  1. Past hour
  2. The news announced thatRoswell Park is no longer in network for Indepedent Health. I have Highmark and am seeing my broker arounf=d Halloweem.
  3. Jerry was just giving the fans a 1 finger peace sign
  4. We are committed to following a load management strategy to be rested for the run to the Super Bowl that never happens. What does happen is we squander just enough games to not be first seed. Having said that , in the current season the abscence of a breakout team and an apparently soft remaining schedule leaves the bills in number 1 seed hunt.
  5. I dont speak for Buffalo because I am on Lake Ontario but I'll take Toronto over NYC any day of the week. I think the love of the Yankees in this area has more to do with history and family traditions than it is a hate of Canada or the Blue Jays. I mean the Yankees had been around for 76 years before the Jays were even a franchise.
  6. I don't think it's meant as real life hate as that would be nuts and whoever feels that way towards a rival sports team needs help. There is sports "hate" among rivals. Bills - Dolphins, Yankees - Red Sox, Michigan - Ohio State to name a few examples. The teams that fanbases want to beat the most and ruin their season. That type of thing.
  7. i think it's an incredibly high probability that we lose compared to other games this season. i think we are at risk of losing this game more than the Eagles game, for example. We do not match up as well as the Falcons who can power run it, who have a stingy defense, who are at home on a Monday night and have motivation to upset the Bills. The Eagles and Chiefs are capable of sleepwalking the regular season and know it. the eagles do not interest me with their low risk plays and passive play calling to consume the clock and mitigate Hurts passing. by that time we may even be firing on some bigger play potential. we matchup well against the Eagles because we are similar in many ways. the chiefs are the only contender i have for us later in the season but we know that this team will be able to rise to the occasion - as long as they win - i do not think there is much to fear. the falcons will have their ears pinned back on defense, bijan is going to bring the truck against our defense and pennix will struggle against the McD defense which is even too complicated for even our own team. Pennix could be delivery fatal runs and schoolyard plays.
  8. Always thought carrying the “I hate” whoever sports team well into adulthood a bit silly.
  9. Jets fans should be used to this. Woody Johnson has been flipping the bird at Jets fans for years.
  10. Thanks for clearing that up about the final Pats game. "A cause"? Yeah, fair enough. No arguing that. But "a cause" means a non-zero effect. I think that is indeed very clear. But it could be 1% of the cause. It could also be more, of course. I'd argue it is indeed a bit more than 1%. But that it were any kind of major cause that in the games he played, the Bills offense's production would have been a lot better in the plays when he was on the field and teams had to account for him than it was when he was on the bench and defense didn't have to worry. And again, nobody's ever been able to show anything like that.
  11. The NFL (No Fun League) started down this misery spiral when they put those pesky nets up behind the goal posts. Back at the Rockpile, the kids would all stand behind the end zone and try to catch the field goals and extra points. Inevitably a feeding frenzy ensued after each kick…like watching piranha when chum is dumped into the tank. Good times, I tell ya! 😉
  12. Penix will look like a natural HOFer come monday night.....
  13. Why is Ghislaine Maxwell part of the hostage release? 🤷‍♂️
  14. No worries…..just messing with you. It’s what we do here. 👍
  15. While correlation does not imply causation, the sample size is large enough that his presence is almost certainly “A” cause (but not the only cause of course). It’s almost certainly not coincidental that their improved passing and scoring coincided with him being in the lineup. What amount should be attributed to him? I don’t know but it almost certainly isn’t zero. Sorry, I should have clarified. I threw that final Pats game out because they didn’t want to win or play starters. It’s the other 16 games
  16. As for Buffalo and baseball I could see the Yankees and Mets being NY and Bills fans always remind Jets-Giants fans that they are the only NY football team. So, I can see supporting the NY baseball teams even though the Blue Jays are a lot closer to Buffalo. I can also see the Blue Jays having a lot of fans in WNY being the "local" team to the area. But the Indians, Sox, and Pirates. I can't understand that. Especially the Sox given the hatred for Boston teams in the Pats and Bruins.
  17. We’re in a place where only a Super Bowl appearance will be a successful season. We’ve waited long for KC to be down a rung or two in the AFC hierarchy, Baltimore is temporarily off the map, and upstart Indy, Jax and maybe Denver are the biggest challengers. If the Bills can make a trade for a CB and get some guys back there’s no reason to not win the AFC. So yes, a loss vs middling Atlanta will not be taken well.
  18. Ben has won two Super Bowls. That doesn't sound like a wasted career to me. McDermott is making Allen this generation's version of Marino/Rivers.
  19. Oh no, Orlovsky on ESPN says the Bills are on “upset alert” this Monday. Beware.
  20. It gets worse when you consider that it's a bye week thereafter, so the poison and gruel would continue for 2 weeks until the Carolina game.
  21. Fair enough. But correlation does not imply causation. I mean, you might say, "Hey, look at the final Pats game. The Bills only threw for 129 yards. And Amari didn't play. That's pretty clearly a massive fall-off without Amari." But then you wouldn't be left without much to say when someone replied, "Don't you think that Josh Allen playing one snap to keep his consecutive game streak alive, handing off and Trubisky playing the rest of the game might have had to do with even more of that dropoff than Amari not playing?" And that one game was responsible for more than a quarter of the shortfall between yards and points in games he played and games he didn't. If Cooper was the causation rather than mostly just the correlation, it would have been pretty easy to tell. He only played 46% of the plays in the games he was playing. You could throw out all the games he didn't play in and look only at the games he actually played in. And there'd have been a major difference in those games in how the Bills performed depending whether he was riding pine or in the huddle. Nobody has ever showed any stats showing anything like that. At least that I have seen. Have you seen anything like that? And it's not like this hasn't been pointed out before. People were looking to prove this. If there'd been a major difference, IMO it would have been trumpeted to the heavens.
  22. But blame it on NYS! 😆🤣 Niagara Falls & Tesla invented the AC motor... Where does all that power go now... Toronto & NYC... Like everything else, easy to resent when your region is turned into "Radiator Springs."
  23. There are 7 teams missing, only 25 are shown on that graph.
  24. Julian Edelman claims that Josh McDaniel's has McDermott's number. I don't know how factual that is, but if McDermott does not at least take the Bills to the Superbowl this season he has to go IMO. Otherwise you run the risk of wasting Allen's career like Mike Tomlin did with Big Ben. Pittsburgh wont fire Tomlin either and look where it has got them.
