  2. Didn't mean to get you going. Hope this doesn't get you going more. Not many have stated the case that McD and Beane aren't good. Imho, that's not really up for debate. The real question is are they good enough? That depends on a lot of variables such as expectations, desires, how someone views football, etc... I've contended for years that McD isn't good enough. I wanted him gone right after 13 seconds. I've been pretty neutral on Beane. I've never been on the McD sucks train but certainly on the let's move on train because I don't think he can get it done. I think he's had ample chances with Allen as elite QB. It's been one disappointing playoff exit after another for several years. I've seen enough and it sure feels like ground day to me. I firmly believe coaching changes from top to bottom are needed. Brady and Babich are second rate McD picks. I'm not an advocate of being a run first team when you have the best QB in the league. This regime has failed to arm Allen with weapons. That's borderline criminal. The McD defense and make no mistake about it's been his defense for years falls woefully short come playoff time. Yet, the McD apologists continue to give us statistics and continue to tell us how good he is. He's a great team builder, culture builder, and a nice guy. No debating this. What he's not thus far is someone who can lead the Bills to a Super Bowl. Isn't that the goal? Hadn't that been a realistic goal the last few years despite its level of difficulty? Ask yourself what has prevented the Bills from hoisting the Lombardi trophy? Ask yourself if meaningful change is needed? Go Bills!!!
  3. That's literally on the general manager It has nothing to do with our coach.. he is not the de facto judge jury and executioner He does not run the Buffalo Bills like Bill belichick ran the Patriots Brandon brings in the groceries Sean Cooks them... Sean certainly does not scout college wide receivers enough to know who's the buat and who's the gem And he certainly doesn't tell Brandon bring in the worst wide receivers possible lol I'm pretty sure Sean says give me better wide receivers Brandon brings in guys who are not as good as he thinks And despite that we still are one of the most varied tough to stop offenses in the NFL.. Brandon needs to hit on a second round pick wide receiver that's not on Sean McDermott Sean is doing a great coaching job with this roster but he doesn't bring in the players they wouldn't be paying brandon millions of dollars if he did
  4. Allen, Cook, Spencer Brown, Benford and Bosa.
  5. Allen Cook Bosa Dawkins Benford
  6. I was going to say that Evan Roberts' only redeeming quality was that he was a Mets fan. 😂 I recall liking him years ago but, like I said, with every passing day I grow to despise him more and more. Same with Sal Licata who is a loudmouth idiot, too, but at least has a likable personality. If he had his way, he'd empty the Mets entire farm system for one year of Skubal who will then bolt for the Dodgers at the end of the year. Skubal is a great talent but I'd rather take my chances on him as a UFA next offseason. It costs you nothing but money. Anyway, just my two cents. I guess these stations feel that all New Yorkers like loud, brain dead, mouth breathers shouting into the void and telling anyone who will listen that NYC is the center of the universe and every other place sucks. How dare anyone leave for a "smaller market"! ARE THEY ALL IDIOTS??!!!
  7. You keep setting up strawmen. Nobody is saying that they shouldn’t be balanced. Nobody is saying that McD is the worst coach in the league. There are other threads on this forum giving Beane his flowers for Poyer, the Cook extension, Hawes and the o-line. What we are criticizing are those 2-3 moves and decisions each offseason that prioritize other parts of the roster - mainly interior D line depth or safety or second running back - over taking a chance on more perimeter skill players to ALSO take pressure of Josh Allen. It’s not just about picking better players it’s about spreading out your bets and taking more chances - they just haven’t done enough of that at WR and it’s frankly not even debatable and to @HappyDays point even THEY likely now know it which will be proven in the offseason when they FINALLY try something different. But it is totally fine to be frustrated that they didn’t change their approach earlier - especially given how the AFC has shaken out this year.
  8. The schedule makers really did us no favors with these last couple games! The Bengals game after they get 10 days rest. Followed by a big divisional game and the Pats have a 14 day rest. I expect the Pats to come out on fire. They’re rested. Know they win the division with a win. And have eyes on the #1 seed. We have to come out and match that physicality and energy right from the start. And hopefully have a better game plan to keep Maye contained in the pocket.
  9. I’ve seen a drop off a little bit, but I mostly see the bad play coming from everyone’s weird fetish this year, Cam Lewis. The guy consistently gets taken advantage of and for some reason this board loves him. I do think we need to address nickel cornerback, though in the draft somewhere. It’s not something that needs to be taken first couple rounds but definitely somewhere in the draft or free agency.
  10. His production the last 10 games is awful.
  11. What you’re saying is that Stefon wants folks to take precaution when laying the old pipe on his exquisite line of furniture.
  12. I'm sure McD had no input on using our first 4 picks on defense this year.
  13. Please don’t take my criticism of Taron as “talking smack” as nothing could be further from the truth. He’s made some good plays this year even though he’s struggled at times.
  14. If he could, he would’ve already done so. He’s been fantastic throughout his career here, but the wheels fell off this year. He’s been burned way too many times. It’s just a fact of life. At some point, our athleticism diminishes, especially when we’ve used it at a high level for so long.
  15. I understand 716. I do. I just think we need all hands on deck for the playoffs and maybe we actually pull lightning out if a bottle.
  16. It's on NFL Network at 8:00pm est.
  17. I’d be all about it
  18. Josh Allen is going to make McDermott the first ever coach and QB combo to win a Super Bowl after 5 seasons together. Another first and record for Josh Allen.
  19. Justin Herbert has been sacked the same amount of times as Josh Allen in two less seasons lol And the chargers have gone nowhere in the playoffs and are not going anywhere this year... Protecting your quarterback is Paramount too The best corners cannot cover NFL wide receiver for four or five seconds consistently... If You don't have a line who could give your quarterback 3 seconds consistently you're not doing anything in the playoffs Dan Marino and Philip Rivers had plenty of talented offenses around them for years.. like 40 years of combined football and one Super bowl appearance combined It takes a lot more than just a good high flying offense .. Josh is on the same Peyton Manning trajectory and he didn't go to his first Super bowl till he was 30 The bills have a team in place that is still getting better.. it has not peaked... And it can win multiple ways ... It does not rely on Josh Allen to be a superstar 60 minutes straight like it did 5 years ago There is a salary cap.. and unless beane is just going to throw first round picks at wide receivers which is a crap shoot picking 28... And we don't have 98 million to pay a free agent wide receiver This team is built to win multiple ways which is how you win in January We could get better wide receivers but Brandon has to draft them better in the late first or second or third round... Has nothing to do with McDermott And yes if you said top five receiver core or a top five offensive line.. taking the top five offensive line every single time
  20. I don’t talk a lot of smack about Taron because even though he’s not having a great year he hasn’t forgot how to play, and this is the time of year he steps up. I’m betting Taron is going to silence doubters this week
  21. I can’t say there is no faith in Beane. This offseason will be huge to see what he does to give Josh better weapons, while adding a piece or two on D. Dude has a lot of work ahead. From what has been stated previously, McD may have more pull with ownership. And that is where it can go bad quickly. When two people are trying to save their own skins and potentially throwing one another under the bus. Would not have pictured either of them doing that until Beanes WR radio performance.
  22. I mean as a Pats fan, I would never turn down a Bills @ Pats AFC Championship game.
  23. There has been some rumblings on wgr lately as well. Not sure if its real or not they keep things pretty tight at OBD. But the rumors are out there.
  24. Joe Ferguson lead the league in passing in 1977. NFL QB 1977 Stats
