Week 15, Bills v. Cheats, PREDICT THE SCORE!
NewEra replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
You’re the only person in the first 3 pages to pick the pats. Interesting, or not so much 🤣 @nedboy7 doesn’t count as he’s only doing it for juju (I think). 29-28 Bills. Cole Bishop with the defensive play of the game. -
This roster is a disaster however…..

That's a driver compared to years outside of 2020 perhaps. IMO, the offenses were so much better on average league wide in 2020 vs anytime in the following five seasons because the stadiums were cleared out due to Covid and the offenses could freely communicate and get in rhythm. Even offensive players playing at home I think can sometimes get overhyped and play out of sync with even just a little bit of fan noise. These games were being played like practices. It's crazy to go back and watch the non broadcast videos of the games from 2020. The networks did a good job of making these games feel like regular games rather than what they really felt like which were scrimmages without fans. A second point on 2020 Josh vs 2020 Allen, and we see this with a lot of players, that initial breakout season is hard to duplicate. Mahomes has never duplicated his 2018 breakout campaign. It took Lamar 5 seasons to match his 2019 breakout season. But even then, one could argue his 2019 season was still his best as he was a force with his legs in 2019 (83QBR) compared to 2024 (75 QBR). And then there are the Carson Wentz, CJ Stroud and Jayden Daniels of the world. Players that in their first or second season were in the MVP discussion and then either flamed out completely or at the least have yet to regain anywhere near that breakout season form. QB's that breakout, tend to take teams and defensive coordinators by surprise. Then those coordinators and teams make small adjustments in how to defend those QB's better. Good news for us with this trend is that Drake Maye is having a fantastic season, odds are it will be several or many years before he puts up a similar season or betters it. -
Whats hilarious to me is that folks down here think they're so country and have pride in their rural roots but WNY is far more country, far more rural, and far more redneck than a lot of the South right now. go 15 minutes North or South on 90 and you'll be in pure country rural life no different or no less than going 15 minutes off of I85 or I77. Dorian Williams is a good downhill runner to stop the run and a stout body. he doesn't always fare well in decision making or scraping through traffic but I would like a solid set of reps in a 43 set with Williams being the 3rd LB over Bernard. Ideally, in passing downs (though it would not be realistic)... Milano at Mike Shaq at Sam Bernard at Will Running downs... Milano at Will Shaq at Sam Williams at Mike

Ketanji Brown Jackson: Embarrassment
All_Pro_Bills replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The SCOTUS did not rule the "President is above the law". They ruled the President is acting within the powers provided to the office by Article II of the US Constitution. And at times simply overruling activist lower court judges lacking the authority for issuing rulings and injunction that "infringe" on the authority of the executive branch. Essentially judges believing they have magical powers to veto the actions of the President. What we have is not one elected would-be executive branch dictator but rather numerous un-elected would-be judicial branch dictators. Ironic many fail to observe this! If anyone is attempting to operate above the law its these activist judges. They're rulings are overridden because they are politically rather than legally motivated. -

They don't like experts, especially ones that don't comport with their preconceived ideas. Your unusual, intimate knowledge is valuable to any rational observer of SCOTUS. Please keep posting but don't expect anything other than bitter complaints and insults from the MAGA peanut gallery. -
With Kincaid, Buffalo is 7-1 this year....
blacklabel replied to Kelly to Allen's topic in The Stadium Wall
Aside from Allen and Cook, I'd say he's probably the only other guy on offense that an opposing defense has to say, "Okay, we gotta key in on this dude." Most LBs can't cover him so that can force teams to put their nickel CB on him a lot and that ideally opens up opportunities for other guys. It's been a trip for the passing game this season but they are much better when Kincaid can go and over the last couple weeks I've been cautiously optimistic that Brady has made some good adjustments there. Getting the RBs involved more is a plus and Knox showed he can still be a weapon for them. Two good TEs that can both get down the field and catch with a solid run game and the occasional play from one of them WR fellas and yeah maybe it'll work. -
Josh Allen AFC Offensive POW Again (Week 14)!

How the heck? -
I'm hoping that McDermott and Babich start Thompson at LB this week. Think we need his size and savvy. I can see Stevenson running over Bernard and Milano on short yardage. I worked in Nashville from '99-02. Was at the Stadium for the Music City Forward Lateral.

Maybe they'll hire Maurice Linguist lol -
I agree, they shouldn't force a pick for a WR if it's not there. However, Is like to see them be aggressive and identify the guy they want...and then go get him. Enough of identifying a "cluster of guys" they like and being content with who is left. Take a swing if you identify a guy that has a good shot at becoming "the guy" at WR. Agreed. If the Bills are going to go far in the playoffs, on offense it should look a lot like it did against the Bengals. Run the ball. Use all 3 TEs. Safe passes to the WRs and backs short, and if they can get a shot down field here and there...take it if open. I know I would like a nice modern pass attack, but with the players we have it's just not possible. I will also say that this team is built to survive bad weather games on offense. We have seen a lot of snow, rain and windy games this era. This offense this year is built to survive that. Now we just need that intimidating defense to match

Look this WR room isn't good. The top 2 spots MUST be upgraded and with 1 of them a guy a DC has to at least respect. I say trade our 2026 1st for a WR. I dont trust Branes evaluation of WR's at all. Trade the dang pick and get someone established. Now who to trade for... I don't know. We need to see how the season finishes, then see who is disgruntled, and who might be able to be traded for.

Josh Allen AFC Offensive POW Again (Week 14)!
blacklabel replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not sure why but I've just kinda always disliked Burrow lol. I think I'm just find him kind of smug or something. Real punchable face too. I typically don't care too much but something about that dork has always made me go, "bah, pipe down ya weenie." He wanted what he got in Cinci, got his bag and then his receivers got their bags and stayed on but whoops, then they couldn't (probably wouldn't anyway) pay anyone on defense and yeah it's gotta be super frustrating to be able to regularly hang 30+ most weeks and still lose. -
Bills can definitely free up a good bit of cap and if I had to guess will bring back, at least, one of McGovern/Edwards and likely Bosa. So that’s potentially good chunk of change right there. If they do the above, they’re probably pretty well set at the lines. Might even bring back Jones if he finishes on a high note. Bosa, Rousseau, Hoecht, Jackson, Solomon & Oliver, Walker, Sanders, Jones, Carter. Ideal, no. Could they be good if healthy, yes. Will they stay healthy, probably not. But if we want a legit WR.. this is probably the route we have to take on the DL for ‘26. QB, RB, TE all set. Draft picks will likely go to LB, Slot, Safety & CB depth. Leaves us with potentially one big offseason contract from out of the building that we can onboard and the ability to package our RD2 Pick with our RD1 pick or our ‘27 RD1 with our RD1 pick to legitimately move up, whichever way they want to explore in order to add to Gabe, Shakir, Palmer, Shavers & Coleman (if he’s still here) As for this year, we really just need to lock in our WR rotation for the playoffs and get Kincaid healthy. This is why the Palmer injury is even more frustrating. We don’t want to be experimenting in win or go home games. There are 4 games left and ideally these game are when JA develops chemistry for the guys he’s going to go to war with… as the article points out, we’re starting to see that with the defined roles being carved out by Gabe, Shavers and Shakir. Palmer factors to be in this mix, but at some point, we’re running out of runway for him to be anything more than a situational piece like Cooks and Coleman.

Josh Allen AFC Offensive POW Again (Week 14)!
Kelly to Allen replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
If he has solid numbers and wins out , it's going to be extremely difficult to not give it to him Especially when you consider his wins vs kc, Baltimore and Cincinnati kept those teams out of the playoffs potentially -
In 2025 the strength of the Bills' passing game is with their TEs and RBs, rather than their WRs. That's why 12 (and even 13) personnel fits this team better that trying to force the ball to sub-standard WRs. Maybe that outlook changes in 2026 if the team makes a trade for a genuine WR1 (Justin Jefferson?), but for the remainder of this season and the playoffs, the focus needs to be on the TEs -- with occasional shots to the WRs when coverage dictates it.
-
The run defense the last 4 weeks ranks EPA 25th after being Top 3 most the year. Injuries have really hurt them there. This isn't the same team we faced earlier in the year.
-
That was a terribly played game, but it doesn’t have nearly the same effect on our season due to being an nfc team

I hear the Iron Horse Pub in Simsbury has a group of Bills fans every week but haven't been there. Simsbury is 20-25 minutes from WEHA, in the wrong direction if you're from Fairfield County.
