Add me in for a 3rd. I was a NFL historian. Taped anything I could growing up. He was one the all time best. His voice is football. Jealous of the guys who got to see the game back then.

MAKE AMERICA HEALTHY AGAIN: Two more states look to ban junk food from SNAP benefits. South Carolina and Tennessee are looking to join a throng of states that have placed restrictions on what can be bought using Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits. https://www.msn.com/en-us/health/nutrition/two-more-states-look-to-ban-junk-food-from-snap-benefits/ar-AA1Kjtpn?ocid=BingNewsBrowse -
UB gets a vote in the AP preseason coaches poll. I guess that makes them the #51 team in the nation. https://sportsdata.usatoday.com/football/ncaaf/coaches-poll

UB actually got one vote.

The annual QB tier rankings from The Athletic

I'm good with this take. If I get some time tomorrow I will take a look at how he has done with one or both Chase and Higgins out. I know they have missed a lot of time. I'm sure he has a decent sample to consider. -

He's probably the exception, not the rule. -
Don't know about you guys, but I find this ChatGPT version of Tarheel much more rational. Where's the stupid insult involving bodily fluids and f**k? Where's the paranoid style we've come to love and abhor? I think he should stick with the AI responses. Can pass for sane and semi-intelligent. Let's encourage him.

Soft on crime Democrats - the system is the problem?
B-Man replied to Big Blitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
This is why President Trump is taking over law enforcement in D.C. (and elsewhere). Democrats have proven -- time and again -- that they can't control crime. -

Burrow can’t kill you with his legs the way the others can, and Lamar can’t beat you with the creativity that Allen and Mahomes can. As you go up the ladder, each guy can do something that the guys below him can’t. -

We don’t know.. the last time he didn’t have two #1 WRs he was at Ohio state unable to beat out Haskins for the starting job… once he transferred to LSU he went from Jefferson and Chase to now Chase and Higgins. I suspect his numbers would fall off if he didn’t have arguably the best one/two punch at WR, but this isn’t a knock on him, we just haven’t seen him without the plethora of weapons. -

And Burrow puts up the numbers without the rushing threat. I’d say he has an argument as the best pure QB of the 4. The guy just slings it. -

I think he would be just fine without them. He's the the best pure passer in football. One of the only ones left who play like QB's used to play. -
all of them? I’m saying adding in a bunch of 80s rock (ie 35+ years old) probably isn’t going to happen to replace the current stuff that’s growing stale

Burrow is great, no doubt but he also throws to 2 number one receivers. no one other than maybe Philly has better top two receivers imagine Josh or Lamar in that situation? -

Him and who else? If you care to see for yourself, look at all of the kickers selected first as far back as you’d like to go. Look at their career stats and then compare them with kickers who played in the league more than a couple of seasons. You’ll be surprised. Their stats are worse. I looked into this because I shared the OP’s view because it seemed to “make sense” and was surprised to find out the stats don’t agree. This is literally why teams don’t follow this strategy despite how critical the position of kicker really is. -

You are far from alone on this. A huge percentage of baby boomers were indoctrinated into NFL fandom via NFL Films. The glare of their productions were a huge reason that the NFL became America's Passion, eclipsing America's Pastime. -
Well, we know Mike White has the ability to put up a 300+ yard game. Trubisky is Trent Edwards that can scramble.

Awwwwwww. Gene Wu Says Texas Dems Who Fled Democracy Are Suffering Financially and Mentally (for Their Cowardice) Warren Squire Wow, Democrat Texas Representative Gene Wu looks rough. He says he and his fellow Democrats are suffering since they chose to abandon democracy and flee to their billionaire friend JB Pritzker’s hotel in Chicago. Looks like running away from a vote on redistricting is taking its toll. Oh, well. https://twitchy.com/warren-squire/2025/08/11/gene-wu-msnbc-cry-for-help-were-holding-on-threats-n2417101

Burrow is in that group. To say he is a distant 4th is almost as bad as putting Lamar and Mahomes ahead of Josh. -

I want to see a step punch. The legs drive and hands attack at the same time. My grandson who will be a sophomore in HS this year, they drill that in many ways over and over.
