Bills are Fool's Gold: Intentions Versus Results
Slack_in_MA replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall
To what extent do you think your last point is driven by McD not wanting to be threatened by stronger, more experienced coordinators? -
It's crazy going back looking at the game script. Nothing changes and we win if we just kick a fg instead of going for it. And then make the extra point... Obviously we need to make the final fg. If we play them again, hopefully we don't make any mistakes. Very immature loss
-
Unfortunately, so do our opponents.
-
The Bills are 2nd in team offense ... Not sure why anyone thinks Daboll would do a better job given the offensive weapons Beane has assembled.
-
They had five first rounders in 2021 and 2022. Just saying.

Bills are Fool's Gold: Intentions Versus Results

I'm in teh same boat and don't really know who is responsible for doing what, when. I'm just judging by how slow everything is on offense (which it shouldn't be because it's not remotely complicated) and how confused everything frequently is on defense. It has gotten somewhat better since McD started being more hands-on with the defense. I just think both coordinators are in way over their heads and have been promoted at least one level beyond where they belong. 🤷‍♂️ -
What an insane story!!

There's zero world where I think dabol would have this team clicking more than McDermott the last x amount of years since he left He literally couldn't get anything out of Daniel Jones and basically just ran Jackson dart into multiple concussions he had an affinity for stupid play calls at the wrong time also... Not saying he's not better than Brady because he is But he had a lot of issues with his offense including all the people around the NFL saying we could not win a Super bowl with his design running game He also was a hot head who Would scream into Josh Allen's face and get him more riled up... Which is not the answer Coaches should never get too high or low they need to be consistent Especially in 2025.. isn't 1980s bills parcells who is a mucbetterer leader than daboll anyways It's on the players the leaders of the team to hold other players accountable... Like I said Tom Brady and Peyton Manning would chew into players.. much more than you would see Bill belichick yell at Tom Brady If anything Tom Brady was yelling at Bill belichick... Players hold other players accountable and if you're the best in the world you should be able to hold your coach accountable for a bad game plan But screaming in the face of your franchise quarterback in the middle of a game is not the way but that's daboll

That’s the point, I don’t care if they’re pedaling in from East Aurora or Kalamazoo. Hire someone who knows wtf they’re doing !

Any thoughts on whether the increased confusion, getting plays in late, etc is a function of McD involving himself in *every* play on both offense and defense now? I don’t profess to know what the communication among the staff is like from play to play, but if there are too many voices/opinions, it might stand to reason that decision-making is slower, especially on critical plays. -
Long list of Bills UFA / void year after the season

Unless we go outside and hire a good DC like Schwartz or somebody then I say put most of our resources on offense. Specifically WR and another pass catching TE and line help. We have dumped mass quantities into D every year with little return. Patch 'em up and coach them up better and concentrate on helping our best most expensive player. -
don’t forget domestic violence. They are top of the league in that category. They should have a pro bowl for criminal athletes only to determine who’s the best.

Without any further details mental illness and or hazing makes people do some drastic terrible things Attempted murder will obviously ruin this young man's life... Prayers for his teammates and their recovery
-
lol. Our guys don’t know our scheme
-
Brady seemingly did that instinctively. Had to infuriate defenses, get in their head, like c’mon, that’s BS.

What the hell was in that pregame meal? https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/uab-football-players-stabbing-team-facility/

in hindsight it would’ve been the lesser of two evils
-
They don't pedal into town they get hired from within.

An experienced OC from outside the current organization would be the best choice. This regime is not being fired mid-season so we have to suffer through the remaining games. If, as it looks right now, we severely underperform, a wholesale change of the guard will be in order. It is a better option than a patchwork solution because McD is not going to hire someone with a radically different view of the offense than his.

I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better
gobills404 replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well hang on just a second. Our WRs as a whole averaged a pitiful 141 yards per game last year vs a monstrous 145 this year. Turns out OP was right all along. -
That’s my preference …. But that might end up being a potential threat to someone ??

And everybody who says he's about to retire because he lost his passion listen to the speech he gave Wyoming football This dude is football.. his wife did not take away the drive.. the losing does not take away the drive He is the epitome of a competitor who is going to always bounce back.. and he's going to retire in Buffalo
