  1. Despite the overwhelming evidence or lack there of this should be a no brainer and he should get confirmed. With that said, all the irrational fear mongering, McCarthyite and Salem witch hunt like crucifixion with a complicit media that has abandoned even the appearance of impartiality, I dont think hes going to get confirmed. That is what I'm sensing. I believe the holdouts are more sympathetic with the arguments from the left.
  2. Look!! This has even woken up Alaska Darin! He's not your typical right leaning dude but this is about as active as I've seen him since maybe one of the gun debates some 6-7 years ago.
  3. Comfortably smug, although he was a Jeb Bush Backer, he may be one of the most clever political twitter personalities out there.
  4. It woke me up! I haven't been this pissed in a very long time...Not since maybe I knew Trump was going to win the Republican Primary But seriously, I spoke about it with my parents and they are furious as well. I see it with my right leaning friends, which aren't many but they are very upset as well. And you can see the anger is palpable amongst the Republican politicians and pundits. The Democrats were already fired up before this and the R's were asleep. THat's changed, now you have a fired up R base and I think you'll see the R's expand their senate lead.
  5. Cocaine Mitch has been an incredible spokesman for this sham. That's the first time I think I ever heard him get choked up and as emotional as he was. I think his anger and others is a true reflection of how conservatives, libertarians, moderate R's feel about this. It has united 98% of all the spectrums of the right and people are furious
  6. We've really had four different investigative sources investigating the matter. You have the original 6 FBI background checks on Kavanaugh. You have the Senate investigative teams which it appears that many people are not aware that they have quite a bit of resources to investigate these matters. You better believe that whatever names were provided by either Kavanaugh or Ford, they've been looked into. Then you have this most recent FBI supplemental investigation which to my understanding reached out to 9 different people. Here is the last one and no one is talking about it because it's not under any official capacity. The press. We all know that the press hates the GOP and even more so Trump and it is as plain as day to anyone who is able to view this for what it is that they are blood thirsty and desperate to take Kavanaugh down. How many investigative journalists do you believe have been assigned to this account to try to uncover this story. If one of these investigative journalists had information that corroborated either Ramirez, Swetnicks or Ford's story you BETTER DAMN BELIEVE that it would have been out by now. I have no doubt in my mind that there are many investigative journalists who are scouring the dumpster to try to find anything. Which is why we have these stories of Kavanaugh organizing a college party with drinking in it or throwing ice in someone's face. That's all they can come up and they know damn well they tried their hardest to try to find anything that would have corroborated Ford's or any of the other lady's story. In my view the investigative journalists have put more resources than anyone to try to uncover anything and the best they could come up with is that Brett liked to drink a lot in college.
  7. Predictit has it at 81% chance he'll be confirmed. Highest yet. I don't know, the Republicans do sound awfully confident but I still believe that Flake is a no.
  8. Flake sending mixed signals. Now he's saying that he doesn't believe there should be any investigation on Kavanaugh's drinking and that it's hard to judge "excess drinking". That he is content with where the FBI investigation has gone. hmmm
  9. What's funny about all this is that there is no compromise. Coons is getting what he wants and he isn't sympathetic to GOP arguments yet Flake is caving in to what Coons wants and is beginning to express concerns to Democratic talking points.
  10. I still believe Flake is a no. The wiggle room he has been providing over the past day is different than his original statement when he voted yes. He now goes to temperament and partisanship, all that was available to him at the time that he made the statement close to a week ago. Why the sudden change? I'll tell you why, he's been hanging around Coons and speaking to left leaning audiences. He is reviled among the right, I'm pretty sure he doesn't even read or watch conservative media. However, if you go to "mainstream" media or leftwing website he is getting lots of love. You can see, he is sympathetic to the arguments from the left, and I believe he has now recently isolated himself among his previous supporters which were some of the more mainstream republicans but even they are furious with Flake. If he is a man of his word, he'll go based off his original criteria which had to do with the sexual assault allegation and if there is no corroborating evidence that points to that in this FBI investigation then he'll vote him in. I don't believe he will do that. I think he is now looking on to his next career which will have something to do with endearment from liberals. Murkowski I believe will be a yes, and Collins is just in a very difficult spot. The two other democrats Heidkamp and Manchin are wild cards, they could go either way. WIth Flake possibly voting No it makes it a bit easier for them to say no and if Collins is a no then no way they vote yes. It's going to be close. However Predictit is showing a 73% chance that it's a yes and it's been trending higher over the past 2 days. https://www.predictit.org/Contract/12469/Will-Brett-Kavanaugh-be-the-next-confirmed-Supreme-Court-justice#data That's correct, what he said is that he never blacked out. How can anyone prove that a "black out" occurred? They are still conscience in the eyes of others, they simply just don't have a recollection of what had happened. He never did say at least to my recollection that he didn't drink a lot. He said over and over that he liked beer. That he did things that when he looks back at his youth that he cringed over. No doubt that he attempted to minimize his drinking but who the !@#$ cares? The man was falsely accused and there have been tons of false allegations against him and there have been hundreds if not thousands of articles attacking him. Of course he's going to be defensive and it's not unreasonable to believe that the fix is in to get you. So that shouldn't even be a consideration.
  11. Corker and Kennedy are both sounding very confident about Kavanaugh's chances. Hmmm
  12. This is what I'm talking about. He heard these "partisan" comments from the beginning and he didn't make that a focal point. Now that he is speaking with more liberals and that he is finally getting love from somewhere, I just see him voting with the Dems. He has effectively moved the goal posts. Now it's up to Murkowski, Collins, Heidkamp and Manchin. Flake in my view is out.
  13. If someone made an unwelcome advance by whipping out their dick to me, and I felt as if I was violated in some manner by this supposed sexual deviant, I sure as hell wouldn't be taking a smiley group photo with the alleged perpetrator. We will see but that's not how I see it. Let's see if he sticks to his original statement which was that absence of any corroborating evidence he would vote him in.
  14. Flake I think is going to vote no. Hes been speaking in front of liberal audiences and when you read the comments in the live streaming events he gets lots of support from the left. He has no home on the right and I think hes going to look out for his next career whether that is to be an MSNBC token Republican or a moderate independent presidential candidate. I believe he will make the calculation that there is more currency to vote with the left. I think there is less than a 30% chance he votes for him. Murkowski I think votes for Kavanaugh. She wouldn't be re elected if she didnt. Collins is in no man's land. She's !@#$ed either way. I really dont know what she will do.
  15. They should do it! Just to remove their talking point, I have little doubt that she is credible and that she is making up the whole thing.
  16. Actually, it wasn't Ford nor Ramirez but Swetnick
  17. What the !@#$ are you talking about? It's not a conspiracy, it's a !@#$ing fact! The ABA president wrote the letter on behalf of him not the ABA. And what the hell does your second question have anything to do with anything? If he did it, then he shouldn't be confirmed but absence of any contemporaneous corroborating evidence this should go nowhere. Do you feel that an accusation on its own is enough to destroy someone's career?
  18. No, ABA did not call for the investigation, the president unilaterally did. The committee still stands behind Kavanaugh and they are the official word. Unfortunately, the media knows this and they don't care because it doesn't fit their agenda and it fools the tards and partisans.
  19. This is freaking unreal. I can't think of many things that I hate more than the media. They are corrupt I haven't been engaged in politics that much over the past year and a half but This Kavanaugh issue has got me fired the !@#$ up. No matter if it turns out that hes guilty or not, the facts that are out there unequivocally shows that he was not involved. I'm sick of it. I have already requested my ballots for my wife and I. I have contacted my brother and parents to get theirs. My parents watched the **** show and were brought to tears by Kavanaugh's testimony. People are pissed.
  20. They are negotiating in front of everyone!
