  1. Past hour
  2. The Bills have had more than their share of players that seem to have season tickets to the injury report and make you wonder if they are doing enough to earn that check. I do balance that tired injury-ridden Bills sentiment accepting the tough breaks like we had with someone like Hoecht who did not want the cart, wanted to cheer the team on, and you could just feel how much he genuinely wanted to be out there.
  3. Its a real shame that they made all of this like it's some sort of a game... nothing seems to be straightforward with anything anymore. Can't imagine an older person with no computer prowess at all navigating the labyrinth of Medicare...
  4. It may not matter if they dominate TOP with Chibb running for 150-200. And Stroud this year has not been effective to the point where you celebrate that his backup is playing. And said backup is not bad. He can make plays. That was embarrassing.
  5. 2006 our 1st round draft pick was John McCargo and we picked Kyle Williams in the 5th round. Meatball was a pillar of the team during the drought years and made 6 pro bowls and will eventually probably end up on the Wall of Fame. 2008 our 2nd round draft pick was James Hardy (RIP) and we picked Stevie Johnson in the 7th round. Stevie earned a big role relatively quickly and eventually became our #1 WR posting back to back 1,000 yard seasons. 2022 our 1st round pick was Kaiir Elam and we picked Christian Benford in the 6th round. Benford has turned into what many would argue is an Elite CB and has earned a lucrative extension from the team. Could Tyrell Shavers be the next in line? We all saw what he did in preseason. Granted, it's preseason... but he had a great game against the Bucs and it wasn't just on the TD. I heard a stat yesterday that he was getting a ton of separation on all of his routes and in Joe Marino's All-22 he talked about how good Shavers played overall. He looks like a MUCH more natural WR than Keon. This isn't perfect because Shavers was actually a UDFA in 2023 rather than 2024, but he stuck around and gained the most attention last offseason and I think a lot people believe he's a 2nd year player. I think we're all rooting for him, but I think based on McDermott's and Allen's PCs this week he may have earned himself a legitimate shot to become the WR Keon was supposed to be.

  6. I felt that way in the moment too. In the stands we were talking about how the Bills were executing a perfect Parcells/Belichick style game plan to beat a more explosive opponent.........and then Brady and Allen come out with a one-read 30 air yard throw to their small catch radius slot receiver on 2nd and 9. After further reviewing the game it became clearer to me that my perception was wrong. They possessed the ball because they converted 9 of 17 times on 3rd and 4th down while the Chiefs were just 1-5 on 3rd down and never faced a 4th down. Allen threw the ball 39 times and had like a dozen rushes that kept bailing out their sh!t passing game. It was anything but systematic. If they drew it up like that it would have ended even worse at least 9 times out of 10. The strategy at the end of that game made 13 seconds look like a stroke of genius by the Bills coaching staff and Josh Allen for signing off on giving Mahomes the ball back down 4 to play 4 down football for 1:50.
  7. But then the question becomes who got them down close enough to the goal line to be able to do a Tush Push / Traditional QB sneak for a TD. For me i think its funny that someone thinks Allen is a one trick pony, and that somebody happened to be a butt hurt Ravens fan
  8. 100%. That’s not hyperbole. With the exception of you and a couple of other message board Chicken Littles, it’s 100%. There’s a reason they are trying to get Stroud back in the lineup. 🤣🤣 When he’s cleared he’s not going to sit behind Davis Mills. 🤣🤣 We have officially lost our minds here. @GunnerBill hit on it earlier. I’m old enough to remember people mad that we had to play Dalton instead of Bryce Young.
  9. I remember that playoff game against the Dolphins a few years ago when Tua didn't play. Some scrub named Skylar Thompson did and he put up some decent numbers against the Bills defense in the Bills 34-31 win. Watch Mills do the same this week.
  10. It's probably a little bit of everything... The Bills run WAY better under center with heavy personnel and pass better out of shotgun with more WR on the field. I don't think this is different from most teams, but it does feel a bit more extreme for the Bills. Josh is a lot of things, but a great timing QB is not really one of them. Lining up under center and throwing the ball at the top of his drop just isn't something he is great at. Add to that that most of the plays are coming with heavier personnel sets on offense and defenses basically letting you run to keep you from passing and you see what we saw most weeks...Bills running the football great and struggling when they try to pass. We blame Coleman or Shakir, but when you only have one or two WR on the field it is a lot easier to play man and isn't super hard to shut down. So they spread out more. Suddenly the passing game opens up and teams are playing less man coverage, but the run suffers with less FB/TE on the field. Josh has better numbers, but also more turnovers and negative plays. Ideally one of two things happens...either A) we get better at passing out of heavy sets and running out of spread sets or B) We stop trying to be cute and abandon the gameplan sooner when it clearly isn't working for whatever reason. There's this idea sometimes that they just need to execute better, but when the margin for error is so small why even put yourself in that situation.
  11. I dont need to go to the Texans message board, I live in Houston and see every game and hear about them ad nauseam. I saw the play of both the year and Mills has played better, imo. Playing a player right out of concussion protocol that has missed several weeks is a a real gamble. Who knows what you will get, he might be hearing footsteps and seeing ghosts. 100% of experts say Stroud is better, 100% huh, not going to debate your hyperbole.
  12. Kelvin Benjamin was the worst starting WR I have ever seen and I saw the strike season. Robert Foster should have started in his place even if he just stood motionless at the line of scrimmage. Throwing to Benjamin led to a lower passer rating than spiking the ball. So the standard here is should we start Shavers over the pool of unexciting receivers on the roster now, but the question then was do we really need to play eleven players every down and if so, should one of them be Robert Foster rather than Benjamin?
  13. You want the worse player. Mills is the worse player. Dalton is worse than Bryce Young. Next week Rudolph is worse than Rodgers. Flacco is worse than Burrow. Just sell out to stop the run. It’s not rocket science. If you get beat by Davis Mills, you deserve to lose.
  14. Yeah. Like, the long TD runs we've given up this year are bad, there's no debating that. But as failures go, giving up a long TD run isn't as damaging as giving up a series of 5-15 yard runs that ends in a TD. The long run can be demoralizing, but getting wrecked over and over on a long TD drive is also demoralizing. I'm not *happy* about where the run D is this year by any stretch. But I'm *less worried* than most.
  15. Dont understimate the texans defense, Scoring 24 or more is no easy task at all. Only teams over 20 this years were the Jaguars with 29 (which Mills had his historic come from behind victory) and the Seawawks with 27.
  16. The QB won’t matter. It’s strictly about not letting Chubb get 200 yards and 3 TDs, like the defense has been guilty of this year. If the Texans run game goes off, it will be tough to win because points will be at a premium against that Texans defense. Didn’t Josh get pretty beat up last year against them?
  17. What are we doing here? 🤣🤣 Yes, Stroud has regressed. He is 100% a better QB than Davis Mills. 🤣🤣 Go to the Texans message boards and get their thoughts. See who they think is a better player. Read any expert. 100% of them will say Stroud is better than Mills. Mills would say that Stroud is better than Mills.
  18. Just came back from my broker. Was there for 90 minutes. Problem wasn't her it was the insurance (Aetna) people. Got a dual medicare plan. First the dentist was in the plan, then it disappeared from their site. Thought I would have to change dentists, but stopped at the dentist on the way home and they said they are in all the Aetna plans. Gave the agent a list of my meds and all my Drs. and she checked which plans they were in ahead of time..
  19. https://x.com/BuffaloBillsPR/status/1990882816830148870?s=20 I think X/Twitter is broken, sorry for the links not embedding.
  20. Sorry, I don't mean to rain on the parade, but the Bucs have a horrible coverage unit. I live in Tampa and watched the game with local diehard friends, and it's a known weakness on the team. Not saying we still can't be encouraged by some things, but I would temper expectations a little bit, unless we see it again Thurs.
  21. this is awesome stuff! Great job!
  22. Damn, the need to change the name from Injury Report to Samuel Report.
  23. He has had some diversified looks in the kick return game all year they just haven't always popped Buccaneers also have terrible coverage unit... Realistically if you can't draw up a kick return scheme like this you shouldn't be an NFL special teams coordinator It was a massive bright spot though... Probably the best starting field position for the bills in a long time
  24. Actually, given your failure to condemn her comments, it seemed you were promoting v criticizing. Btw--I'm also hearing shots fired at President Reagan in DC, Michael Jordan to the White Sox Dbl-A team, and Joe Biden sharp as a tack. This is some news day. Still, stay tuned, cub reporter.
