  1. You might just have to overpay for him if you think he’s the missing piece. The Chiefs thought Sammy Watkins was the missing piece, and it turns out, they were right.
  2. Unless of course you have a one year window where you can afford it and that one player just might be the thing that brings the Lombardi to Niagara Square.
  3. McDermott loves to rotate and limited snaps may be exactly what Clowney needs to be his best.
  4. Let Webb and Barkley light it up in preseason and trade them for a 6th and a 6th just before the season starts. The Beane way.
  5. Barkley’s start was so bad last year there is a chance he will be always be available even if he’s not on the 53.
  6. To be fair, Marrone and Hackett got an awful lot out of a disinterested Orton pulling I’m off the couch a week before week 1, and Whaley gave them almost nothing to work with at QB.
  7. There is a difference between flash speed which may last 1-5 years and true power. The true power kickers - those that have done in over the long term - are all tall. Can you find a kicker 5’10 or smaller who routinely kicks it out of the endzone and makes 50 yarders?
  8. Cosell’s pregame pump-up was legendary. It has never been approached.
  9. I could not take Van Miller. When things were going bad he wore his heart on his sleeve and brought me down even more. I don’t need to be made to feel worse about already soul-crushing losses. I need to be reminded it’s just a game in those situations.
  10. Seems way too short at 5’10 to be a power kicker. Not sure that flash speed will last. The true power kickers are all tall. Hauscka 6’4”, Jako 6’2”, Tucker 6’1”, Hopkins 6’2”, Folk 6’1. Our Bass is about the size of the guy that bobbled it to Mike Bass.
  11. Bruce credits Ben Williams for his development at 10:02 in the NFLN 100 greatest special. Doesn’t get much better than the GOAT crediting you. RIP.
  12. Watch Beane dump him for a third
  13. I always thought they should have brought him back week 17 one of the lean years to get the 5 yards.
  14. Whole super bowl run started right there.
  15. Post dated 3/12/25: Now that we’ve taken home our second Lombardi the Bills have a new Mt. Rushmore. Josh Allen Tre’Davious White Brandon Beane Sean McDermott
  16. I doubt he’ll make the team but no harm bringing I him to improve the training camp locker room.
  17. First time we are legitimate contenders since ‘99. Exact same preseason odds, 20-1.
  18. Watching Tony Gonzalez interview on NFLN. Apparently he lead the league in drops his second year! I find that shocking because I can’t recall the GOAT not catching anything remotely catchable. Gives me great hope for Knox.
  19. Good news he’s a film rat. Always worried about rookie backs in pass pro.
  20. You can’t just aggregate Diggs’ stats into Brown and Beasley’s. Diggs will be taking catches away from those guys.
  21. I always thought Dalton was just missing an elite front office.
  22. We have 3 guys that can get wide open all on their own and a rocket armed QB who can get the ball there before the coverage arrives. It’s going to be lethal.
  23. My sense is that they did not want to put a damper on the draft, the only thing sports fans have had to look forward to.
  24. People forget they were 16-0 the year before the “Bellicheck is a genius” year with Matt Cassel.
  25. I'm just going to leave this here. https://www.ourlads.com/story/default/Quarterback-Ball-Velocity-at-NFL-Combine-2008-2017/10243/dh/ Ball speed at the Combine. Mahomes 55 mph Deshaun Watson 45 mph Nathan Peterman 49 mph Yup. And you knew Peterman wasn't a threat to challenge deep. In the Houston game after Allen got hurt, the defensive backs were telling their safeties to hang back just in case while the DBs jumped the short routes. Pick 6. Josh Allen the official combine GOAT at 62 mph!
