  1. Past hour
  2. More police sweeps good. National Guard bad. You’re on fire again today. You won’t be able to top yesterday’s “CNN and NYT are lapdogs for Trump” but this is impressive nonetheless.
  3. Hopefully good news is coming.
  4. Have you or anyone ever sat in corner seats? My new seats are in the corner, just wondering how good the view generally is, particularly when the game is at the far end of the stadium.
  5. I mean, it didn't really take that long. I saw posters saying that our Defense was going be awful this year, because the Defense was not better than Offense at the first training camp practice. This guy was down right patient with his analysis.
  6. Looks like he's back practicing today
  7. I'd be interested in how anyone could design a social policy to prevent homelessness. Because there are lots of causes, some chronic and some circumstantial. A person could be homeless because of a divorce, domestic abuse, death of a spouse, bankruptcy, loss of a job, chronic drug or alcohol addiction. Or they could simply have made the decision to "drop out" of society and deal with the consequences of the decision. I'm not a fan of the idea that pushing people out of the neighborhood solves the problem because they still have to go somewhere else. And I don't think a more "robust welfare net" is the answer. Its a do more of what's not working until it works type of solution. I'm not against the idea of helping people but from my experience of helping people it can go one of two ways. They're motivated to get back on their feet and use the support and financial assistance provided as a catalyst for them getting their life on track. Or, they become comfortable with the financial and other types of assistance and chose to spend their time doing nothing much to improve their situation. Because taking the assistance is easier than working. I think any assistance programs should be designed by social services experts, exclusive of any political motivation of any kind, to deal with both situations.
  8. DC has always been unsafe. We were planning to go DC foer a vacation i the summer of 1968 but MLK was shot and the riots occurred in many cities. So my parents switched plans and we spent a week traveling around the perimeter of NYS. We avoided NYC for the same reasons as DC. Got to visit NYC in 1991 and DC in 86 and 88.
  9. Police are not the same thing as the federal troops controlled by Trump. Hope that helps!
  10. Cool, I've been watching football for 35+ years, doesn't mean I have any illusions I have any idea on the nuance on what I'm watching. Even pro film people have to take guesses and make assumptions because they don't know what a specific play call is and what the responsibility of a specific player is on any given play...only way to know that is by being on the team basically. Also, if you've been watching the NFL for that long, you should know that the preseason is completely worthless in terms of telling you anything, and week one is horrible in terms of telling you anything as well, but the preseason is totally worthless...not having that lesson learned...I actually think you likely very much do know that, you've just got some very strong biases at the moment and are looking for anything to support those biases, even if it's awful and worthless data/observations. It's a human nature thing, not a you personally thing...just be aware that maybe, just maybe it's possible that that is happening and it's altering your world view on this topic...it just seems like a visceral reaction that is almost hiding from feeling feelings instead of being driven by a feeling...
  11. I've heard the same thing from a well respected surgeon. He basically says that the human spine has a great ability to adapt. For example, disc herniations with nerve impingement, hurt like he'll, and are often times disabling when they first surface. With time, symptoms become A-symptomatic (pain free). He stressed exercise, to promote circulation. Circulation is the key, to help aid the injured areas. Once you go under the knife, you'll be back for follow up surgeries after so many years. It becomes a cycle.
  12. when was the last time you visited DC? I thought you maga's were concerned with "freedom".
  13. ⬆️ This one regarding Newsome is especially fantastic. An absolute classic in light of your present concerns. It’s a little late to address the current homeless situation with a more robust welfare net, don’t you think?
  14. daughter worked there for several summers. Even after she went away to college they'd give her shifts whenever she came back to town if she wanted them.
  15. maybe 1 or 2. the others wouldn't be worth paying.
  16. Fields TD play was actually a big reason why I think he will just never get how to play QB in the NFL. He stepped up, looked downfield and his RB was beating his man by a few steps and Fields decided to take the harder route and run. Yeah he scored, but he didnt take the easy 6/completion, exposed his body to an additional hit. Opened up the possibility of a fumble etc. Fields has always had the ability, but his inability to see the field is why he is on his 3rd team in 3 years
  17. You seem like the kind of guy to prefer an iron lung over a shot
  18. He's still under Investigation for that "incident". He may not respond truthfully
  19. Pecan pie looks gross to me. I don't really like apples. I will eat a green apple because it's sour but that's it. I have held in my held about $10,000 of cocaine once in a Vegas hotel room. I never even opened the bag and gave it to another friend so he could cut the lines.
  20. I want them to release the files. Doesn't make sense that the only person in jail for the Epstein matter is a woman.
  21. This is absolutely insane.................everybody should try cocaine at least once in their life
  22. It was fear and paranoia that drive: lockdowns, masks, untested gene therapies masquerading as "vaccines." So your theory about yourself is correct.
  23. Yup, I cannot wait for this to happen! 12, 13, 15 million for three years, and with some generous incentives and a lot of it guaranteed-? In the NFL.com article McDermott said that things have changed. Now may be wishful thinking on my part, to believe he means a new contract is coming soon, but I don't think so: "I would say so that things have changed," McDermott added. "And yes, we have had conversations with James. Good conversations, as I've mentioned before." Either way, great to see our most dynamic offensive weapon practicing today, less than a month before the regular season. But, new contract today, please!
  24. With your business acumen you could be advising the real movers and shakers in the economy. Yet you sit on a Buffalo Bills subforum trying to persuade Bills fans of something. Interesting.
