11/9/25 GAMEDAY Bills at Dolphins Post Game Thread

That’s a bit of a stretch, don’t you think? -
Well, maybe if the team wasn't so 'Jekyll and Hyde', the board might be more rational. 😁
-
We have no vertical passing game.
-
I get that. It's a recency thing. But I think both things can be true. How can a team play one of their best games against a team that many feel is still one of the best, and then play their arguably worst games against one of the worst teams. If the Bills kept playing like they did against the Chiefs, they could easily win the SB. If they continue to play like today, they don't deserve a playoff spot.
-
I think they also keep injured guys out who could probably play but to whom they want to give an extra week's rest. "It's okay, we're only playing (bad team)." Don't think the players aren't picking up on this and assuming the game will be a cakewalk.

That’s what I don’t understand. You’ve got one of the best QBs to ever play the game and they make an organizational decision to make him a Brock Purdy game manager. It makes no sense.
-
Bean, McD thank you. So sick of some fans acting like we are the only team with injuries. We are the only team that routinely makes other teams 100th string defense or offense look amazing.
-
It's a good case for the worse regular season loss of McD's tenure given the stakes. The Dolphins obviously rallied around their coach after the GM was fired. To me the postseason is just a different animal and 13 seconds was just a complete abortion of late game management by McD.
-
And that means because we happened to stink today that Beane is deliberately trying to spite the fans? Come on. Get over yourselves. Should our WR room be better? Sure, I’ll agree. But he brought Palmer who is hurt and tried to get Waddle in a trade. We lost today. But if you think the only reason we lost today is the lack of one WR that’s crazy. The O line was bad, we lost our best receiver when Kincaid got hurt, the D did not play well in part because of all the injuries, and we had 3 turnovers. If we don’t make the payoffs Beane and McD should be held to account for their performance and a change considered to be sure. But let’s drop the crap about purposely trying to spite fans. That is absurd.
-
and McExcuse will trout out some BS excuse as to why they missed.
-
I think you have them backwards
-
The Bills were high bidders for Waddle, tried acquiring Williams

You can't possibly be watching other top teams in the NFL and think we have a top offense. IDGAF what some yardage stats say or some PPG stats that is skewed. We have 3 games now where our offense was garbage. We don't have a good passing game. We are one dimensional and anyone that shuts down that one dimension, like today, is going to shut down our "top offense." -
Playoffs? Aint happening this year. Not knee jerking, just being realistic. This team is a hot mess with loads of injuries, a piss poor WR corps, and undersized DL’s and LBs.

Regression towards the mean was always likely. Then you need a competent WR room, but the defense needed fixing, so lots of folks were happy to put that on the back burner. -

Hollins and Cooper are definitely missed. Even tho he was the end of his career, Cooper still had to be accounted for from a big play potential standpoint. Opposing D's just don't respect anyone we got on the outside now. -
And it’s provable. Maybe someone could pull up the snap counts for exact numbers but…. Today, against Atlanta, and against Carolina, I noticed that on the second defensive series, they will have our 2nd and 3rd string DL guys in. TO START OFF THE DRIVE! They are not filling in. This is planned. Landon Jackson got hurt when he was in with Solomon. In what world would Landon Jackson and Solomon be on the field at the same time!?!? the staff clearly believes they will easily beat these teams, and want the backups to get reps. this is a clear indication that the staff doesn’t treat every game as seriously as the next, and I think that’s trickling down to the players.

if we miss the playoffs and this clown show FO is back I’ll be done buying tickets, merchandise, etc. others will likely be as well. Having an owner who does not care about winning is horrid. Already have that with Pirates who are utterly wasting Skenes.

Here to rant, not listen. Glass is 2/3 empty. The Bills have played up to expectations against the Jets, the Panthers and the Chiefs. They played 10 inspired minutes against the Ravens but were otherwise outclassed. They played below expectations in the first Dolphins game and against the Saints. They were outplayed losing at home to the Patriots and were downright bad against the Falcons and in the second Dolphins game. The defense has been shakey almost the entire season, is ravaged by injury and won't have Hoecht and Oliver, arguably its two biggest difference makers this year, for at least the rest of the regular season. Special teams are mediocre at best. With the exception of Shakir, Cook and Kincaid, all offensive skill players have disappointed and Cook and Kincaid are showing signs of over usage. Really ripping the bandaid off here: even Josh Allen has not been played up well, let alone up to his standards of the previous five seasons. Coaches have shown little ability to right the ship. I feel considerably less optimistic about the Bills prospects at this point in the season than in any year since 2020. At no point this season have the Bills demonstrated the sort of sustained excellence that I would need to see in order to drink the Kool Aid and convince myself that they're capable of making a Super Bowl run.

I haven't read all the posts in this thread so maybe this has been talked about but did any one we tried the onside kick to early? 3:30 left, 3 TO's and the 2 minute warning Why not start Miami at their 30? Instead they started at the Bills 38 allowing them to be more aggressive then they would have been back at their 30. IMO you save the onside kick until the last moment. Hell, the extra pressure on the receiving team with a minute left might make a difference. -

Bills have a good run game and good short passing game that is an extension to the run game. McD talks about being two dimensional a lot in his press conferences but the O is not even close to that. And he ***** loves it. Then he’ll go on about how they gotta stay ahead of chains, dominate LOS so our passing game can feed off that. Being two dimensional means you are good at both and it’s just not the case. And like I said, he loves it. This is his style football. Problem is the O gotta play perfect for it to work. It works but when it doesn’t it looks bad, real bad. D gave up 3 scores on first 4 drives. Against ATL, 3 scores on first 4 drives as well. Once you get behind it’s hard to dig your way out. Pressure is off the opposing D to play perfect football, they just gotta keep the ball infront of them. -

It's best to be conditioning the fans to the harsh realities of the situation. 😉😇 -
