Its neither of those things, it’s what I said years ago when everyone was crying about how “conservative” his play calling was which was that the level of talent and trust in his players dictates the aggressiveness of the play calls. When he had a top 5 defense and a below average OL, putrid wide receivers and a very green QB you will naturally get a more “conservative” offense and play calling. As the talent level has increased and QB play have improved his trust in his players have gone up and not coincidentally the aggressiveness in play calling has mirrored that.

What makes Allen win even more impressive aside from the fact that it was on the road against a good 49ers Defense in a primetime game is that he did it against a zone defense. Josh has been much better against man coverages than zones this year and to see him carve it with a mix of jaw dropping plays and making good reads and the give me 10 yard pickups. Great game and promising for his development.

Knew it during his rookie year at the Dolphins game that we ended up losing. Went to the game with my brother and dad and we all realized that Josh was our franchise QB.

Best overall performance for the Bills today. San Francisco is a very physical team that is able to impose their will with the ground game and they weren't able to. And the offense was almost unstoppable, they couldn't come close to slowing down Allen.

Chargers are a talented team. This was their first loss (I believe) of more than 8 points. The Bills overcame 3 turnovers which cost them from winning this game by even more than they did and the defense and running game played well. Running the ball and playing good defense is what this team will need to be able to put themselves in better position to win games in the playoffs. Josh needs to be able to dissect zone defenses better but he did accurately throw the ball enough to keep moving the chains aside from that bad pick .

No, but he's definitely a first team pro bowler and has a shot at being at first team All Pro.

I think you hit the nail right on the head. I was talking with my brother about this very same topic and idea. The Bills have a fair amount of play makers on defense with a good secondary. They also have an offense that can put a lot of points in the board. Considering the league is scoring more and more points it just makes sense to let Josh and the offense do their thing and play a lot more aggressive defense and give them a chance to make more plays. If they get burnt a couple times then so be it, you have an offense that can put up points themselves. The defensive philosophy should be focused not so much in trying to contain the opposing offense but putting the defense in a position to make plays.

You just need to be more of a process truster.

The high stepping is not a showboat move. It's to change gears, going at one speed, slows down which causes the defender to slow down and gives him the opportunity to accelerate after the slow down and to go by the defender.

Suspend the players that were at the practice for 2 games a piece. Forfeit a 3rd rounder. Fine the Organization $3 million. Fine each player $200k If another players tests positive between now and gameday, they forfeit the game as well.

I was a believer after the Sammy Watkins trade.

The punishment is going to have to be harsh to send a message. The audience is larger than just NFL fans. My guess is that they will hope that no other players test positive between now and Gameday. If no other players test positive, they will suspend the players that attended that workout with a 2 game suspension. They will fine the team $2 Million . They will forfeit a 3rd round draft choice. If a player does come back as positive, they will do all the above and they will forfeit this weeks game.

@gordong I was referring to this tweet. Says Canceling or forfeiting. To me that implies that a cancellation without a forfeit is an option.
