  1. Past hour
  2. Bills receivers last year saw 545 targets total. Assuming that the Bills throw the ball as much as they did in 2023 (they may not, however): WIDE RECEIVERS (329 targets last year): Shakir got only 45 targets last year. I think that doubles this year to 90. Assuming Coleman gets integrated into the offense quickly, he may start slowly but by the end of the season gets 85. Samuel gets 75. Last year Sherfield got 22 targets. This year Shorter plays and gets 20. Hollins gets 20 Hamler or Claypool 10 TIGHT ENDS (82 total last year): Kincaid got 91 targets in 2023. I think he gets at least that many. Say 100. Knox sees more action and gets 50 targets. RUNNING BACKS (63 total last year): Cook had 54 targets in 2023. He gets 60 targets in '24. Murray got 22 in 2023. His replacement Davis gets 20 in '24. Johnson gets 10. That totals 540 targets. Of course this is may all be moonshine. I'm assuming tight ends and running backs are used more as pass receivers than they were in the first half of 2023. I may be very wrong about Knox getting targeted more; if so his increased targets will be scattered among the others.
  3. And shots at the end zone every third play.
  4. Still not buying season tickets -nice try though
  5. Our starters will be Coleman, Shakir and Samuel, With Kincaid as TE 1 and Cook. But don't expect traditional X,Y,Slot roles. They will all be rotated if Brady is implementing the offense he ran at LSU.
  6. If the Bills were to use Coleman as a big slot like KC did with Rashee Rice then I could see that. But that doesn't appear to be their plan. Beane said Coleman will be used outside (X) which is the much more difficult path. You mentioned Cobb......the Packers weren't going to give Adams those easy-button routes because those belonged to Cobb. So they had to patiently wait for Adams to round into form as a technician outside. What I do expect......if the Bills WR corps remains as currently constituted........is more condensed formations to help Coleman get open easier.
  7. He is a guy year 2-3 could really break out. And he can still be an impact now like you said.
  8. They have already aluded to him needing to be able to play some guard on one of the videos post draft. @Shaw66. Has a point Morse was brought in as a pure canter. Other than Kent Hull ( God rest his great soul) I dont remember another pure center besides those two.
  9. I made the list this time! Yes!!! I’m improving!
  10. Everybody's talkin' at me I don't hear a word they're sayin' Only the echoes of my mind People stoppin', starin' I can't see their faces Only the shadows of their eyes I'm goin' where the sun keeps shinin' Through the pourin' rain Goin' where the weather suits my clothes Bankin' off of the northeast winds Sailin' on summer breeze And skippin' over the ocean like a stone
  11. Billy Ray was the preacher's son And when his daddy would visit he'd come along When they gathered 'round and started talkin' That's when Billy would take me walkin' Out through the back yard we'd go walkin' Then he'd look into my eyes Lord knows, to my surprise The only one who could ever reach me Was the son of a preacher man The only boy who could ever teach me Was the son of a preacher man Yes, he was, he was, ooh, yes, he was
  12. He can't. By noiw he is probably waving his pom poms, wearing an unusual outfit. What would the equation be on McDermott's trade of the #10 pick (Mahomes) to KC?
  13. For sure!!! I'm part of the "Old" Guard on TBD 😂 I met him at one of Bruce's charity golf tourneys in Virginia Beach along with Bruce, Thurman (who bought me a beer while schmoozing with the Hawaiian Tropic girls!), Junior Seau and Richard Roundtree. I doubt there has ever been more pure masculine cool energy at one club bar than that day... it was amazing. Sad though that 2 have already passed...
  14. And possible roles for Solomon and Hardy. It really was an interesting draft.
  15. I disagree. They promised McGovern he will start at center and will give him every chance to start. They are big on honoring your commitments and such.
  16. In my Time as a fan , i do not recall Bills ever ever playing a pure center. Much less drafting one to challenge day one. Gotta cheer for this kid 💪
  17. Today
  18. Does McGovern go back to L Guard , where he did a fine job I thought. Improved the whole line , especially his side. Did not like when Bills announced his move to center. But accepted it with moving on from Morse
  19. Um, what flexibility crap? Morse was a center, period.
  20. You know, I've been looking at this thread title for a while now, and I thought it would be something to good to talk about. So, I finally looked at the thread a couple of minutes ago, read several posts. Here's what I've concluded: I have no friggin clue what to expect from Shakir, and from the looks of the posts here, no one else does, either. The one thing that several people have said and that I think is the best guess is that the Bills are going to spread the ball around a lot. Someone will lead the team in targets, and someone will lead in receptions, but who that will be won't be known until pretty far into the season. The Bills don't have a classic #1 guy any longer, but they have a lot of interesting talent to throw onto the field. Any one of Kincaid, Shakir, Samuel, or Coleman could end the season has the leading receiver. For the passing game to succeed, someone has to go over 1000 yards. Not likely that two will. A successful season for the passing game might feature guys with the following total yards: 1400, 900, 800, 800. Cook, Davis, Knox, etc. might total 600-800 together. That's 4500 yards. Completely doable, even though we don't know which guy will be at 1400. It's up to Brady to design the passing offense and for Allen to execute it. If they both do their jobs, the passing game will be fine because, even without a classic #1 guy, the receiving talent is pretty good, maybe very good.
  21. It will be a competition. I would even bet that Connor will be rooting for the kid to do well so he can go back to LG. I have to imagine Connor is a bit nervous about having to move to a position he has limited exposure to. It could affect his next contract (which ends next year) if he underperforms.
  22. The bolded is my belief as well... it will be an open competition. No one is gonna be handed anything on a plate.
  23. It’s hard to compare a team from nearly a decade ago to a team that hasn’t had a single mini camp yet…
