This is a pet peeve of mine, "Edge" would be OK (but a bit silly) but EDGE means "I don't understand simple English usage" I think it's an acronym, maybe for End Defense Get Eating. Or maybe something else. (Excuse me, maybe something ELSE) Anyone else have any ideas? And since when do we "get contain"?? Shouldn't it be "containment"?

I don't see a realistic opening at all until after Allen has already been lasso'd by his shirt. Until 2 has got to Kinkaid's depth, Moore is still in a borderline unreachable spot without high risk for interception.

I thought our Flanker played well today. The Split Ends, not so much. -

Carolina Panthers' last 3 opponents, BEFORE THEY FACED US, have bad run games. Yeah, they're overrated at stopping the run. The Carolina Panthers proved that today. That's all that counts. Today, the present day. Not yesterday. Not 3 weeks ago. Carolina couldn't stop Travis Etienne Jr and our stud, James Cook. -
Kincaid and Bernard active but clearly neither was 100%. glad the game went how it went and neither were necessary.

Knox, Oliver, Samual contracts are also poor ROI

Panthers are not known for not stopping the run though.. I think their run d was a bit overvalued based on schedule but they were solid/above average Jags ran on them week 1 but that was pretty much it. I don’t think anyone would’ve predicted this result. Bills probably could’ve cracked 325 yards rushing if they didn’t shut things down in the 3rd quarter I heard a lot of ‘the bills won’t be able to run and dowdle will run all over them making the game close’ from the haters which are things they got pretty wrong. There’s definitely this phenomenon where teams get labeled as ‘bad’ based on past years and it is automatically assumed these teams are not only bad overall but bad at every facet of football every year just based on name alone 😂 -

The Panthers allowed an average of 44 yards per game rushing over the last 3 games before ours, not sure where he was getting his numbers from -
I can't flip it but here @Simon cook is ripping the salts before his long touchdown or on I stopped and took a screenshot

Yea like I get that overall point but the panthers did a ton of things right on this specific play. Once Josh rolls left the safety can play middle of the field knowing Josh is under heavy pressure and has no time to throw it back to the right so you’ve essentially got 5 defenders on 3 receivers and the back of the end zone as an extra deep defender while Josh is running for his life I think Josh thought he’d have a shot at Kincaid but Mike Jackson got to break on kincaid’s route because there was no way Josh was getting that ball to Moore under that much pressure moving to his left

It’s time to have an uncomfortable conversation about Taron

I don’t know where Moore’s head was at on his route, but there was a very quick window there to hit him with a pass. That said, can’t expect Allen to find that minuscule moment on plays like this. The defense won this one with a good call and sticky coverage, Allen was better off throwing it away. It’s not always this bleak though.

The Bye was a reset of going back to basics in many ways. And unsurprisingly, the basics worked pretty freaking well just like they almost always do with this team when they execute them properly.

That’s what the Defense could be right there

don't forget the change of who was making the defensive calls. -
Got to sit down and watch the game tonight-- on this play Allen is no longer looking downfield after like 1.5s and the defense is in zone w/ a man on Coleman. The DL has both pressure and contain on Allen so the secondary doesn't have to worry about the possibility of Allen running, and Allen isn't able to get anywhere close to a viable throwing position so none of the receivers are able to slip into the open. No clue what you would expect receivers to do on this one, the play is already broken by the time they would be coming out of their breaks etc. and everyone is moving accordingly.

More importantly, they had a fierce pass rush

Cook is the best player on offense.
