TBH, I just don't really understand why Purdy doesn't get more credit and respect as a QB right now. I have watched every game Brock has played given my wife is a die hard Niners fan. The only exceptions were the few times Niners and Bills were on at the same time where both games were on, but I was only really paying attention to the Bills lol. What I will say is that Brock Purdy has been better than people give him credit for. I am not saying what he will or wont be moving forward, but the touch and precision he has had since he got the job has been impressive. The Niners offense was night and day different the second he took over for Jimmy G. Brock, and the Niners, have been hit hard by injuries every season in the Purdy era. He has still played at a very high level even through the difficulties of constant injuries to all the teams best players on both sides of the ball. I don't know if Purdy has the staying power or not, I am only talking about how he has been thus far. And IMHO, he has been better than he often gets credit for and he throws a pretty ball.

How very true. I'd bet there is a correlation between someone's tenure as a fan and their appreciation for the team today. Plot: X axis=fan tenure in years, Y axis=how much they appreciate the team as it is today. Thesis: the "Super Bowl or Bust" types, or the "Fire McDermott" types are younger fans who know only the good years and don't appreciate the entertainment provided by the current team. the more patient and appreciative fans are older ones who lived through 4 Super Bowls, and/or the drought.

Whatever she's giving him, it's working. I think it would work for me too. -
It's wild how the sentiment has evolved this whole week. I think most analysts are still picking us, but there has been a huge amount of momentum of "maybe this Bills team isn't as good as their record" along with "maybe this Pats team is the real deal." Enough of this. If a dude doesn't step an inch out of bounds, the Pats have losses to Pitt, the Raiders & Miami, and they used special teams to get a big win over what could end up being the league's worst team, at home. The only way they win this game is turnovers. If we protect the ball, this is going to be a statement game that we still run the east, and it's not that close.

Scoring D the Bills have faced the 32nd, 30th, 28th, 26th D the Steelers are 19th in scoring D which is the only stat IMO that matters lol (Pats are 9th and the Bills 16th fyi a hole 9 points difference lol)

what do you think?

I agree Kurt's overly critical. And, yet, I think it would be great if Kurt and Josh watched tape together in the offseason. Perfection can never be achieved but it ought to be pursued. -
I'm a firm believer that scheme has a big part to do with success. I think Shanahan has a system that is somewhat plug and play. Look what he's done with Matt Ryan, Purdy, Mac Jones and Darnold to an extent. Doesn't mean it'll win you 10 or 11 games every year (ie 9ers last season), but I think it's a big part.

Sigh you’re right only the Ravens, Saints, Jets are worse the dolphins are two spots higher than them. Hell I will do one better the Steelers have more wins than EVERY team the Bills face have combined! Both the Pats and Bills schedule is scary easy.. and I will say again the Steelers D is better than the 4 you have faced..

Rather pay a run stuffing 1T with a bit of pass rushing upside than pay for a starting 3T. Substantial price difference between the two. -

I pay some attention to the Pats. Maye's nickname should be "clean pocket." When he has time, he looks elite; any pressure, and he seems to panic a bit, and that's when he makes the mistakes. I guess not THAT unusual for a young QB, but it seems like a bigger gap w/ him. 2 very different QB's depending on if defenses can rattle him. -

You guys think President BoneSpur will pardon Diddy?

I kind of prefer Strong over Tre - but I believe Tre has been getting most of the snaps regardless. Strong isn't a huge loss this week. If Oliver, Milano and Brown all end up playing, we're in as good a shape as you can be at this point of the season.

I love it when fans tell other fans how they're supposed to act in supporting their team. Everyone is wired different and that's a good thing. Last I checked the whole point of playing any sport is to strive to win a championship. To those that just want to be entertained and enjoy a stress free ride thru Bills regular season Wonderland, thats perfectly fine....knock yourselves out. You aren't being judged for that approach. Let some of us critique in our own way. It's part of the whole gambit of the sports fan experience. But lose the whole A- hole, lunatics attitude. It makes you come off as "holier than thou".

You sure about that? The Jets moved the ball pretty easy against them.
