    I agree that the jury is still out on Daboll, though it’s fair to say that when Kelvin Benjamin and Zay Jones are your 1 and 2, you have been given little to work with. I actually think Allen has carried Daboll to this point.

    I may be the only one but I enjoy preseason football, particularly the aspect of no names doing whatever they can to make a roster. It was a great warmup to real football. I also liked the Pro Bowl a week after the Super Bowl as a weaning mechanism.

    I agree that Diggs Brown are an attempted emulation of Hill Watkins. Pair of short-statured deep threat wideouts who can easily beat single coverage working with rocket arm QB.

    I think the NBA got it right. Get some kind of virtual fans there but don’t pretend you are something you are not. Fanless NHL puts me to sleep instantly.

    It’s irritating because having some crowd clearly will make some difference.

    The Colts have 54 man roster with Chad. They clearly like him as an insurance policy but he’s so toxic there is no incentive to use up the roster spot.

    Roberts will be the first guy signed by another team imo. Still a top 10 returner and you never have to worry about fumbles or KR stupidity. Too valuable. I guess it’s back to heart palpitations every return.

    He had a rocket arm and before injuries in college he had great running ability. What could have been. Most QBs had bad stats in the days before they put dresses on receivers.

    Going 110 seasons (throwing in the Braves) without a title you take it anyway you can get it. Even if it takes a miraculous string of absurd bounces, embarrassing blown pass interferences calls, and phantom holds, sign me up, no questions asked.

    Zay Jones would look dynamic lining up on the other side of Julio. At least Belichick owns up to it when he makes a mistake.

    It was probably a mistake to invest a mid round pick in a kicker and backup QB in the same year. Two extra roster spots just to preserve your draft investments.

    I would have preferred reverting to Ralph Wilson Stadium for times there is no official sponsor. He did bring the team here and created a prominent poison pill to keep it here. Then left a nice pile of cash for the community.

    It’s going to be hard to keep 3QBs and 2 kickers. But we have high drafted rookies in both positions. Not sure they thought that one through.

    It’s amazing that a 1975 game on artificial turf looks almost exactly the same as the 2019 game on TV, after having changed radially from the 50’s. Only difference after ‘75 is shoulder pads got giant in the 90s and then became small again.

    If COVID has a long term effect of reducing your long capacity 10% that’s not enough to make a difference in the lives of most of us. But if you are an elite pro athlete it could certainly end your career earlier than it should have.

    It was at the Falcons his first season when I knew. He defeated a super bowl roster on the road with a bunch of castoffs.

    Duke needed to be special in the playoffs and he looked, well, like a fourth receiver. That was his chance.
