  1. Past hour
  2. Nice to see a player get paid and then live up to the contract (that's right, I'm giving the side-eye to you, Rousseau).
  3. I would say.. lets not worry about that and just beat NE... but... I think they will have to make the streak 5 in order to do so... so lets go1
  4. I have pretty strong feelings on this. Davis seems like a fantastic guy. He also is the worst player on the 53 IMO. His feet are so slow. He’s Zack Moss. I’d certainly give Gore a chance. I’d trade Davis for whatever I could get. I’d just draft another RB in 2026 in the middle rounds.
  5. Maybe, though I don't personally care. The individual awards are nice but what we all want, including Allen and Cook, is playoff success.
  6. If he can get up to speed and healthy and can get into games by even mid November then there's still a lot of football left where he could contribute
  7. the only thing that has come close to stopping our multiple tight end/heavy jumbo package was when miami trotted out 5 or 6 DL and we arrogantly ran right into it. cook still lit that game up. i think brady has to get just a little bit less creative at times and stick to his guns a bit (more play action vs NO was a good sign of this, means we aren't just throwing out a million different looks all game), but having 8 blockers, cook, and coleman on the field w allen is kind of disgusting. as i see it, the two biggest threats to us winning a chip (aside from injuries obv) are the chiefs and the iggles. both run a similar to ours cover 2 type scheme/nickel base, but kc blitzes with the best of them and philly has monsters inc on their line. the answer to that is catching them w 2 lbs on the pitch and physically mauling them along with play action, which i think we do better than anyone. 4 of the 6 rings brady got w ne was from sound d and run, and being able to pass short medium and long with multiple combos of tight ends on the field, we should copy that and make 2 te sets our sort of offensive base. we already know we can spread well, even with lack luster wrs. last season houston gave us fits (as did baltimore) since we could not stress the d outside the numbers. a multiple te set with actual talent changes the game there and put the advantage back to us. also, i think dalton kinky has been our most improved player year to date.
  8. Davis hasn't looked great this year. But Cook has been so much better in short yardage and yards after contact this year that Davis just isn't getting the opportunities. I'm pretty dubious about his weight loss this offseason. Seems not a smart move for a power back, but what do I know. He's low cost so I doubt any changes happen this year. I'm a tiny bit concerned about Johnson, his strong suit is the passing game, and he has had a few unexpected drops this year. Again here Cook seems to be doing better catching the ball (normally short passes) and he is a yac machine. I'd be really surprised to see any RB moves unless there are injuries. Bills have far bigger issues on defense and need to use any capital or practice squad call-ups there IMO.
  9. Davis yards before contact is currently 1.2, league average is 2.4. He doesn't have the carries to show up on a league list - but there are 5 backs with a sub 1.5 yards before contact with the qualifying number of carries. Charbonnet - 2.5 yards per carry Warren - 3.1 yards per carry Conner - 3 yards per carry Brown - 2.3 yards per carry Jeanty - 4.1 yards per carry - Helped tremendously by a 64 yard carry. Without that he'd be averaging 3.2 yards per carry. He hasn't had the touches to get in a rhythm, and the run blocking has likely been worse during his limited snaps.
  10. It's both a compliment and an insult. It speaks to one's ability to get people to engage with their content - usually in the form of a controversial or outrageous take. I applied it to your thread here mostly because of the all-capped "NOW" implying that holding a team to 19 points and less than 300 yards was some sort of five alarm fire situation. I think you're wrong on the "hot seat" notion, but I do share concerns with you about the defense holding up against better teams and I would have preferred to see them dominate against the Fins and Saints at home the way they did in New Jersey. I think it's mostly execution on the part of a young secondary and missing some key players in the middle, but could McDermott calling plays lead to a better performance? Maybe. Or maybe even probably given McD's track record. We are only four games into the season and the D hasn't cost us a game yet, so I'll exercise patience for now. We have a few decent tests sprinkled in over the next six weeks (Pats, Chiefs, Bucs) and should have a better idea of where we stand then.
  11. What impact exactly, allow our offense to score 34-40 points per game compared to the 33 we at now? No Rousseau on defense, how many points per game we given up then? Maybe more than now which means we likely don't comeback against the Ravens as we did. Our offense or offensive players are not an issue and improving them and taking up cap space to me a foolish thing when we have such an average defense.
  12. No. Bad teams pay aging veterans who don't have much juice left for what they did in the past. We paid Allen twice for what he did in the past because we projected he'll only get better in the future. Are you trying to argue Beane should've signed Cook to a larger contract?
  13. I don't care if it's Ray Davis, Ray Charles, or Sammy Davis Jr, they just need to find a legit #2 and use him. It's bizarre how few touches the rest of the RBs are getting this season. You need a guy with a different style who can get 6-7 carries, BLOCK, and give Cook some rest. Some thunder to go with the lightning, you know?
  14. is this table available with who the player(s) is/are from each team. I’d be interested to see if they are developmental/project picks and at what position they play as these are major factors on rookie season playing time, typically.
  15. Part of the issue is that there is overlap with Shakir with our guys with the most "juice" in Samuel and Moore. So getting them on the field without taking off the better WR in Shakir is where the challenge is given how they run the offense where the dirty work is also a big factor in their play design and offensive philosophy.
  16. This is like the Lions from last year. Eventually you just don't have enough players to field a legit defense.
  17. Big picture: the running game itself is amazing, we just don't want Cook banged up or overused before January. Ty is fine, there will be games where he is featured a bit more. Davis just doesn't look right and maybe this benching will light or fire under him or send a message regarding his physical composition. Gore is not an NFL talent, I don't see a world where activating Gore lightens Cook's load. If Davis doesn't get rolling, I could see the Bills adding an RB via trade that is more in the bruising north-south role that Davis seems to have opted out of. Someone like Braelon Allen (although Jets probably will not trade) that is getting lightly used on a team that will need to stack picks.
  18. Ball needs to be on the outside shoulder in that scenario. Or you need to throw it earlier and harder as soon as he released.
  19. 3 games this year he has had 1 or fewer carries. It's kinda hard to judge anyone on that little film. A few of the jets ones were in garbage time too. 11 carries in 39 snaps - which includes kneeldown's potentially.
  20. You mean on the specific plays he went deep? Yea I’d mostly agree with that. I’m still planning to rewatch but it seemed like guys were getting ‘nfl open’ pretty often throughout a lot of that one but we opted for wide open underneath stuff. maybe my opinion will change on a rewatch haven’t gotten around to it yet Even the int Keon beat his man but the single high safety got a good jump on it. Looked like we killed a few drives forcing it deep later on though where on those particular plays guys weren’t open
  21. I think the Republicans are working on that. This is major though. What's happening in London is not what we want here.
