There is nothing different to do except punt on first, second or third down.

And it will likely continue. If for any reason Joe Brady is out as OC after this year, the Bills will conduct a farce interview process to comply with Rooney Rules and hire from within. My guess is it would be Ronald Curry. But that's just a guess on my part. If they move on from Babich, I see McDermott taking over permanently again. I don't think there's a guy on staff that would be seriously considered.
-
My solution would be to transition Kincaid to WR during the off-season. Put on some muscle mass and drop his weight about 10 pounds. Creates some match up advantages against most corners. There's your 50/50 ball guy. Not blazing fast but neither are productive receivers like Puka Nucua. That puts Knox on the field for more plays and makes Coleman expendable if he doesn't produce. Then go get a genuine #1 WR.

Ken Dorsey was a proven legit QB coach who worked with Allen for a few seasons. How was he the wrong hire? I get it didn't work out, but in no way was there obvious warning signs. Joe Brady was a bit different. BIG TIME college experience, some OC experience. Again, what huge signs were there that Brady would be a bad hire? The fact he'd been fired before? That will eliminate a large amount of prospects from the pool. Bobby Babs - The saying around here was "everything he touches turns to gold." Remember? Everyone loved that hire after he had a multiple, legitimate outstanding seasons as a positional coach. Learn the ropes under McD, who is a great defensive coach. Ya'll are acting like these are 3rd rate hires from the Cleveland Browns. I would love for anyone, someone, to find a quote from McD where he says he wants to be a run first, conservative passing game. Especially considering 2 of his last 3 OCs were highly aggressive in the passing game.

This is how you build from within..

No, it's a Brady / McDermott rule. N - S, E - W, they can grasp. Send a reciever over a Northwest route, and they're stymied. 🤔 -
Did everyone feel the same after realistically on the field dominating the Chiefs and Panthers? It's one game guys. You aren't going to fire a coach and GM halfway into a 6-3 season.

This regime is bad at picking offensive coordinators
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Brady has nothing to work with. Only the leader in total TDs for the past 9 seasons and a top 3 runner 🤣 I get we aren’t on the level of the greatest show of turf, but this is BS. -

Ha, if they wait too much longer Allen will be on the wrong side of 30 and won't be running as much. McDermott may yet get his wish. -

if browns move on from hc stefanski...he is what we need. -
Yes, this is all part of the brilliant plan detailed in another thread to secretly create an elite offense. 🫤

I'm pretty sure we had league record LOW injuries McD's first few years. I seem to remember thinking in 2020 and 2021 how lucky we were to be one of the most healthy teams through the season and going into the playoffs. But that was before we loaded the team with smaller draft picks too. As for technique, it's a bit of both, but I blame more of it on the coaching because all these players managed to be so good in High School that they made College programs, and so good in college that they got drafted into the NFL, so I cant believe that they never knew how to tackle previously, or somehow forgot. I think something is wrong with the scheme and messaging that has guys out of place and taking bad angles and using bad technique.

Sad thing is ,I doubt any changes will be made. I would be shocked.

I dont support taking the C off of him, but I would like him to be a little more vocal. I am glad he inspires people with his play on the field but this team is sorely missing a Kyle Williams type who can rally the troops a bit. "Love Ya'll Boys- Win on 3- 1-2-3 Win" isnt really cutting it anymore. -
Josh has a $209 dead cap hit, Bills would not be able to put a team on the field.
-
Beane isn’t risking it in a division game where the Bills could’ve potentially took the lead. My brother thinks the Bills weren’t showing their whole offense because it was the Dolphins. I told him what i told you. This was a very important game and they got beat plain and simple.

Hairston vs Waddle........another fun matchup for the Rookie....
Luka replied to Special K's topic in The Stadium Wall
If he turns his head around that's most likely a PBU. Ridiculous closing speed from the kid. There's never been a corner in the history of football that hasn't given up a big play so if that's the standard you're going to complain no matter what. -

I said it in another post and got fried for it. I see maybe one more year with Josh, he will open the new stadium he helped build then call it a career. You are spot on, that he isn't going to live in Buffalo when its over and he was never going to play into his mid 30's. Fans have this fantasy about that and reality is much harsher -
chess...this is more like it
-
At this point, yes. When he took over the reins from Dorsey he got to call more of what he wanted, and even to begin last year. But much like neutering Josh, McD has managed to neuter Brady too so he fits his conservative, complementary philosophy (aka "dont expose my defense") Bunch of Eunuchs running this show.

Can everyone just take a freakin breath?

It’s not the problem. This team coaching staff and front office as constructed is the problem. God Bills fans and their Denial listen to me carefully. It will be easier to take. IT IS OVER. -
Yep. McDermott was already whining about the injuries before the dolphins game.
-
Not panicking is fine, but it still doesn't fix the gapping hole at WR and an offense which has become predictable. Stop the run, force the Bills to pass and if you can get a turnover Buffalo will struggle to catch up. The entire goal when you have a QB like 17 is to create the largest window possible at all times. The GM decided to not help his offense and they are paying dearly for it. They probably make the playoffs and lose 24-17 or something because the offense can only do some things. The defense I legit feel bad for at this point, the amount of injuries is astounding and areas you'd want to be positive about you can't because the starters are gone.
