  1. Past hour
  2. Sounds like no. Mcgovern tweaked his hamstring in practice friday apparently. If Mcgovern doesn't play Allen is not playing for sure.
  3. imagine at some point we wont have to worry about Hamlin not playing well. Rapp will most likely take him out in a friendly fire hit with the rest of our defensive backfield. ive never been more convinced that this team isnt going anyplace before a season starts. the safeties are brutal. i want Po and Hyde from 4 years ago to show up ready to play. this team is going to waste a MVP/future HoF QB. the story will be sadder than Marino's. five years from now when Josh isnt MVP caliber anymore, the fans will look back and wonder why the defense wasnt better. why the front office didnt or couldnt go get that game wrecker that the D has always needed.
  4. Thanks for watching so I don't have to! This one must have taken all of your willpower and half of you liquor cabinet to get through.
  5. Didn't the Bills lose to the Bears 33-6 in last year's preseason game. Maybe the Bills should stop playing them in preseason. The Bears treat these games like regular season games when the Bills treat them for what they are MEANINGLESS.
  6. What you say is correct in a perfect world, but that world was not the Biden World and certainly isn't Trump World. I think reparations are off the table. It simply won't happen. It's ridiculous that Trump has effectively taken NATO membership off the table in negotiations. It seems the thinking is something short of accession to NATO (with it's security guarantees) and something more like a European military presence. No one knows exactly what the sentiment of the Ukrainian populace is today, but it seems like there's a strong sentiment toward some significant territorial concessions as long as there is reasonable assurance that Putin will declare victory and leave them alone, at least as far as invasion/bombing goes ... I would expect him to keep meddling on the political/covert front, because the KGB is gonna KGB.
  7. Expect any Bills starters in the finale? Will Josh get a series?
  8. What it showed is that if all the Bills starters get the flu, the subs are not going to be very good. Which if you think about it is why they're subs. What really matters is, how does the team look if all but one or two are starters and one or two are backups -- does the entire system continue to work well? (Excepting the D line which rotates players frequently.)
  9. I admit I'm a bit panicked about the D but I'm hoping/guessing you're right. No way, our real defense is that bad. But aside from Benford, the secondary still scares me. 😬
  10. Don't forget that Gabe Davis was the future after his first season! Andreesen does not get deep enough in coverage, and he is consistent about not getting deep enough. They even showed him getting chewed out on Hard Knocks because of it. This puts a lot of stress on the safeties and I do believe that this was a big reason that the safety play looked exceptionally shaky last night. Just like I try to not take too much stock in what WRs look like when Mike White is throwing the ball, I try to take into consideration that Bishop and Hamlin are NEVER going to be on the field with the front 7 that was out there last night.
  11. But Moore was included in this choice. If you’re playing with 2nd and 3rd strings you are considered as 2nd and 3rd string. Top 4 Coleman Shakir Palmer and Samuel. Moore has done nothing to leap frog Samuel. Imo top you dont need special teams ability in the top 4 after that you do. I have Shavers solid at wr 5. Question do you keep 6? Instead of Codrington Shenualt or Hamler for return duties. I dont want Codrington on the roster. I think Moore is firmly on the bubble. I havent seen anything that warrants him on the roster over Samuel. After that he doesnt offer anything to special teams to warrant a role. Looking at the financials cutting Samuel is pricey. Moore has not warranted that kind of investment. I think the receivers they ran out to start the game last night was pretty indicative of the depth chart, and the lack of availability of Samual and Shakir at the moment. They view Moore in the same role as Shakir. The depth chart has Hamler listed behind Coleman and Samual, which is interesting. Moore played the first half and I believe Hamler played the 2nd half. The reports out of the Bills Bears joint practice was that Moore's connection with Allen was starting to pop and that they connected on some nice chunk plays in 11 on 11s. I think there is more to Moore than what we've seen in our limited view. When Mike White, or even Mitch, is playing QB, I take all WR reps with a grain of salt. Shavers has had some nice moments. The comeback route last night was a good rep. He had a great release on the go route but then started looking back to the QB causing him to slow down and then wasn't able to catch up to White's throw. I think they're going to keep 6 at WR this year: Coleman, Palmer, Shakir, Samuel, Moore, and Shavers. If they keep 6 WR, I'm not convinced they'll keep a roster spot just for return duty. Ray Davis has returned kicks. Shakir has returned punts.
  12. Bad night for the young defensive linemen. Really all of them - Sanders, Walker, Jackson, Solomon, Carter. Sanders and Walker in particular I was hoping to see them build off a good showing last week and instead they mostly laid an egg. Disappointing to see them struggle when the Bears had their starting OL out there, more disappointing when it continued even when their 2nd and 3rd stringers got on the field. Walker had that one really good pass rush at the end of the 1st half, other than that I saw him get out leveraged all night. Sanders was getting blown off the ball on combo blocks and in general was just totally ineffective pushing the pocket. Oh well. I was probably getting my expectations too high after their performance last week. I expect both to look better when they are used situationally and with established players next to them instead of fellow rookies. Carter continues to look like a complete bust. If you watched the game blind and didn't know he was a 3rd round pick last year you wouldn't think he was going to make the roster. This is a guy they are hoping to be their backup 1T this season presumably with an ability to take on doubles and shed blocks, and instead he is getting stonewalled by a 3rd string RG as the RB runs right past him for their 5th TD of the night. Solomon I didn't watch as closely as the DTs but when I did see him he was getting walled off and was getting no push. I saw one good rep where he at least walked the RT back but I'd hoped to see more from a player that reportedly had a good training camp. Landon Jackson I'll say it at least wasn't as abysmal a performance as he had last week, so baby steps and all that, but still doesn't look like a player that deserves to dress on game days and that is a poor outcome for a high 3rd round pick. The young DL was the primary thing, maybe the only thing, I really cared about last night and I came away disappointed to say the least. None of these guys are starters but they are all supposed to play important roles this season so I wanted to see more flashes.
  13. We were in Chicago on vacation a couple of weeks ago, and we took a small tour bus around the eastern part of the city. The driver pointed out the original stadium and then the expensive addition on the top of it, the part that looks like a UFO landed on it. So Chicago spent all that money on upgrading their current stadium and now they're going to spend billions on a brand new stadium. The old one is near Lake Michigan which is also where the museums etc are, and Wrigley Field is also on the eastern side of the city but farther north. Maybe the new location was chosen to try to spread the wealth or maybe it was to reduce traffic congestion on game days.
  14. Yeah thats why i think cover 1 robber. just no crossers which is sorta surprising considering how much we struggled against mesh in man last year. EDIT: Rewatch and yeah I really think Andreessen needs to get more depth. Bishop gets beat but there are two routes behind Andreessen that you would want him to sink towards (crosser and this seam). After he pulls up on the run fake he should drop faster (Pretty sure this is the correct teach). I also say this cause he was getting to far forward on a lot of plays in this game. Thats often a tough challenge for younger players (see Dorian williams year 1). Agree its a bit concerning. He plays the leverage right if im understanding (wants to stay outside), but yeah way over does it and then the seam route is very open between Adnreesen and Hamlin. If he stays in phase better or Andreesen can read it better it could be a very different result.
  15. Yeah, this. Bishop starts 2 yards inside him, sprints to about 2 yards OUTSIDE of him. Leverage was absolutely awful. It's hard to really know what the issue is here: 1) This seems like basic level stuff for pro DBs. 2) Hopefully our safeties aren't asked to run a lot of man at the LOS against slot corners 3) He has missed significant time 4) We want these mistakes made in pre-season but this, again, seems like basic leverage concept. 5) Is the game too fast for him? 6) Are we over reacting to 1 pre season play?
  16. I dont expect him to be anything but a core teamer. That will get him a handful of offensive snaps a game. That type or wr will play on Sundays. Bond would need injuires for him to see the field.
  17. This seems like the year we might carry six WRs on the strength of Shavers, and Shenault's ST abilities.
  18. Bishop seemed to be ok in man to man here with Odunze.
  19. Episode 3 should be fascinating. Can’t think of any highlights to show from the game. Perhaps will get a feature on Brad Robbins as we excitedly watch him punt
  20. Andresson is in no mans land.
  21. Like I said, the next roster Shavers makes in September will be his first. You can hope he develops into something, but much like other fan favorite WRs at the end of the roster, Brandon Reilly, Dez Lewis, etc etc, the far most likely scenario is he is out of the league in a few
  22. It's 100% true. Trubisky has proven to be awful throughout his career. Mike White was already that crappy AFC East QB, and would quickly shift to the worst in the division. And yeah, Buechele blows. He's camp fodder. 3-4 wins without Allen. The Bills have one stud on this team. To me, that's mind boggling 8 years into a regime. They get credit for Allen for sure. But geez, otherwise, it's a collection of medicore talent all over the field. I mean, really, with all of the WR injuries that the Bills have had, does it really matter which three are left out there starting? They have like 12 WR's on the roster, it seems, and all of them are mediocre. And really, none look better than Shavers. To me, it's just as frustrating not equipping Allen with talent than it is not making the playoffs for almost 2 decades. Just my opinion. The same result is coming again from the same exact blueprint we've tried for the last 7 years.
  23. I dont see much of a pick. I think he jumped outside too quick and then wasnt ready for the inside move and got out of phase. Its a sorta tough assignment being off ball man coverage on a WR. he failed at it and hopefully grows.
  24. I tend to agree - this is a purgatory team similar to the Fitz-era Bills without Allen. 6 to 9 wins, showing up "in the hunt" towards the end of the season. Note how the media said the Cook signing was all about taking the pressure off of Allen. The problem all along has been a travesty of a defense in the playoffs giving up 30+ points a game. That has always been the problem with Allen feeling the need to put on the cape, and you'd think someone - anyone - would notice this and call them out about it. Sadly, we are where we are and you can expect more of the same this year.
  25. Obama is the New Nixon By John Kass Barack Obama is the new Nixon. There, I wrote it down and my name is on it. It’s not publicly approved speech yet, but it is no longer the Thought Crime it once was. Many Americans are thinking it. And some, like me, are saying out loud. Barack Obama is our modern Nixon figure. Worse than Nixon, actually. Nixon was considered devious. He was presented as demon by The Washington Post and most of the rest of American journalism as the devil who had to be crushed, his followers subjected to never ending ridicule, his political party was sent on a Walk of Shame. Facing certain impeachment conviction–the result of a botched burglary–Nixon resigned in 1974 rather than put the nation through more political hell. And what of Obama, the creature and darling of the political left and the beloved of the Post, New York Times, my old paper the now-woke Chicago Tribune, what remains of corporate legacy media? It was Obama who orchestrated the FBI and CIA to create what is now understood as the “Russia Collusion Hoax” and used it in attempts to destroy his political rival President Donald Trump. He set them like attack dogs on the American presidency, to rip it apart after the American people had elected Trump as their president. Once Obama’s cabal of Deep State secret intelligence chiefs were exposed, their methods opened to public scrutiny, the public began asking questions. The fall from grace is impossible for a political immortal. And for that he can’t be forgiven. {snip} The thing about Obama is that his legacy is broken. Certainly, as an intelligent man, he must know this. The left can sense it. America can sense the panic. His aides are under fire, and years after he was treated by the media as if he were some mythical flying horse like Pegasus, creature, a majority of the American people believe that Obama’s Deep State has committed crimes in what we call “RussiaGate.” The worm is turning. ”I totally agree,” Devine said, “and if you go on X they’re talking about Obama in quite negative terms.” Of course they are, it’s angry and hateful, but consider: After Obama and his Democrats and media fed the American people a steady diet of hysteria about the hateful bad Orange Man destroying the American republic, you might understand why. The left has been stirring a boiling cauldron and now it’s foaming up and over, spilling on the wrist of the witches. Obama used the FBI and CIA to destroy the presidency, but some people developed an affection for the presidency. They thought of it not belonging to Obama or Hillary Clinton or the editors of newspapers who despise them. They thought the presidency belonged to them, the people. And when they found out the true attitudes of the Obama-Clinton-Biden Democrats, they became angry. There is no putting the genie back in the bottle. Not even a grand wizard like Obama can do it. Each day the people get angrier. Much more at the link: https://johnkassnews.com/russia-hoax-reveals-obama-as-more-devious-than-nixon/ .
