  1. Haha Roethlisberger is classic
  2. Here are two players career stats: Player 1 (51 games) - 59.4% cmp, 7,075 yds, 38 tds, 35 ints (1.08 td/int) Player 2 (64 games) - 59.1% cmp, 12,146 yds, 80 tds, 73 ints (1.09 td/int) Got any guesses? Player 1 is Jackson, Player 2 is Fitz. At worst, Jackson is the same caliber player as Fitz. Why not give him a shot?
  3. Without exaggerating.. This would be the WORST time to start contract negotiations with Byrd. Didn't we do this one year ago with Fitz? How has that worked out so far... Never start negotiations with a guy after he just wins you a game. Seems like common sense..
  4. Jackson is better than Thigpen. Only, the 7th rounder we traded for him becomes a 6th rounder if he is active in more than 6 games. I think that has something to do with why we havent seen him dress yet.
  5. Haha hilarious.. On a side note.. man is wes welker tough.
  6. This is certainly not true for the good QBs in the league.. Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Ryan almost always throw the ball more than 30 times a game and their teams almost always win. For example, Brady (2011): More than 30 attempts: 12-3 Less than 30 attempts: 1-0 My point is that we do not have a good quarterback, and therefore we need to run the ball more.
  7. I did a little research to try and find out if there were any factors that determined a bills win or loss besides the obvious ones like turnovers, time of possession, etc. I found something pretty interesting. Since 2010, in games where Ryan Fitzpatrick has more than 30 attempts, the Bills are 4-21. In that same time frame, when Fitzpatrick attempts fewer than 30 passes, the Bills are 8-4. I know there are some other factors that probably play into that, for instance the defensive performance. But it cant be a coincidence that when our biggest offensive liability has fewer touches, we win more games. With that said, I would love to see the Bills commit to the run in Arizona. Don't be afraid to just line up and run the ball 40-50 times a game. If we do that, Fred and CJ are bound to break off some runs and we are going to wear down their defense and control the clock. We have the horses to do it, why don't we?
  8. Kind of like how Vick and Mccoy have? Oh wait.. that hasnt really worked out yet.
  9. I dont want another teams trash..
  10. Sorry, I thought you meant non-rookies, not on their rookie contracts. Either way, it doesnt change the fact that we're paying him more than he's worth and more than he would get on the open market.
  11. it was YOU! You better not let that flame die.. burn it 24/7! Lift that curse!
  12. Well you may want a qualified starting QB now, but we dont have one and they dont grow on trees. The next best thing is a young prospect. Is Fitz one of the lowest paid non-rookie QBs? Not sure where you go that..
  13. The way I see it, if Gailey gets one more chance after this year he'll have to take a QB in order to save his skin. If Gailey gets the axe, the first thing the new coach will want is a young stud QB to build around. I just cant see any situation where this team doesn't take a QB with a first round pick.
  14. Why don't you ask your Seahawk friends if they would rather have Wilson or Fitz starting for their team? All bills fans want is a young QB with potential.. why wouldnt they want Wilson? I would love to hear what the rest of the league thinks about the Bills starting Fitz.. my bet is that they laughed at us when we gave him a big contract and look forward to playing against him.
  15. Flacco, Dalton, Ponder - all guys that we could have / should have taken. Especially in the 2011 draft. Huge question marks at the QB position and we pass up a couple of high potential guys. You wont see that happen in this draft. Guaranteed.
  16. Career Stats: Romo - 64.6% cmp%, 154 TDs, 80 INTs Cutler - 60.9% cmp%, 124 TDs, 93 INTs Stafford - 60.6% cmp%, 63 TDs 41 INTs Vick - 56.2% cmp%, 117 TDs, 78 INTs (34 rush TDs) Fitz - 59.1% cmp%, 80 TDs, 73 INTs You are waay off base on Romo. He is not almost out of a job and is one of the top 10 QBs in the league. I cant fathom how you can call any of the guys on that list garbage when you're comparing them to Fitz. All of them are much more accomplished and have a much higher ceiling.
  17. "Wilson's limitations due to his height, combined with other problems in his game" Hah! People have been knocking this kid for his height for his entire football career.. hasnt stopped him from succeeding before. Other problems in his game? Quite the general statement there.. why dont you try to name some of them? The only thing thats fairly evident is that you dont know much about Russell Wilson and are judging him on an insufficient number of games.
  18. We run an offense that would be perfect for a QB like chad pennington. Someone who is accurate and makes quick decisions. Fitz is only one of those things.
  19. haha I hope you're wrong on that..
  20. Imagine if Stevie was 8 feet tall and had a 4 foot vertical? Then maybe he'd be able to reach some of the passes that Fitz throws his way
  21. There is no way our defense is as bad as the defense we've seen on the field in the past two games. It just isn't possible to be that bad for a whole season. They will get better. I am anything but a Fitz supporter, but even he is not as bad as he's played in the last two games. He has been horribly inconsistent on his throws and has been a turnover machine. He will get better. The coaching has been absolutely abysmal on the defensive side of the ball. I'm not sure if this will get better, but it cant get any worse. Kolb Locker/Hasselbeck Schaub Brady Tannehill Luck Gabbert Bradford Wilson/Flynn Tannehill Sanchez Who scares you so much that you only think they'll win two more games?
  22. If they lose the next two... I will start to panic and immediately go into "high draft pick" mode
  23. Smith is pretty good, although his supporting cast is the best in the league. Sanchez is bad. I'm willing to give the Bills a pass on the Jets game in week 1. The team is much different now then it was then (no holmes, hill, revis)
