
  11. According to the playoff machine.. If we win out, but 1 of Pittsburgh's 2 losses come again the Cowboys (NFC), they would be in the playoffs. Basically we need Pittsburgh to lose 2 games against AFC opponents, then we would have the tie breaker. We need Cincinnati to lose 1 of their 2 games against the AFC (they play PIT and BAL). If they go 2-2, but both their losses come against NFC opponents (DAL and PHI), they would have the tiebreaker against us.
  12. I dont think there's any reason to over react to these comments.. what can he really say? Everything is going to be re evaluated in the offseason.
  13. I'm on board! Lets get this Optimism Locomotive Running!
  14. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
  15. Definitely Fitz. The offense is limited because of him, not because of Chan. The defense has already shown signs of improving and I wouldn't be surprised if Wannestadt's unit ends up with a respectable ranking based on the slew of sub par talent coming up on the schedule. Any defense needs time to work into their new system and learn their roles. If we can get a good middle lb this year in the offseason it'll help out his scheme a lot.
  16. I cant tell if you're joking in this post... Adrian Peterson, Arian Foster, Lesean McCoy, Ray Rice, Jamal Charles, Doug Martin.. All guys that would get drafted ahead of Spiller or Jackson. Gronk and Hernandez would barley go ahead of Chandler??? There are 20 TEs that would get drafted ahead of Chandler. Just the fact that you mention McKelvin makes me think that you're being sarcastic. Either you don't get the premise of this thread or you are an huge homer. I actually like this idea and think you make a good point. I'd say probably 10 QBs would go in the first round and then the elite players at other positions until you finally get to Mario, Levitre or Spiller. I couldn't see any of those guys going before round 3 though. A good way to check this out would be to simulate a madden fantasy draft and see where all the bills players come off the board.
  17. I hated that punt call
  18. I dont think theres really a point in drafting 2 QBs this year.. maybe one this year and one in 2014. If you draft 2 this year then you arent instilling very much confidence in the guy whose drafted first.
  19. I think most people would disagree with you wholeheartedly.
  20. I think if anything this proves how valuable Fred Jackson is. Spiller went from averaging 7.3 ypc to 4.1 ypc in this game. Yes, Spiller is a threat to score every time he touches the ball. But when Fred pounds the defense and then Spiller comes in for a change of pace, the defenses can't react to the change of speed and a fresh Spiller. Our running game is much more effective when both guys are healthy.
