  1. Didnt we add Williams and Anderson so we wouldnt have to blitz to create pressure?
  2. Who says they stopped trying? They were "trying" all game.. they couldnt stop anything
  3. There is a difference between the 2003 patriots and the 2012 bills. You actually highlighted it above, Tom Brady. The 2003 patriots had already won a superbowl and had a young up and coming QB on their team. The reason people are down on this team is because they came out for the season opener and laid an egg. Our "improved" journeyman QB looked worse than he every has and we let a team that is known for its offense trouble, put up 48 points against us.
  4. That throw to Cromartie was one of the worst INTs I've seen. He was airmailing his passes, staring down receivers, throwing behind guys on crossing routes. He was just plain awful and we'll lose 14 games if he plays like that all season. I havent been that disappointed after a game in a while. At least he had a chance to get some of his confidence back at the end of the game when the Jets were laying off. Maybe that'll help him out at the start of next game.
  5. Dareus.. he'll be a top DT in the league by years end
  6. this will always be my favorite http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ToVAlkwqJg
  7. Sunday feels like its 2 weeks away..
  8. I'm wondering what a win or a loss will do for this teams psyche. I think if we lose, the loss will light a fire under everyone's behinds and this team will be motivated to make the playoffs. If we win, well its just hard to trust them after the fast starts they've had. Either way this game is not a must win.
  9. People really wouldnt want to give Branch a shot here? We could cut Thigpen after Sundays game and make room for him. At worst he can give us some insight to the Pats offense. At best he can be the 2nd best receiving option on the team.
  10. Nice notes. Will you be doing this for every game?
  11. Thought this was pretty cool breakdown of all 16 games. http://espn.go.com/nfl/photos/gallery/_/id/8310034/image/2/buffalo-bills-2012-season-projections Projected record: 11-5 Chance at playoffs: 34.8% Chance at division: 9.3% Fewer teams had a better offseason than the Bills. They kept their explosive offensive talent and added some on D. After a 1-7 road record in '11, their nondivisional away games include the Browns, Cards and Colts. And the AFC East isn't too taxing. They will win at least eight.
  12. Looks like you cant be logged in to 2 devices at the same time.. thanks for posting this thread
  13. Haha I'm with you.. optimism is hard to come by sometimes. Sept 9 cant come fast enough!
  14. Come on McDebbie.. try to stay positive
  15. He was a good bill when he was healthy. Its hard to watch a player struggle with injury problems year after year because its out of their control. McGee has been nothing but a model citizen since he's been in buffalo and I think thats why people like and respect him. Not to mention he was one of the most explosive kick returners we've ever had.. there's a lot to like about McGee but I agree. At some point you have to move on.
  16. So if I do not get directv service and I only purchase the online service, only 1 person will be able to sign in and watch?
  17. Thanks everyone for your help and advice
  18. Ryan Leaf and Jamarcus Russell got hype equivalent to what Luck and RGII are getting this year. And they flamed out of the league in their first few years. If thats not being over hyped then I don't know what is. At least Vick is a solid started who has proven he can get a team to the playoffs and win in the playoffs. Are you really trying to throw Celek and Avant in there like they are actually valuable players? I can think of 15 TEs I would rather have than Celek. Avant? Really? He was less productive than David Nelson last year. If by so much talent you mean they have 3 good skill players.. then you're right. Half of the league has 3 good skill players on their team.
  19. We lose a close one 21-17... for some reason sanchez always plays pretty well against us and our defensive still needs time to gel. Our offense doesnt match up well against the Jets defense. We can't run effectively on them and they have a stingy pass d. However this game does motivate the players to work harder and instead of starting strong and falling off.. this loss serves as a kickstart and a foundation for a solid season.
  20. If you're being fair then you have to include rushing yards and rushing tds into your statistics there. Also he's only been with Andy Reid for 2 seasons. What about the rest of his career? If you include rushing.. 3000 yds in 6 of 7 years starting (the one year he didnt he played only 5 games due to an injury) 20 tds in 4 of 7 years starting its hard to call him the most overrated/overhyped qb in history when guys like Ryan Leaf and Jamarcus Russell accomplished absolutely nothing. Vick is still a top 15 qb in the league right now.. how can he be that overrated?
  21. Very interesting.. thanks for putting all of that together. Good to know that the deeper numbers support TJ over VY
