  2. Except the placebo effect is real. On paper it shouldn't be (your perception), but its reality is measurable and quantifiable. The opposite analogy for the point you're trying to make. Maybe as an athlete you ignored your emotional state, I did and regret it, because my best performances were when the stakes were the highest and I was totally and desperately invested in winning. It gave me massive focus and fear of mistakes or failing vanished. That's just me and everyone's different so I get what you're trying to say, I would simply conclude that perhaps you should open your mind more and that for some, influencing their mental state increases their performance.
  3. Well, if I were a Calvinist/Reformed Protestant, the answer to that question is an unequivocal yes. As God decreed all things in eternity past, according to the good pleasure of his will and for his glory as stated in the Westminster Confession of Faith. Jesus is the Triune God, unless you're some kind of Partialist/Modalist/Arian heretic. If you don't like that, then I'd point you to Romans 9:20-21, Isaiah 45: 9-12, and Jeremiah 18: 1-6.
  4. This thread is supposed to be about how bad the Bills WRs are as a group. The last time I looked, Bowers isn't a WR, so he doesn't count. I want to see Mahomes/Lamar/Burrow and any other QB the Bills play on their way to a Lombardi sacked, hurried, and running for his life because his receivers struggle to beat our secondary, enabling our pass rushers to get home. If the Bills defense had held the Chiefs to their average points per game in the 2024 AFCCG (22.6), there would have been no need for any final drive heroics by the Bills offense. The pass rushers couldn't get to Mahomes because his receivers were beating our DBs almost from the get-go.
  5. BB made the Bills vaunted O back in ‘90 look average. Such arrogance by Levy to not take the SB more seriously in its prep. Then BB later applied 2 decades of mastery of the Bills within that division. I will go so far to say he should be an honorary notation somewhere on the Bills WOF.
  6. I don't know what made me more sad...remembering that the unqualified joke of a FO back then brought in dying corpses like Young, Bush, and Leinart during their career farewell tours or the reminder we took Whitner over Ngata. I feel like I need a shower just thinking about this grossness lol
  7. yep, the unlikely to be attained count against the next year's cap though if they are achieved
  8. Yah but the jokes on him because she's not with him because he's some kind of OMG handsome piece of male meat its as usual a gold digger that is all about where she can go, what she can buy, what she can do, who she can hang around with and alls she has to do is sleep with him and call him daddy while doing it . So it's all a put on and sure he can go hey look what got but I just sit back and go yah okay your a genius when it comes to coaching but a dam fool if you think that it's love ...
  9. Certainly a tough way to end his legacy.
  10. Sure, he was a much better player for the Bills. I just thought you were surprised they gave out those numbers, though. With 32, they weren't giving it out till recently. But 40 I don't think they ever stopped giving it out.
  11. If I was parading around in my '70s with that piece of tail on my arm, I would laugh at anyone who said I had any kind of "troubles".
  12. they also say they are expected to, and do, give 110%…leaving it all on the field, playing as 1/11th and making sure they just execute while having each others’ backs because they love each other…
  13. There was one thing that kept this team from being in the big game last season (well besides the crappy ref calls in the chiefs game) that was our D !! The offense did exactly what it needed to do almost every game but the games that the Bills lost was the fault of the Defense . The D couldn't stop the opposition when they needed to and if you look at almost every game but the first game against the Ravens which the Bills got stomped most every other game was by a minimal score usually never more that 7 points and if the defense was more stout that's alls it would have taken to make it all the way . This year given what they have acquired in the draft and FA the D will be much improved because Beane & McD see what's wrong and usually fix the problem or at the very least try to . I hope if for nothing else the Bills win a SB with McD so that all those nay sayers can eat their words, they are so freakin spoiled with having a winning team that the 2 mentioned have built that they feel that anything less than being in the big game EVERY YEAR is a loss and it's not because every year the team is a different team . But I live for the day that I can write a post to all those McD & Beane haters say TAKE THAT !! But when the Bills do win it they will be all about the win but will still be crucial about the coaching because those that complain will never be completely happy with anything Bills related they have to have something to B**CH about ...
  14. As a fan of 70s culture...I give props to JD over Von for being the 40 king..he blocked well enough during the 2003 yard season of 73 that OJ gave him an engraved bracelet.. it said. Thanks we did it..and on the other side... I didnt do it
  15. KD for president 2028!
  16. it’s absolutely mambo jumbo.
  17. His record does speak for itself, no doubt , but he is an arrogant pr-k .. IMHO
  18. Didn't Hairston say basically the same thing when drafted by the Bills. https://billswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/bills/2025/04/26/buffalo-bills-max-hairston-keep-ball-picks-off-josh-allen-practice-2025-nfl-draft/83284266007/
  19. Fitzpatrick, and not close. He's the only guy that could come in off injury (although his presence might ensure the starter has one) and rattle off a string of MVP worthy games, saving a season.
