RB and WR markets are actually insane.
machine gun kelly replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
So from the OP, WR salaries have gone up, and RB salaries have gone down. There is no question that’s true, but it’s like saying water is wet, and the pope is Catholic. This has been an evolving trend for quite sometime. They get paid what the market reflects. I don’t fault RB’s who are trying to earn their best compensation, nor WR’s taking advantage of the salary burst. They have limited job opportunities, and the smart ones manage their $ well, they can bankroll enough to then start their real careers as they have another 25-30 years like the rest of us. -
They can beat us in the regular season and we can beat them in the playoffs.

An MRI inside Lamar's skull:

I put a lot of blame on the coaching as well. 13 seconds was a debacle from the kickoff to playing "prevent us from winning defense" on both of KC's plays from scrimmage. In the playoff win against Baltimore the offense got way too conservative in the second half. And in the loss at Baltimore, the trick play that Brady called almost knocked Josh out for the season in week 4, and took away all our 2nd half momentum. A lot of people like Brady. But overall his offense play calling is predictable and conservative. (was terrible in short yardage in the AFCCG) And with a QB as dynamic as #17 he needs to be better and open things up. We have good weapons this year. Need to push the ball down the field. You want a take what the defense gives us offense, why pay $300+ million for Josh Allen? Just go get the next Brad Johnson, Teddy Bridgewater or Mitch Trubisky. Maybe even Spencer Ratler. LOL

I unfortunately feel JA has been ranked too high on here. While he is my favorite QB by a mile here is what AI had to say.. Josh Allen is known for his dynamic play, but he has faced scrutiny regarding his performance in critical moments, particularly in high-pressure situations and close games . Points often raised include: Turnovers: Allen has a higher turnover rate compared to some other top quarterbacks, especially in crucial moments. His turnovers have led to significant points for opponents. Playoff losses: The Buffalo Bills have suffered a number of heartbreaking playoff losses, with some instances highlighting Allen's mistakes in crucial moments. For example, a failed quarterback sneak in a recent AFC Championship game against the Chiefs. Close game struggles: The Bills have a less impressive record in one-score games where Allen has a higher turnover rate. However, it's important to consider counterpoints: Clutch performance metrics: Some metrics, like Pro Football Focus grades, show Allen as a top-performing quarterback in the fourth quarter and when trailing. Game-winning drives: Allen has led numerous game-winning drives throughout his career, demonstrating his ability to perform under pressure. Playoff performance (in some instances): Despite some high-profile losses, Allen has also delivered impressive performances in the playoffs, showcasing his ability to lead his team in intense situations. Context of turnovers: While turnovers are costly, some of Allen's turnovers occur on late-game, high-risk plays necessary to win. He also plays "hero ball," extending plays with his legs. In conclusion, while Josh Allen has had some notable struggles and turnovers in critical moments, particularly in close games, his overall performance, including clutch metrics and game-winning drives, paints a more nuanced picture of his ability to perform under pressure.

They're going to cut the gut who dropped yhje conversion before the season starts? He's the reason they lost.

R- Man, that is one of my cousin and I’s favorite movies. We recite lines all the time while kidding around on a weekend check in. That amongst the LW movies, Goodfellas, etc. I’m the one with secret love of Star Trek. I grew up watching that show in the 70’s on Ch. 29. If you are from Buffalo, you know Ch. 29.

1994 - Kelly & Reed vs Favre & Sharpe - NFL Throwback
Gregg replied to BigDingus's topic in The Stadium Wall
Back then defenses could play defense. Today's game the rules are geared towards the offense and that is mostly because of player safety. A few years ago, on the Inside the NFL Ray Lewis said he wouldn't be able to play in today's game. He said just about every hit he would make on an offensive player would be flagged for unnecessary roughness. He's probably right about that. -
Good thing the game is @ HOME.

I originally thought we were gonna win this game. Now with this revenge factor I just don’t know.
-
I was gonna say... who wouldnt want revenge... lol
-
A man like Lamar got a great empty hole right through the middle of his trophy case. He can never run enough or pass enough or do enough commercials to ever fill it. - What does he need? Revenge. - For what? For losing the MVP to Allen.

I'd rank Mahomes #1, Hurts #2. Say what you want about Hurts but he gets the job done in the big moments. He's got two SB appearances in his five seasons of play with two different coaching staffs, and he played lights out in both of those games. I think Hurts being able to perform at a high level under two different head coaches and *multiple* offensive coordinators has him in the conversation for being the best quarterback in the NFL.

Bring your golf attire and golf clap, the fans there are the lamest fans of anywhere i have visited. A friend and myself almost got kicked out of the game by security because the fans were complaining about us standing up during parts of the game. Its been like that every game I been to in Carolina. It's the closest stadium to where I live. Another time I almost got in a fight because I was using "cuss" words" 🤣🤣

I always find these types of comments funny. As if a player who lost in the playoffs wouldn't want to win the next time he played

Love. It. 😂 -
I'm actually glad we play them in Week 1. If it were up to me, we would start with Baltimore, KC, and the Bengals. The first few weeks are such an anomaly of performance and I'd rather just get them out of the way. Plus, besides playoff seeding, we've come to realize very clearly that regular season outcomes have no influence over post-season outcomes. Play them, get it over with, show nothing on tape. Destroy them in the playoffs.

I didn't want any of the guys around or after Moss in that class. That is my point. Singletary is better than those other guys but not in a decisive way. He has had three starting jobs in the NFL now and lost three starting jobs. Sure Harris is out of the league (because of health reasons) and Justice Hill is more of a 3rd down back than a start but the value above replacement of Singletary against those guys is not high. If you are spending a 3rd round pick on such a low value position I would want better.... and even your own link shows there are better guys in the last decade that have been picked in the 3rd, 4th and 5th rounds.
