  1. Past hour
  2. The only time this game was even questionably in doubt was the Dolphins final drive and our defense made a great play to seal the game. I don't know what some of you guys want. A 10 point win against a divisional foe (on a short week) to move to 3-0 is pretty good for me. Not all game are going to be like the Jets game last week. The goal is to win. It doesn't matter how it looks - win. If I'm going to pick anything to start with to improve upon was our kick coverage unit - which has been REALLY GOOD for two weeks. But last night they gave the Dolphins great field position multiple times. Also, I thought the Dolphins were well coached on offense last night. Caught us in Man a lot in 3rd and 4th down situations. BUT what I don't know is what our tendencies going into the game were and if we used this game as a tendency breaker or what the full scheme of the week was. Its a win. Find the mistakes. Fix them. Move on. Focus on the Saints.
  3. Oh I forgot to add - McD not challenging that obvious 3rd down bobble from Hill is coaching malpractice. Didn’t we hire a replay coach last year? Fire that guy. If he had challenged that 3rd down, Miami probably punts and that changes the entire demeanor of the game.
  4. I'm a little concerned by the lack of pressure on Tua. Dude's a statue and we barely got near him all game. I guess as we get guys back it'll get better, good that we're going into the easier part of the schedule. Those long drives where the D can't get off the field are exhausting to watch
  5. 3rd down defense was a legit problem. As someone pointed out above, Tua did some uncharacteristic things on a few of those 3rd downs where he got out of the pocket/scrambled and extended the play and that led a few first downs out of those 3rds. Yes our third down D needs to be better, and pass rush needs to get home. BUT my point does remain, Tua was held to under 150 yards and half of his 22 completions were at or behind the LOS. That will make the pass rush less effective.
  6. I feel sorry for all the fans in here who are having a miserable Friday because the defense didn't play better last night. LOL. It was a Thursday night game on a short week of practice. These games are ALWAYS sloppy and never a true reflection of either team. Both teams know each other very well also. A win is a win and the team is 3-0 and hasn't even scratched the surface of their potential...yet somehow still scoring 30pts a game. That has me super excited. That and the fact that we will soon have reinforcements for the defense including the guys who are injured right now. Let's go Buffalo!!!! TGIF!!
  7. Damn....I had 30-20 and not even an honorable mention. I feel so unworthy...😁
  8. I get that he has a job and he does it well. But $20M should be reserved for guys with pass rush upside. Hard to justify paying him that kind of money.
  9. The Cover 1 guys will tell us how great he is and we just don’t know how to watch film to see just how effective he really is. Like they did when they ball washed Edmunds for years. I’m not anti-Groot, but for a guy who’s best move is to set the edge he really blew it in the AFC Championship when he drove inside several times and Mahomes made him pay with a TD and number of first downs.
  10. Agreed. 3rd week of a 17 game season with only 4 days rest. Just get the win. I think we’d all like to see glimpses of what things are gonna look like in January though. We saw what the passing game can look like in 4th quarter against Ravens. The defense showed better against the Jets. Walker was the big bright spot last night. We really need Hairston to contribute by end of season as Tre isn’t a starting CB anymore. And we need Rousseau to find his game if we’re gonna beat good teams in January. Looks like we have 4 playable LB’s when Milano comes back. Safety continues to look like we aren’t gonna get many/any winning plays from.
  11. This exactly.
  12. I hear ya.
  13. My enduring vision of #50 is from the divisional round with Travis Kelce effortlessly driving him downfield as if he was wearing roller skates. Were we planning on having a formal ceremony?
  14. Fair enough, but there is going to be a playoff game where they'll to need to score like 35 points or more to win, and they are going to have to throw downfield to do so. I hope they'll be able to hit that 2nd gear after a season of ball-control offense.
  15. Well you commented on a side discussion about Rousseau… my 3 games comment wasn’t about the defense as a whole.
  16. He's currently on his Ed Oliver arc.
  17. NO ! He is a rookie, you don't have that discussion till year 3 or his 4 year contract and only if he continues to play at a higher level. Got to see if he can play consistently and stay healthy.
  18. It’s nothing new …we have seen for years that it works against impatient bottom feeders with shaky QBs…. The problem for me is that they continue with the strategy against the elites in January…
  19. Good, you understand the point. It is 3 games.
  20. I am not sure if anyone else felt this way but I could kind of feel the INT coming. He doesnt look off his wideouts. If you go back and watch the play his head never moves off that read, not even for a second.
  21. Democrats begin lecturing everyone on the dangers of censorship. That's funny. How about creating a sitcom series to fill that empty time slot starring that Ministry of Truth lady Nina Jankowicz? We already have the show's theme song.
  22. This is the list for me. Well with Allen of course. Shaq really added some physicality I liked.
  23. I think most of the frustration comes from the constant struggles to get a stop on 3rd Down. The Bills defense had an OK game on paper. But there were a half-dozen times when they had a chance to put the nail in the coffin, but just couldn't make a play to kill the drive. I'm not someone who studies the All-22 Coaches Film or advanced metrics websites. I rely on my own eyes and experience of watching the NFL for 35+ years. My personal unscientific definition of "pressure" is by counting 1-2, and whether or not the D-Line is able to either reach the QB or force him off his spot. Even though Tua was getting the ball out quick most of the game, there were plenty of 3rd Downs where he was able to hold the ball longer than 2 seconds. That's not good enough from the pass rush. The Bills seem to get nice individual performances here and there, but not consistently strong play from the unit as a whole. Joey Bosa has looked really good so far. But Groot, AJ Epenesa and the other edge rushers have been totally invisible. Ed Oliver was amazing Week 1. But he's been hurt the last two games, and we haven't gotten much from anyone else.
  24. They just beat the ravens..? also they beat Denver and Baltimore in the playoffs last year. Are you aware of the level of defense Baltimore and Denver played last year? this boogie man that this fanbase is obsessed with that can only be solved by wide receivers is exhausting. stop playing fantasy football.
  25. Well. It’s hawes. And while that’s nice and I really like him. It’s yet another referendum on mcbeane drafting. Once again in our Super Bowl window. When we universally think the defense is the problem in big games - we load up on D 1) Hairston- hurt. Of course. Jury out 2) tj sanders. VERY underwhelmed. Does he even have a tackle for loss? Or A tackle? He’s flirting with being inactive I bet once suspension guys come back 3) Landon Jackson. Very alarming he can’t even dress. He looked like a practice squad or fringe roster player to me during preseason against 3s 4) Walker. Hit so far 5) hawes. Really big hit Hancock hurt and isn’t dressing yet (I really need to see him displace Rapp at the end of the year. I’m praying) strong - I’ll say a hit - held his own as a backup filling in for injured starter don’t care about the rest. If our 2nd and 3rd round picks (didn’t we move up for the 2? ) can’t even dress! That’s a problem
