https://billswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/bills/2025/11/26/things-know-buffalo-bills-brandin-cooks-saints-josh-allen-nfl/87480748007/ Cooks has played 159 snaps in the slot and 263 on the outside this season in 10 games with the Saints in 2025 This is great news. If Keon is going to play, line Keon up inside.

I love the dedication to the delusion. But who is Andre Reed in this WR room?
-
He might have a mini in-season rebound for another team like MVS did last year. Less talented teams somehow got more production out of him than the Buffalo Bills with the current MVP, somthing clearly didn't click whist in Buffalo. MVS was just added to the Steelers PS in early November, he is on his 3rd different team this year.

Ed Oliver bicep injury - likely out regular season
Success replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
I feel like he's back for the playoffs. It seems like every player that gets a long term injury these days is coming back sooner than expected - medical advances are outpacing conventional wisdom on recovery times. -
I could be wrong, but I believe Coleman would be reasonably effective playing in the slot and quick slants. He had success against the Titans last year and the Ravens in week 1 being used like that. The low % back shoulder sideline stuff needs to go away

Unless they were both injured on the games first play it really doesn't. They were both playing like cheeks the entire night. -

Put him in bubblewrap until the playoffs. -
I like the lotto ticket mentality, but not for WR1. For 3 or 4, sure. But not 1 and 2.
-
When you have a roster full of WR3s, WR5 absolutely IS an important role because they're going to get opportunities. I made this point in the offseason too. If you have Chase and Higgins you barely need to worry about even your WR3. But the less talent you have at the top, the more important it is that the talent at the bottom can make plays. Moore ended up getting significant snaps at the X spot this year and was a total void in that spot when we really needed him to step up and make a few plays for us. I never expected Moore to be able to do that though and it's criminal that Beane did.

#11 is having an awful game

He was more useless than Coleman...

He was the obvious choice. I was saying so after Gabe's first activation. You aren't letting go of Shakir or Palmer. Shavers has another year on his contract and provides Special Teams and Blocking. Samuel they'll want to release this coming off-season to better save cap. And Coleman you could get something for in a trade this coming off-season. Moore was always the first player who wasn't active if everyone was healthy. He isn't under contract after this season. So after the next 6 games and the Playoffs (if we make them), he's out the door anyways for nothing in return. And he was the WR providing us with the least. He was the obvious odd man out. With the addition of Cooks, we were at 7 on the active roster and that doesn't take into account Gabe Davis on the PS or Mecole Hardman on IR. Pretty clear to me that this was done to put Gabe on the roster. And it wouldn't shock me to see Samuel moved to IR when Hardman is healthy - if everyone were to stay healthy.

Who do we want, who do we need as our next OC/DC?

what you are describing in terms of 'timing' is not specific to a west coast offense -
Greg Rousseau has turned out to be a complete slug.
JP51 replied to Walking Tall's topic in The Stadium Wall
Rousseau is simply not worth what we paid him... IMO there needs to be hard cap choices going forward including potentially eating dead cap space... He is average as a starter maybe and probably a great rotational guy on a team with major players... simply he is not good enough to anchor the edge position... we need to look to upgrade at every position on Defense... except maybe Bishop who has a high ceiling and that goes for Benford as well... I am wondering if he isnt best served in a Taron Johnson role if we can upgrade CB1 or Hairston becomes a bona fide CB1.... just how I see it. -
Bills @ Ravens Wild Card game watch - 28% after Week 12
No_Matter_What replied to No_Matter_What's topic in The Stadium Wall
I started this topic after Week 11 by saying that it is pretty likely that we end up playing WC at Baltimore. At that time, odds of Bills @ Ravens were over 36% - Bills were 52% to finish as seed 5 and Ravens 68% to finish as seed 4. After our loss to the Texans Week 12 the odds have dropped to about 28% (25% as Bills (5) @ Ravens (4) and about 3% for other seeding options). Odds of Ravens finishing 4th are now at 72%, but odds of the Bills finishing 5th have dropped to 35%. Week 13 game against the Steelers will change a lot (in either way). -
Important role? He was WR5, not sure I’d call that an important role. I mean that’s what you usually fill bottom of the bench spots with, guys who are still available or developmental draft picks which are all cheap.

What does "Complementary Football" mean in Bills Coachspeak?
The Jokeman replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Those teams were flawed. If we ran any kind of traditional offense we might have won a Super Bowl or two IMO. Yet everyone wants to go crazy over our great offense until it fell apart in the most important game of the season. Not just once but four times. -

I didn't realize they had done this; it's a great idea. I'd much rather have those than seats. -

Warriorspikes51 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
there needs to be an emphasis on moving the pocket / getting the ball out quick. BOTH Anderson and Hawes should be used. I don't understand why we go away from that the entire Houston game when it's very effective for us -
I mean you are more making my point than anything. Looking ahead and penciling in those wins was pretty pointless given we lost those games. All good, agree to disagree on the looking ahead way too early thing

Who do we want, who do we need as our next OC/DC?
The Jokeman replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
It means your QBs is throwing to a spot and you're expecting your WR to be at that spot when ball gets there. Case in point you take a 5 step drop as a QB you should be throwing that as your foot lands on the that last step and anticipating your WR going to finish his route and be where you throw it. IF Josh decides to instead scramble to his right and looking for a WR well then it blows up the "timing of the play" and your WR then have to then adjust their routes accordingly. Short accurate passes to move the chains is what defines the offense. -
