From the standpoint of a guy who was once a huge Sabres fan over the Bills... The most important thing for Terry Pegula is his own comfort in the building. He wants to feel like he has a voice that is respected, and he wants to feel like he has people in place who he deems are quality "authentic" (his and Kim's word) and trustworthy. A nod to a bit of devout faith is a bonus as well. He is more than comfortable with McDermott and Beane in all those ways. Watching Hard Knocks cements that feeling for me. Pegula stammering around and Beane and McDermott catering to that. The calls for change arent loud at all. This is Buffalo and the talk of that is basically confined to message boards and group texts. The Buffalo news is declawed and WGR is no tiger. Nationally, there is zero talk of changes in Buffalo.

Allen missed a wide open Knox on the final play

Only thing that would have saved the game at least for another play is if he hit him for the 1st down. The penalty would have been called and would have had to be accepted by Houston as the Bills would have a 1st down otherwise. Would have made it 4th and 16. Not ideal, but better than the garbage way the game ended. -
I bloody wish. Useless clapper cant even get his own side of the ball right. And hasn't been able to for years. 33 points against per playoff exit 🤣🤣 Which are usually lower scoring games. That his speciality, his side of the ball ffs! We have a damned defensive head coach who cant come up with a defense And I know there are a group who want to peddle some ***** about how much they keep us in games like this one and the Falcons one after half time (which is true to be fair!). Same people casually ignoring that he repeatedly lets mash units and QBs like Penix and Mills cruise up and down the field for 20 points in the first half. Mills was missing guys by 5+ yards for the first half - and still got to 20 points!!! Letting their pass rush tee off on us because we are behind. Then claiming success as we shut it down a bit second half, Wake up people. He is ***** at his job. The sooner everyone can freely admit that, the better.

A Few Thoughts about the Texans Game - Community Edition

We are going to be having the exact same conversations this time next year when McDermott and Beane are still around. Rinse, cycle, repeat. I think Beane makes a splash in the off-season to try to save face and it ends up being a mistake. The team needs a different set of eyes and ears. And a lot of good fortune. -

He had no time to find Knox with 2 guys in his face. As it was most of the night. -

Yep that was bad -
They should have used Anderson as the 6th OL man for most of this game. Lucky Allen is still in one piece

might have something to do with Gabe running into the defender like a missile and committing the offensive pass interference. -
A Few Thoughts about the Texans Game - Community Edition

By the way, not complaining about our Superman QB. But it's just a fact that earlier in the season Baker Mayfield's club was down 19-13 at Houston. He got the ball with 2:04 remaining at their own 20. after a fast 10 plays, the Bucs scored a TD with 9 seconds left to win it. My point? It's not an impossible thing to do. The best QB should be able to get that done. I guess the team around him and the coaching blows in that situation. -
I was at the game and let me tell you what was happening downfield

I stayed home on my comfy couch and saw a Buffalo Bills team with to many injuries to beat any team. I saw poor pass protection and 8 sacks. I saw 3 turn overs by the Bills and none by the Texans. I saw my bank account grow by staying home and not flying to Houston. -
No. Because missing the playoffs this year won't likely change a thing. At the very most, if we are lucky, we will get a memo from the Bills that say they have full faith in both Beane and McDermott, they will mention injuries and then they will end it hyping up the new stadium. At the MOST that I believe we can hope for is a new OC and a new DC, but enthusiasm for that will be short lives when they promote from within for both spots.

Same guy who owns the sabres? Terry does not strike me as the type of guy to rock the boat. -
For all of the people saying that, “there’s no chance that these guys get fired,” I wouldn’t be so sure about that. How he’s handled the Sabres isn’t relevant in this discussion. The Bills and Sabres aren’t equal. The Sabres were his first love that he bought for under $190M. Their value has increased substantially since then. Hockey is still a niche sport that regional. For context, the Bills are worth 5x of the Sabres and $5.7B more than he paid for the Sabres. The external pressure to owning a football team is exponentially greater. If Adams remains the GM, no one says anything. It barely gets talked about on WGR. If the Bills fail, the whole country/world is paying attention. The Bills are a much bigger priority for him.

Despite the pathetic showing by the entire team, per usual the Bills could’ve put it away at the end. Not sure what Josh was thinking because it’s right in front of his face. (FF to 17:15) Before you flame me, i’m not putting the L on Allen, I am stating a simple fact. here’s an even better view https://www.instagram.com/reel/DRTn2GBgHVt/?igsh=MTZzbW9veGRpaG9scA==

I think it’s Joe Brady calling a game in the manner of how McDermott would want. McDermott and Daboll didn’t see eye to eye because McDermott wanted a run oriented, ball control offense with the likes of Devin Singletary as the starting RB. Daboll knew the offense should go through Josh Allen. They needed balance but not a compete shift in offensive philosophy The next hire was Dorsey, who ran the offense the way McDermott wanted, but didn’t have the 21 personnel to do so. Same with Brady. Now they have the 21 personnel, but are lacking anyone (besides Cook) with speed or that can create separation. On top of that, all the defensive short comings over the years….Aftet you fire/lose 4+ coordinators, who is the common denominator?!

Including a guy we let walk because our defensive mastermind head coach couldn't figure out how to use him.

Agreed. They’re exhausted and increasingly appear to be sleepwalking through games. Maybe if they crash and burn the rest of the year we can divest of some of this veteran dead weight and try again next year though at this point until they get rid of mcd and beane nothing will change. Terrible drafting and FA signings have built the prison we’re in I don’t see 3 more wins on the schedule. Too many injuries and too much bad coaching and game day decision making. I assume they’ll beat the jets and probably look like world beaters against NE, but I doubt they beat anyone else.
