Network pricing to watch all NFL games in 2025
Just Jack replied to Gregg's topic in The Stadium Wall
One day I decided not to delete emails as they came in, to see how many I typically might get in one day. It was over 70. -
U.S. - China agree on framework of trade deal
Roundybout replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Where is it “ongoing negotiation” in Trump’s statement? It’s really adorable how you try to dunk on me when you couldn’t actually answer what this deal does. St. Bonaventure education, eh? Too much time at the Rathskeller -
What is being discussed is if Shakir got Diggs same target share (160 targets) compared to the 100 targets he got last year could he hit 1200-1400 yards. He had 821 yards on 100 targets...60 more targets is another 492 yards, which is over 1313 yards. And if you use his career averages it would project to even more yards. And Shakri is actually a really good route runner and the arm thing is maybe one of the most over exaggerated aspects of his game and you would be hard pressed to find many examples on film where this negatively impacted his ability to make a play when given the opportunity. Now will he get 160 targets probably not, and definitely not in this offense as no one will here under Brady with how they spread the ball around and incorporate the run game. But IF he got 160 yards he clearly would finish in the 1200-1400 yard range, and its not really a question to be honest.

A couple I started watching recently... 1) Murderbot on Apple TV, security robot thinks humans are stupid and just wants to watch TV shows. 2) Stick, also on Apple TV. Owen Wilsons character is a former golf pro, who finds a teen with a gift for golf, and takes him under his wing -
Bengals bungling things up - new rookie contract clause
Richard Noggin replied to The Wiz's topic in The Stadium Wall
"Disruptors" ... lol of their own organizational cohesion Legal judgments are not always germane to League judgments, however. "Letting the legal process play out" is mostly about PR. Teams and the league can punish players independent of any criminal or civil consequences. For better and for worse, I suppose. -
Yeah that was my whole point

There were a lot of decent films that year and the subject matter is sometimes too dark for the Oscar voters. A early year release hurt it too. I thought Hanks deserved an Oscar nom for Captain Phillips that year too.

Expectations for Javon Solomon
BillsFanForever19 replied to KentuckyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
With Hoecht suspended, it still makes Solomon 5th in the pecking order to me. With Bosa being a walking injury waiting to happen (he's already been dinged up before Training Camp) and him not going to take so much as 50% of snaps, Jackson being a 3rd Rounder that has never played a down in the league, and Hoecht suspended - I don't see AJ being moved until Hoecht is in the lineup (if at all). We've only got the minimum 5 we keep at DE for Week 1-8 as it is. If we have an injury and we've moved on from AJE, we'd be short handed and relying on Jackson and Solomon. I don't see that happening. So, yeah, long story short - with Hoecht in the lineup or not, Solomon is looking at 5th in the pecking order at best in my eyes. Which is the role he had last season. Jackson will be in Smoot's role. -
I know nobody wants to hear or believe this (including myself). It was a thought it my head about a month ago, but now, with this news, I’m going to officially make the call: Dorian Strong wins the job over Hairston. it’s Kaiir Elam vs Benford all over again. Guys both players were even drafted in the same rounds I mean come on we did it to ourselves 🤣

Agree with both sentences, but also I REALLY don't think McD is likely to field an offense that throws at such a high % unless they're behind a lot more often than anyone would like to see. Would be super fun to just see Allen unleashed now like he was to some extent back in the Daboll days. Very unlikely, though.

Los Angeles under military attack

Be careful, who is posting things nobody pays attention to when you’re gone? -
The system is very kind to CB’s. We’re gonna be ok. A “serious camp battle” will be Jackson and Ingram vying for the last CB spot. The loser spends time on the practice squad until a season ending injury occurs.

It's possible but highly unlikely. Shakir's strength is finding soft spots in zone and YAC ability. He isn't a superb route runner like Beasley and has a small catch radius with his microscopic arms so that limits his opportunities down the field. He's not going to win many closely contested catches. I think 1,000 is a possibility but I'd be shocked if he ever cracked 1,200 yards.

Expectations for Javon Solomon
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to KentuckyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree, but have to consider what is expected. Recall reading something a few months back talking about Groot. Basically it stated Groot has been been good, not great, but about what you'd expect for a player drafted around #30 overall. Not look at AJ and he was drafted late in the 2nd round, #54, so maybe he too is doing about what realistically can be expected. The problem is rarely do the words realistic and this message board go together. The average career of players drafted in round 2 is only 3.3 years so AJ has exceeded that. Also read that only around 20% of all NFL drafted players have careers considered to be good or excellent. What's it all mean. Well from what many posters write, if any players drafted in 1st 3 rounds don't become stars, Beane failed. But when you consider stats like this, he's not doing too bad, infact when you look at the Bills overall record over the past 5 to 6 years, he's doing very very good. Certainly having Josh Allen helps a lot, but it's not all because of Allen either -
With Hoecht suspended there's gonna by some time for Jackson or Solomon to slot into that "Dwyane Smoot" back end DE rotation role.

Trump's 79th Birthday Parade
reddogblitz replied to Homelander's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Personally I would rather see them not fugged up in the 1st place. President Trump was elected to get spending under control and start paying down the debt. This $60+ billion would be a nice 1st payment. I can remember a few months ago when Elon Musk was bragging as were many of his followers here when he found a 5 million dollar contract he could get us out of. Now its just, oh well, its only 60 mil. No biggee. What happened? I actually love my country and support out troops and indeed did serve in The United States Marine Corps and I think it sounds friggin dumb. -
Prominent Transgender Activist Announces She is DETRANSITIONING & Gender Cultists MELT DOWN For anyone who has studied cults, like yours truly, there is ZERO doubt whatsoever that the gender ideology being pushed by the Left (and more than a few Democrats) is one hundred percent a cult, and boy howdy do the followers revile and attack those who leave the cult. Or simply question the cult. Or have doubts and concerns. The latest to escape this cult is someone we've actually written about here at Twitchy at least once before. Well, at least peripherally. 'The P*ssed Off Lawyer,' a transgender activist (woman who identified as a man), has 'come out' and is de-transitioning. She recently came under fire for daring to question the tactics of the transgender movement and its supporters, so this news came as a major shock. As you, Dear Readers, would expect, the leftists entrenched in this cult have been throwing a temper tantrum and responded to Hendrix with viciousness and irrational anger. Also similar to other prominent cults throughout history, there is an unreasonable and irrational fear about everything that exists outside of the cult, i.e. the left's favorite boogeyman: 'ThE fAsCiSt RiGhT.' We've been screeched at for several years now that merely adhering to biological reality is literally a genocide against transgender individuals because, remember, words are literal violence in the minds of these cult members. https://twitchy.com/laura-w/2025/06/11/pol-detransitioning-n2414127

Down 55 percent - they are actually sugar coating this: The league's TV ratings have declined with Clark sidelined. Nationally televised WNBA viewership is down 55% since her injury, according to Nielsen. Fever national TV games are down 53% since Clark's injury – 1,810,000 average viewers before her injury and 847,000 viewers since her injury for Fever national TV games.
