Three Colts that helped swing the game to the Bills today
Magox replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was the prevailing thought that in order for the Colts to win they’d have to score TD’s and not field goals. They were aggressive and fell short on some of those calls. They had a hell of a game plan and their O and D line executed better than our line. Rivers was very solid and they played the game that they needed to have a chance at winning and they almost did. Cant take anything away from them, they proved themselves to be a very tough team, the problem for them is that we have Josh Allen and that was the difference. -

As much as the Bills were dominating their opponents over the past 6 weeks I think getting a very close hard fought win in the playoffs against a team that executed the exact sort of game plan that is ideal to beat the Bills will serve us very well. I think Daboll will come out with more of a passing plan next week and hopefully the defense can handle the play action much better than it did today. -
Their front 4 was getting decent pressure and they disguised their blitzes well. They were getting good pressure when they did blitz.

He will learn from that play and yes he was awesome today. He makes these difficult plays look routine and we sometimes take that for granted.

Bills 27, Colts 24 Game Balls!!!! Playoff win baby!!!!!

Allen Diggs Gabe Beasley Bass Tremaine -
I don't care how the win happened, we win! We Win and continue! The Colts played a hell of a game and had the exact game plan that they needed. We pulled through and that is all that matters. And the refs almost screwed us. That was a damn fumble and it wasn't even close.

Colts Running Game could limit Bills offense
Magox replied to ProcessTruster's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Buffalo is going to open it up and I expect to see lots of 4 - 5 Receiver sets throughout the game. I wouldn’t be surprised if they throw the ball 80% of the game. Just hammer at their weakness with all sort of looks and stay away from their strength their run defense. -
On offense It’s always Josh Allen. All day every day. Defensively I think Tremaine is a good choice. I’m fairly certain they will be running and throwing a lot of short and intermediary passes. Tremaine will be very important to the success of the defense tomorrow.

The Duke hate is overboard on this board and definitely is not shared by the fan base. The guy plays hard and has endeared himself with the fan base and can make contested catches. Don’t get me wrong, he doesn’t deserve to be on the regular starting roster but I have no problem with him getting some call ups in a next man up situation.

It's great that they are super loose. I remember the Bills during their 4 Super Bowl losses and Jim Kelly would come running out of the tunnel and it looked like he had just thrown up with the cold sweats, whereas the Cowboys looked loose as hell. This team is loose, they have swag and there is no way in hell that during practice that they weren't focused with the task at hand. This team knows what is at stake.

Well deserved for the best quick twitch route runner in the league.

Colts Running Game could limit Bills offense

I think they are gonna try to pound the rock and use the short/intermediate pass game to limit possessions. And even though they don’t blitz often I would expect them to blitz much more often than they normally do to speed up Josh Allen’s internal clock to try to force some negative plays, TO’s and to get them off the field. I don’t see how they just go with a typical 4 man rush throughout the game, they’ll get carved up if they do. One thing to have the game plan it’s another to effectively execute it. Buffalo should sell out to stop the run and the short intermediate game. If they give up a big play or two they can handle that. The bigger risk is Indianapolis scoring touchdowns while eating clock. Also plan against their varying blitz packages that they have shown. -
Some executives view Allen as preferable to Mahomes long term
Magox replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Bills win the superbowl I would imagine that close to half of the NFL's executives would feel the same way. What Josh has been doing over the past month is some of the best QB play that I have ever seen from a Bill QB. This uber confidence from the fans is not just because of the 13-3 record, let's call a spade a spade. It's because of Josh Allen. What he has done is nothing short of phenomenal and he gives this organization and fans tremendous confidence not only for this post season but for the next 10-20 years. -
When you thought you couldn't love this team anymore.

I'm mesmerized by this video. I feel like this is looking at a Where's Waldo pic....the more you look through the varying players the more you see how much fun each one of them are having. Beas doing his warmups without a limp. Stefon doing cross overs. Gabe doing Karate Kicks. Josh Allen playing pretend basketball with Gabe guarding him and so on and so on. This is one super loose group.

We broke Miami’s will last weekend. How many other teams in 2020?
Magox replied to AKC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The biggest difference between this Bills team and the team that faced the Rams is that they now don't take the foot off the pedal when they are up. They absolutely crushed Miami's spirits, that team straight up gave up midway through the third quarter. -
Does the bills success continue without daboll?
Magox replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Depends. As long as Josh Allen plays the offense will always at the very least be pretty good even with a bad OC, but with a good OC the offense will be a juggernaut. Just gotta make sure that we keep surrounding him with a good O line and weapons. -
Kind of weak sauce that Colin allowed her to get himself out of the bet.

That last play where he throws the TD to Brown over the top was truly special. It encapsulates almost the entire spectrum of his improvement all in one play. His pre read of the play was perfect, he recognizes that it's going to be a 0 blitz. He starts off the play audibling and changing blocking assignments so that each potential rusher is accounted for. McKenzie and Moss are lined up and fortunately they perfectly did their jobs. Then Josh recognizes during the play that Byron is playing off Diggs and he manipulates him by using a shoulder pump fake that causes Byron to slightly bite on what potentially looked like a slant pattern by Brown. Brown does a fantastic job also selling the slant and once Byron bit on the fake slant he was beat. Then Josh looks off to the other side of the field even though there was no safety that he needed to manipulate and then comes back and throws an absolute dime to Brown to finish the play for a TD. It had it all, pre reading of the snap, instructing players to go to their blocking assignments, recognition of 0 blitz, manipulating defenders with his eyes and pump fakes and then the perfect the pass to beat it over the top. This was perfect.
