  1. Past hour
  2. Beane and Hairston addressed it in interviews post draft. There wasn't a lot of chatter pre draft about it, but Joe Marino from Locked On Bills mentioned he heard of some SA allegations connected to Hairston and that was one thing to look at. He mentioned that pre draft and that was the earliest I heard about it.
  3. My source says JA17 to miami for Weber, Ennis, and a 3rd
  4. So you’re saying that having an elite QB matters way more to compete for Super Bowls than the coach lol
  5. That's what I meant. Writer her the check and end it.
  6. Also worth noting that she filed a police report back when Hairston was just a visiting college freshman, not a 1st round pick, which counters the notion that this has just been a big money grab. There is an increasingly common double standard that is happening with these cases on social media, where some of the same people saying "innocent until proven guilty" are quick to immediately pronounce the girl as a lying money grabber. Filing a false report is in fact also a crime so innocent until proven guilty applies in her case as well.
  7. I'm not sure who "this board" is. There are a lot of 'agnostics' on this board and I'm one of them. I wasn't there and don't know what happened. But in the Araiza situation, I was bothered by the rush to judgment by some and posted here about the Brian Banks story. Like others on this board, I acknowledge that sexual assault happens far too often in America. And like others on this board, I know sometimes false sexual assault accusations are filed - maybe about 2% to 7% of accusations are false according to various studies. Given that no charges were filed and I believe in the presumption of innocence, I'm willing to give Max the benefit of the doubt. But I won't throw stones at the woman because I don't know her or what truly happened.
  8. At least the lawyers waited a few weeks after the kid earned his money before pouncing, really helps the optics lol. The season can’t get here soon enough.
  9. He is old news. There is no evidence that his brand of head coaching works anymore in the league. Legendary coach, but I think without Tom Brady and his shady tactics and cheating, he doesn't offer a lot anymore.
  10. Pure nonsense. The Iranian nuclear weapons program was never going to stop, and they have never abided by any agreement about it. Ever. The Israelis knew that and committed massive assets to prevent it.
  11. He can certainly be charged or sued for alleged criminal actions which occurred before he was drafted. I don't think the league can suspend him for offenses prior to his status as an NFL player.
  12. Am I the only one confused about Beane calling it a "Title IX thing" ? Title IX is about gender equality in sports, I don't see why it would apply to allegations of sexual assault
  13. the fact he was investigated with no charges has made my blood pressure go down. That and Beane saying this was investigated pre draft and found still 1st round draft pick worthy is notable This drama was not known to me even post draft though just saying.
  14. So if OJ was still an active player when he was found guilty in the civil suit for brutally murdering the mother of his children and her friend, you’d have been okay with him staying in the NFL?
  15. No way can he be guilty. Bills cornerbacks are perfect, flawless human beings.
  16. I have tinted windows because it's Florida and it helps. But besides the nefarious activity (that doesn't happen with me as far as you know), there's a flip side; when I flip someone off, I'm like...'Crap, he probably didn't see that'!
  17. McDermott is the worst playoff coach in NFL history?
  18. Just have to wait and see how it turns out. I never jump to conclusions on these things. This was a known issue, though, and it sounds like the school couldn't find anything and the Bills did their research. We'll see how it turns out, but I highly doubt discipline will come from the NFL on this.
  19. tbh...he is basically marty schottenheimer at this point
  20. Tom Brady is on a different level elite. Immediately after leaving NE, he won the Super Bowl in Tampa....a team that was 7-9 the year before.
  21. "He's an impeccable kid," Beane said. "We did a lot of research. I think all teams were aware of the Title IX thing. That was fully investigated by the school...It was one of those where there was zero information saying that this actually happened." I will trust Beane's research over the word of someone out to make money.
  22. whenever this situation pops up years after the fact, have the victim take a lie detector test. may not be admissible in court, but could prevent lawsuits
  23. Talking with some of my wife’s relatives who are Browns fans in Cleveland, and they aren’t loving the new location. Concern over major traffic and possibly traffic issues with going to and from the airport.
