  1. Well I'm critical of Fitz because he's the QB of the team I follow. Also, I live in Boston so I see more than my fare share of Brady playing. That guy does not miss easy throws. I know I'm probably holding Fitz to too high of a standard.. But I know he can make the throws that he missed on Sunday.
  2. I didnt "crap" on that play. He made the right play in that situation. That is not what I'm knocking Fitz for. I'm knocking him for the misses on easy throws. Just because he made the throw we discussed and the throw to chandler, does not mean he had a great game.
  3. How about the eye test? What did Fitz do that was worthy of one of the top performances of week 2? I'm not going to repost all of the evidence that I've posted throughout this thread. If you want you can go back and read it.
  4. Because QB rating is the only way to determine how well QBs play
  5. Lady? I just don't think Fitz played that well against the chiefs and I'm still worried about our QB play moving forward. Thats my deal. Whats yours? Also I like engaging in discussions on this message board.. I dont know why people get all bent out of shape when people do that.
  6. I thought he was getting frustrated with Fitz in the first game.. after Fitz missed him on the slant pattern he didnt seem chipper.
  7. Some people might hold QBs to higher standards than others. "Not turning the ball over" does not, in itself, qualify a good thing. He completed less than 60% of his passes and missed on some easy throws. One TD pass was a 5 yard pass that stevie took to the house. Also I'm not sure how 34 = nearly 40 yards in scrambles.
  8. Answer: "First throw of the game wasn’t a good one, it was one of those game where I was asked to manage the game and not turn the ball over." I think that pertains to both of these I bet in the last few years he has a handful of games above 90 and a handful below 60.
  9. Either that or he is wildly inconsistent, which I think is closer to the truth.
  10. I have said that Fitz made a good decision, I just also think it was an easy one. And I also do not think that Fitz did anything special on that play because most QBs can do what he did on that play. You are the one who keeps bringing up good vs great. You are entitled to your opinion that he was great on that play. Thats fine with me, I just dont think of it in the same way. I think Fitz played terrible in game one, and average in game two. If you ask Fitz, I bet that he would say he could play a whole lot better than he played against Chiefs.
  11. Of course I cant know this but I can make an educated guess. Fitz looks at the first receiver on his left, then the second receiver on his left, then whips his head to the right when they are not open. Then he throws to Stevie who he sees wide open in the middle. So my guess, is that he was going through his first couple of reads and then to his third when the first two were not open.
  12. Thank you for explaining this.. they did not get what I was saying.
  13. All of this based on 1 game? What about the entirety of last year? I agree that it was his 3rd read. Thats why I think he was just going through his reads, not deliberately looking a player off to go to his 1st read.
  14. So you think he has been a great decision maker? I did see the linebacker move to his right.. I just don't think that Fitz looking him off on purpose.
  15. I think its more a product of how the first 2 games went. First one we were down big and had to throw, second one we were up big and ran the clock. Neither of these games are a good representation of our offensive balance.
  16. I'm just saying that making that throw doesn't make him a good QB. All 32 starting QBs in the NFL would have made that throw. He went through his reads like any QB would have.. the protection was great. He saw stevie was wide open and threw him the ball. We both agree it was an easy throw. I disagree that he was "looking the coverage off". I think he just went through his reads like anyone would. I dont think that plays qualifies as a great play by Fitz.
  17. I wouldn't call that a great decision, just the right decision. Stevie was WIDE open and that was one of his easiest throws of the day. It was a 5 yard pass that Stevie took the rest of the way.
  18. First off.. if the throw was tipped, thats still on the QB. Regardless of the throws he missed or didnt, theres more that goes into being a good QB. What about the decisions he made? Did he miss an open guy on those throws where he just "threw it away"? What did he do that makes him worthy of being a good QB? So far everyone is pointing out things that he didnt screw up, but what great throws/decisions did he make? Overall I thought Fitz played with no confidence and missed some easy throws.
  19. I would argue that those 3 bad plays made his play in that game very average. 3/23 = 13% our QB shouldnt be missing easy throws 13% of the time. The 1st miss to chandler was way off on a very easy throw. The 2nd wasn't a terrible pass but still missed. The 3rd throw was another easy throw that he missed badly. Also, the TD pass to Chandler looked like a poor pass to me. Did you get a chance to look at that with the 22-angle? I'm curious because it seemed like he had a huge window and came very close to underthrowing Chandler. I appreciate the analysis though, thanks for putting that together.
  20. This all seems to make a lot sense.. probably wont happen
  21. Well for the most part we can count last year as well. Fewest sacks allowed and 4th highest rushing average. Doesnt that mean anything? I think the line is very well coached. It finally seems like we have a blocking scheme that works. And for everyone who is saying that they are not the best. I'm not saying they are the best in the league, just one of the best.
  22. How about fewest sacks and the 4th highest rushing average (ypc) last year? Also, we have the highest team yards/carry (6.4) this year so far by 0.7 yards. Pressure wasn't the reason Fitz threw picks in the first game.
  23. I know it has only been 2 weeks but this is just as much a continuation off of last year. No sacks allowed after 2 weeks, the league leader in rushing and yards/carry. No matter how "quickly Fitz gets rid of the ball", is it safe to say that this offensive line is one of the top units in the league?
  24. Boy am I glad that I read the second post in this thread before I read the first..
  25. Fitz is also 27th in the league in completion percentages at 54.9%. That has to change, he is missing easy throws.
