Turn Down The Temperature: Unity? NOT HAPPENING

The Constitution allows for anyone to say anything, unless the words have the potential to incite violence or if the speech includes threatening language. In your opinion is it possible for some hate speeches to incite violence? -

Game week thread - Dolphins at Bills TNF

He seems to be a check collector at this point.....I think he gave up the day after he signed his big contract. -
It's because where you land extremely matters To think it doesn't is fool's gold... These are 21 to 23-year-old kids... And 97% of them need to grow and learn There's a reason why the bears haven't successfully developed a quarterback in 60 years lol never had a 4,000 yard thrower It is the organization Same with darnold... Nobody question his talent or even his work ethic.. the Jets organization spits out quarterbacks for 50 years

Any thoughts on Dorian Williams about to be starting again?
ALLinALLEN replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
WGR homepage has a quote from McD saying Milano "could return this week". I'm now hopeful this injury is way overblown and he will certainly be good by January (which is all we really need). -

I think he's has the best physical tangibles out of our linebackers He has our best blend of size speed and hit power... I think you could absolutely be starting on some other teams around the league but we don't trot out a lot of linebackers When he's not thinking and just playing he can be good -
Well I got the ban Hammer a week ago but I was correct This is radical liberal violence They went from cheering it for days.. to gaslighting the right into thinking it was their own person for damage control.. to conspiracies that it's a different shooter It's classic deflection because their party is falling apart.. no 26 midterms.. 2028 election you have no chance... The Democrat party needs to rebrand because it is done

What makes you say the bolded? Seems to me that when McD simplifies the LB/2nd level assignments, it results in predictable zone windows and/or separation vs man. McD (and everyone else, probably) needs LBs who attack the run with the vision and decisiveness of an RB but also drop deep enough against the pass and read the routes and the QB's eyes like safeties. Substandard Bills LBs have been abused, no? The concern about Williams vs eye candy, motion, cutbacks, and screens is at least reasonable. But you also have to admit the guy is a candidate to dislodge a ball or otherwise physically punish some Dolphins Thursday. -

This game broke the Dolphins, I think. They gave it their best shot, with their best execution and game plan, and still couldn't get it done. No coming back from that. Edit: Misread, I didn't see the "playoff game" portion of your post. I'm referring to the game where Bass hit the 61 yarder to seal it. That was the finishing blow. Couldn't seriously entertain the possibility of ever knocking us off the top spot with the current regime after that.

I think Mayfield is actually the perfect example of what I mean. He was not a bad QB in Cleveland, they just decided to move on because they have the worst owner in the NFL. And I think Mayfield himself would admit he wasn't really giving it his all early in his career. Not that he was especially lazy like say Jamarcus Russell was, but you didn't hear the stories of almost psychotic commitment to getting better like you heard with Allen or Mahomes or Brady. Did spending a year on the Panthers scout team turn his career around? Did Matt Rhule change the way he approached the position? Of course not. What happened is he put his head down and re-dedicated himself to his craft, then when opportunity knocked on a potential game winning drive for the Rams he was ready and seized his moment. Next thing you know Liam Cohen is getting the credit for "fixing" Baker Mayfield and gets a head coaching opportunity because they think he can "fix" Trevor Lawrence. Well, early returns on that aren't looking so great. The QB is going to have to fix himself. Nobody can do it for him. This conversation reminded me of a hilarious post I saw earlier:

Orioles "officially" eliminated from the playoffs. In reality the season was over in May. What a crap season of injuries and under achievement. Wait till next year! -

I think all players should wear visors, especially after a player had permanent eye damage from a stray yellow flag thrown from an official. Protect your face!

Incredibly contrary to Allen's growing tendency (on repeated display so far this season) of stepping up when there's an early lane (especially through the left side A or B gap) to buy time and to put 2nd and 3rd level defenders in conflict. He did it a TON vs Baltimore to my eye. He's just ELITE at avoiding pocket pressure (while still looking to throw) in ways I don't think we always appreciate fully. The OL is pretty good, but not nearly as good at pass pro as 17 makes them seem. Or if there's obvious pre-snap pressure coming, he'll do the opposite thing and adjust protections and routes to leave one blitzer/side unblocked and try to stand in there long enough to hit someone behind that vacated area. Burrow probably does that 2nd thing (standing in and delivering over/through diagnosed pressures, as you detailed) as well or better than Allen, but just isn't as big and durable (historically) as #17, so he pays the price in more impactful ways. I've seen him move dynamically UP into/past the pocket in some games, but it's not really his nature. He's got underrated feet that he should use a little more often against 3 and 4 man pass rushes.
