  1. Past hour
  2. Bloomberg, who was a Republican then, but more sensible than political.
  3. “Mom! He started it!!”
  4. No worries. What would be more interesting than the Top 15 players is everyone’s list of the best starting lineup at each position.
  5. It depends who the substitute QB is. If Allen goes down and Mitch Trubisky plays the whole season, it’s a different answer than plugging in a lower level NFL starter, like say Geno Smith or Brock Purdy. With those guys, 11 wins is possible. The Bills’ o-line is top 5, maybe top 2 or 3, in the NFL, and that raises the floor considerably…
  6. yeah what was this? there's no defender on his side of the court while he just dribbles up and dunks. there's a lady MC on the court as everyone just watches him shoot, lol. notice by the way, throwing down those dunks like he never actually had a wrist injury (wink, wink).....
  7. Been there a half dozen times between '07-'19. Would stay a week in Manhattan each time. It was fine, and in Brooklyn where my kid lived, everytime. Would take the subway back and forth, never a problem. Worse thing was rats would run in an out of the walls in the subway station by him at night, they were kind of cute. There was no decline of any kind during the 12 years I went there, had lots of fun, never felt uncomfortable. Covid began the downfall and what happened after I wouldn't put on the Mayor as so many want to.
  8. I see where this is going. I agree. I would trade 4 first rounders for Burrow to fill this glaring hole.
  9. Link? No, I'm saying Beane wanted to keep the contract as is. No redo of anything, much less giving him guaranteed money. There were 2 years left on that contract. Tell me about his years following 2018. He was spent for one reason or another.
  10. He had just wrapped up his 6th straight season of at least 1250 yards---and had 15 receiving TDs his last year in Pitts. Totally spent! You think he couldn't get at least another 1250 with Josh Allen throwing to him (absent Diggs)? That WR was trash--2 big money WRs were Brown and Beasley combining for 1800 yards, lol. By his final year, despite essentially the same number of targets per year, Diggs's production was in free fall. In all, the Bills paid one of the worst playoff WR1s in league history 80 million to pad his stats during the season. 2 years after a huge (2nd highest WR guarantee behind only Hill) 4 year extension, he was widely excised from the the body Buffalo, the cancer that he was...
  11. As far as off season thread topics go, this one is in the top 10%…
  12. Yes, I know OJ would be on the list along with some others but I have never seen them so my opinion on them is kinda worthless.
  13. Early this morning I saw a CNBC interview with an oil sector analyst and he said OPEC has approximately 7 million bbl/day of spare capacity but that 5 million of that flows through the straits. The leaves spare capacity of 2 million outside the conflict zone. If Iranian crude goes offline China could switch to additional Russian or Saudi crude or longer term perhaps Canadian oil sands exports from the West coast. I expect Israel is trying to convince the Trump administration to directly join the conflict and use the Air Force's big bomber capability to drop those 4 ton bunker busters on the underground facilities. I think directly joining the conflict in an offensive capacity would be a mistake. But nothing will be surprising. Entering the conflict would be politically damaging to Trump and only amplify voices claiming US Middle East policy decisions are directed from Israel. I also read the Pentagon is moving a carrier group (I can't recall which one) to the Persian Gulf from its current deployment in the South China Sea. Which I expect leaves Taiwan exposed. Another potential hot spot. The story said the carrier group was scheduled to rotate out of deployment back to home port but was diverted to the combat zone. It also appears the objective is slowly transforming from eliminated Iran's nuclear program to regime change efforts. The track record of success on those types of operations hasn't been very good.
  14. should we bring down the goal posts for the final time? Or would that be going too far you think?
  15. All those MAGAs jumping ship after the No Kings protests though!
  16. I get what you are saying about Hurts and "clutch" stuff...But Mahomes isn't just clutch, hes proved elite QB play and statistical dominance, and more single season dominance than even Allen, Lamar, or Burrow has shown in their best seasons, when he had legit weapons in different seasons. But since Hill was traded, Kelce has slowed down some with age, his WR's have been mostly trash or hurt, and he has had a mediocre run game and meh OL the past 3 years. Still - 3 straight SB's and 2 rings. Burrow has missed the playoffs 2 straight years throwing to Chase and Higgins. Lamar had better weapons and Henry who had one of the best RB seasons ever yet didn't last long enough to even face Mahomes in the AFCCG. It's all subjective, so really no wrong answers here - but IMHO I think you are weighing recent stats a bit too much over talent/ability and not giving the difference in personnel enough consideration into why the stats favor the others more recently.
  17. New Jersey is the next Pennsylvania
  18. If only NFL defenses were like what he was facing on the court. Were they the Washington Generals?
  19. This was a great and memorable game to be at. I still think about it often when telling my boys about the old 90's days.
  20. I think a key difference with the Pats winning 11 with Cassel and anything the Bills might do without Josh is the fundamental difference between the two teams. The Patriots offense under Brady was built on "do your job" precision and timing. Know who the open guy will be, hit him in stride and let him get RAC. Oh and if you shut that down, we'll run over you until you prove you can stop us. The Bills offense most of the time Josh has been here, is far more dependent on Josh creating something when there was nothing there. Even the run game we had last season, IMO is sometimes facilitated because like LJax, the D needs to keep awareness that Josh might run. So it was far more possible to plug a very average QB into the Brady-years Pats system and have him succeed.
  21. I'm not as persuaded. He needs to be better than 2024 for me. Not to prove he can be an NFL starter on a decent defense. But to justify being paid in a non-premium position.
  22. #9 in the AB deal. as I've said (and only as has been reported) multiple times. you are claiming that Beane would have redone the contract...but without a guarantee, or something... The Steelers gave permission for Rosenhaus to talk because of the pick package Beane offered (it was a 1st, even though he didn't call you up to confirm this).
  23. Not to mention, can you imagine Josh with Hill and Waddle?
