  1. It would take some gonads to go into the season with two rookie QBs, including one UDFA, but I don't entirely disagree. Personally, I would keep 3 QBs.
  2. Rogers is going to be cut. Whether he makes it to the practice squad remains to be seen. I hear that Sampson has looked good as well and may be practice squad competition for him.
  3. It was actually three. The first off the side of his foot for 19 yards and then the next two into the end zone when he was trying to put them down inside the 20. Three terrible punts.
  4. I think Marrone will name Manuel as the starter going into the Redskin game and play him the entire half. I think that the real battle is between Kolb and Tuel for the backup spot. Kolb still has the edge IMO, but I think that this may tighten up as we roll on.
  5. I'm just glad that the Bills aren't the ones making excuses for a change.
  6. The Vikes game will be an important test to evaluate where the Bills are in their development, especially their run defense. Unless of course they lose, in which case it's just a pre-season game that means nothing and the Bills will just "flip the switch" once the season starts.
  7. I'm all for fairness and giving everyone a chance but let's be honest, everyone knows that Manuel will be the starter week one unless he get's hurt or totally poops his pants in the next three games. That was pretty much guaranteed once the coaching staff watched Manuel during the first few of weeks of camp. This "competition" seems like a bit of a charade to me.
  8. Speaking of overrated, look up the statistics for the Bills pass defense during the years the great Winfield was at CB.
  9. Well, once he saw the injury to Butler he had to modify his prediction.
  10. This is clearly the case, and I for one am actually intrigued to see how Kolb responds after seeing what Manuel and Tuel did in game 1.
  11. My favorite part was on the first drive of the game when they introduced the starting lineups, they only introduced the Colts offense. No lie. I had to look up the Bills roster online and check the numbers to see who was playing for Buffalo. I think that after a few plays they may have introduced the Bills, but it wasn't until well into the Colt's opening drive.
  12. Thanks and nice work. Given how shaky the Bills OL has been I wonder what the Bills run defense is really like. I'll be interested to see how they do vs the Vikings who will be a good test. Also, why do you think that Branch isn't getting first team reps?
  13. I agree with this. Marrone has not committed to keeping 3 QBs, but Tuel is playing so well that they may have to. And there's no way that they go into the season with 2 rookie QBs as the only options.
  14. Maybe Easley moves up to second team but honestly I didn't really see much with the offense that warranted changes in the depth chart.
  15. Butler gets reps in lieu of Brooks Blatnick gets some second team reps.
  16. Not impressed with the DL today. Colts got pretty good push in the running game and on interior penetration on passing downs. I'm no rocket scientist but I guarantee that teams are going to run it at the Bills this season: 1) The Bills stunk vs the run last season 2) Pettine's Jets stunk vs the run last season 3) The Bills don't have a true run stuffing interior lineman. Dareus, the closest thing, is still trying to play up to his rookie season. 4) The linebackers, led by Alonzo, are pretty small. Dareus must play big this season otherwise this is going to be a problem.
  17. Glenn to LG would make a lot of sense. He has been struggling at LT during camp, the LGs are stinking and Glenn was projected as a LG coming out of college. The only problem is that the LT prospects behind Glenn are terrible.
  18. It's too bad. I still believe that he could've been a big time player under different circumstances.
  19. Tips on "To Go" orders, tips for people who make sandwiches at the deli, tips at coffee houses (where the coffee is 20x the cost of a cup you brew yourself). What's going on here? I think that we should all put out "TIPS" jars in our workplace to try and make a little extra money. It seems that everyone deserves a tip.
  20. Better trade him now so that the Bills at least get a 5th or 6th round draft pick for him.
  21. That is an outrage! Go be a fan of someone else if you aren't a koolaid drinker! You must lead a miserable life! etc.
  22. There is only one champion every season. Everyone else has failed. That's the bottom line in the NFL. Anyone who is ok just winning and making the playoffs once in a while is basically a loser. The reason I think it stinks that the Bills haven't even made the playoffs in forever is that they are SO far away from being a champion that it's almost unimaginable at this point.
  23. I don't know where this notion of Jackson as a power runner came from. Jackson's best asset, IMO, is his vision and his ability to find running space. I think it's actually more valuable that power. Don't get me wrong, FJ is still a very good RB but I still think that he's probably on his way out.
  24. That formation sounds like one where they Bills can't run the ball and can't pick up a blitz. Given his age, recent injuries and limited role behind CJ, Jackson will likely be gone soon. He's done well here but I don't really see much of a role for him unless Spiller get's hurt frankly.
