Wow the New York Times did a great job tracking what happened to the kid and the shootings. I can't believe they actually investigated this properly. The kid was being chased after in both circumstances with people holding hand guns. Before the first incident, one of the guys chasing him shot his gun into the air. Just imagine how frightened he was when that happened. He turns around and what does he see? The guy who threw an object at him attacking, right before he heard gun shots. Of course he was justified to shoot the guy. And then moments later he's running away, he doesn't know what the hell is going on and then a mob of people are chasing him, and now you have another guy with a gun chasing him. And other people attacking him. That's it. Self defense. CASE CLOSED!

The plot thickens. One of the guys who died was harassing them earlier that night. Here is a video of him being shot. This is a different video and different circumstance. It appears this was the first one. The other video happened a couple minutes later. Here you can see that the guy was chasing the kid and threw something at him Then the kid after about 20 seconds ran off and when he ran off that’s when the mob chased him that led to the other shots. It all happened within minutes

You should watch the video. And sadly yes, if he hadn't of been there, those 2 people would be alive.
