Nicely put. At this point there really aren't any more people defending Fitz as a top 10 QB like there was at the beginning of the year. Everyone is on the same page.. so whats the point of continuing to call him terrible? Especially when he had one of his best games of the year.

All that is assuming we miss the two point conversion.. which we likely would have converted based on how we were playing and our opponent (the worst defense in the league). Especially knowing that our own defense is the second worst in the league. You really have to go for two there. Just to be clear.. you do think they should have gone for two, dont you?

I think it was game-breaking.. what was the final score? The worst part is that absolutely nothing would have changed if we had missed the two point conversion. The titans would have needed a touchdown to take the lead either way. There was essentially nothing to lose by going for two.

I was screaming at the TV when Fitz threw the ball 4 and 2 yards on the first two plays of the last drive. Neither of them were even on the sideline. Completely baffling.. that drive couldnt have gone much worse.

We have a defense, we need new coaching. The talent is there to be a pretty good defense, we just have the worst scheme in league history. No matter how you slice it we still need a QB. Fitz has not been good this year regardless of how the defense has played.

We need a new coaching staff that can start over with a new QB. After this year we should start fresh. I got that much.. but that doesnt change the fact that we also need a new QB.

I've gotten to the point where I am 90% sure that the bills have no shot at the playoffs now. The problem is, we have such an easy schedule after the by week that I can see this team winning 7 or 8 games and being just good enough to get the 15th overall pick in the draft. This is what we needs to happen.. 1) Go all out against the Texans and the Patriots and try to win one of those games. If we win one of those, I think we have an outside chance to finish with 9 or 10 wins and somehow squeeze into the playoffs. 2) If we lose to both the Texans and the Patriots, we need to bench Fitz and lose out in order to get a top 3 draft pick. We need to get a franchise QB in the draft, no matter what. We aren't going to do that by drafting at #10. If we lose the next two, we need to throw the season like the colts did last year in order to get a top flight signal caller that will be the face of our franchise for the next 12-15 years. I know its not the most admirable thing to do, but this franchise has gone waay to long without a good QB. If we tank the rest of the way and draft a good QB, we'll be thankful for the next decade or more.

You need a good middle linebacker to run a 4-3. Sheppard is not a good middle linebacker.

The point is.. that the only meaningful way to acquire a good QB is to draft one, or to trade top draft picks for one. All of the "resources" that the bills have devoted (aka a few million dollars and a couple 7th round draft picks) have been meaningless. Yes they probably will draft a QB this year with their first round pick.. but that doesn't excuse the fact that they should have drafted one last year and the year before.

You don't improve your QB situation by bringing in proven losers. When has that ever worked? Young, Thigpen, Jackson - which of these guys do you think the front office pinned their hopes on? If they had faith in any of these guys to win the starting role, then our FO is in worse trouble then I thought. Thats why the bills need to draft a QB. You do not take one teams trash and turn it into a gold mine. You can say this about Fitzpatrick as well. He fits in the same category as any of those guys listed above. Theres a reason why they hop from team to team and get cut after a few years at each stop. I agree that Fitz is the best QB in Buffalo, but the FO needs to do something about that besides bring in other washed up backups.

Having Fred as the starter keeps Spiller fresh and explosive. I dont agree with Chan on a lot, but splitting the workload between the two backs is one of the best things he's done. There's a reason CJ is averaging over 7 yards per carry. Fred wears teams down and while they have their hands on their hips trying to catch their breath, CJ comes in a breaks off a big one with his explosive speed. Splitting the carries is working perfectly, we just need to run the ball more.

Do you guys have any evidence that Jackson is struggling to learn the playbook? I have been assuming that they havent activated him because they dont want the 7th round pick they traded for him to turn into a 6th round pick (happens if he's active for more than 6 games)
