  1. That's a lot of innuendo that you just threw in there. Federal policy interest rate decision makers and investors don't view it in the scope you just laid out. It's simple, is the economy growing at a rate to where interest rates need to return to a normalization of interest rates to avoid inflation? That's it, nothing else. We are still at a low rate for interest rates and if we had remained at very low interest rates then that would imply that the economy is still not that strong. The fact that interest rates are rising above these historically low rates is an indication that the economy is finally kicking into the next gear. So do I believe that the tax cuts have helped the economy expand more so than if we hadn't have had them? Yes. I think it has helped the middle class in two ways, A) They received a small tax cut that helped them some and B) It has helped businesses invest more money into their company than if there hadn't been the tax cuts. Without doubt the tax cuts have been a net plus in regards to overall growth for the economy. My concern is what sort of national debt implications there are. I won't know that until we see how much the added growth added to tax receipt collections vs the cost of the cuts from the original baseline if there hadn't been the cuts.
  2. I thought Allen was beginning to look more comfortable out there. There were lots of bad plays made by his teammates today, overall I think it was a step in the right direction for him. And in regards to the team, I'm very encouraged that this defense is beginning to look like a championship caliber defense. They have been lights out since the first 6 quarters and aside from Lorenzo and Kyle who are very important players the defense is very young. Lot's to look forward to in regards to the defense. Now we just need to get a couple more lineman and WR's and we're in business.
  3. Wow! If true and he has no good reason that to me would seal his fate with the Bill's for 2019
  4. You dont understand negotiations or leverage.
  5. It's not just the Senate seats where there has been a decisive movement towards the GOP but even in a number of house seats. Kavanaugh has propelled the GOP, at least for the time being.
  6. 2 more new polls from NY times came out today Marshburn up 14 in TN Cruz up 8 in TX

Will be interesting to see latest polling from Florida, Indiana, Montana and Missouri I really want to see McCaskill lose
  8. Vox analysis comes from highfalutin elitist douchebags. Aside from that they are ok
  9. J.A sorry to hijack your thread, I'm curious to know your thoughts on the Kavanaugh issue.
  10. The stock "selloff" wasn't due to any worries of the economy as a matter of fact it was to the contrary. Rising rates are being contributed to a healthy economy with no inflation in site according to wallstreet metrics.. Even the NY times acknowledges as such. Interest rates are rising for all the right reasons --------------In effect, the multi-trillion dollar global bond market is signaling a little greater confidence than it did just a few weeks ago that the nine-year expansion in the United States may have room to keep going for years to come, and without inflation taking off. The yield on 10-year United States Treasury bonds reached a seven-year high this week of 3.25 percent (it receded some Wednesday as stocks dropped), up from 2.82 percent in August. The 10-year rate was below 1.4 percent as recently as July 2016. But beyond those headline numbers, the details of how the prices of different types of securities have moved relative to one another tell a story that is decidedly optimistic.---------- This is what many investors and economists refer to as the "Goldilocks economy"
  11. I've been checking out the polling for the Senate races post the Kavanaugh debacle from the Democrats. Holy crap. Every single poll has moved in the R's direction and decisively. Heidkamp is down double digits Heller who had been losing every single poll in Nevada is now up in the last 2 polls. McSally up 6 in the last poll over Sinema in Arizona Cruz now up 9 and pulling away from Beto in Tx. Marshburn up 8 in TN. Even other Democrats who were favored to win and most likely still will are having their leads cut in margin. It's clear that at this moment, R's have definitely galvanized their support. Heck even Fox news viewership has absolutely demolished MSNBC and CNN since Kavanaugh. This was a huge miscalculation by the Dems. At least so it appears at the moment
  12. If Bernie were to win it he'd probably choose Kamala Harris to be his running mate. Or Eric Holder. He would need African American turnout to be pretty high and crazy uncle Bernie doesnt jazz up that part of the electorate.
  13. In normal times I'd disagree with you but the literal character assassination attempts of Kavanaugh, the despicable mob-like protests and the rhetoric coming from a number of Democrats and the fact that they are openly opining in wanting to pack the courts with more judges says !@#$ that!! I haven't been this pissed in a very long time. This **** has got me revved the !@#$ up.
  14. I'm not exaggerating when I say that he is representative of your average online leftist. This Democratic primary is going to be a contest of which chinchilla can screech the loudest. Its gonna be entertaining
  15. The anti Kavanaugh and delegitimization efforts from the media is on hyper steroids. If you think it couldn't have gone worse, you'd be wrong.
  16. Lyndsey Graham says hes going to campaign against all those in red and purple states that voted no. All I can say is this is going to the streets at the ballot box,” Graham, R-S.C., said during an interview on "Fox News Sunday." “I've never campaigned against a colleague in my life. That's about to change. I'm going to go throughout this country and let people in these purple states, red states, where Trump won know what I thought, know what I think about this process.” -------------------- All I can say is this is going to the streets at the ballot box,” Graham, R-S.C., said during an interview on "Fox News Sunday." “I've never campaigned against a colleague in my life. Dude is going to be a huge draw!
  17. I have been catching up and reading articles from the mainstream and it's more feverish than ever. They have lost all pretense of impartiality, they dont even pretend anymore. And that comment from Sarsour is so out of bounds its amazing that this socially acceptable. I dont think I'm exaggerating here, of this trend continues at this pace, I shudder to think where we will be in a decade. This is already nightmarishly bad.
  18. What's funny about this utterly retarded statement is that it's right out of the Democratic playbook. This is the best they have which is why the Republicans control more governorships, Republican state congresses, conservative supreme court, Republican Congress, Republican U.S Senate and the presidency. Maybe if you guys stepped away from this stupidity for a few you'd win a few more elections.
  19. Just touched down from a 20 hour flight and couldn't be happier with the news. Bravo Senator Collins. That was a tough vote for her to make, much harder to defend than Murkowski's.
  20. Flake says he is a yes tomorrow. Unless something new comes about, which he says would be hard to imagine. That would be huge Right now Manchin is praying to God that Collins votes yes. Because if not he'd be the deciding vote.
  21. I don't have a good feeling about this. Not one single accusation that has been lobbed at Kavanaugh has been substantiated or contemporaneously been corroborated. Think about that for a second. Neither Ramirez, Ford or Swetnick could come up with a single person to back up their claim. Between the 3 of them they have provided 10 names and out of those 10 names not a single one could recall their account. 0 for 10. What are the odds of that happening if what they said was true? Maybe one or two people could forget, but all 10? That is highly highly unlikely. Murkowski should be shunned and whoever votes no that is an R should never be voted in as an R ever again. I hope this time Murkowski gets primaried from a competent opponent. I think her calculation is that she can win as an I like she did the last time.
  22. Predictit has it 83% chance he will be confirmed. https://www.predictit.org/Contract/12469/Will-Brett-Kavanaugh-be-the-next-confirmed-Supreme-Court-justice#data I'm not buying it
  23. I dont know. I thought that Murkowski was the most likely to vote for him. Now that Murkowski is a no, I think that makes it easier for the others to say no. I dont think he will be confirmed
