  1. Past hour
  2. Benching what was basically your first round pick for 2 straight games in his second season when he is healthy is a bad look for this organization. Either he is being benched as punishment for behavior or because they don’t think he’s good enough. I hear all the time when he is criticized for poor coaching that McD is a great leader of men. Well how come he can’t handle Coleman? This coming after how Elam was handled by McD. McD doesn’t want to win at any cost, he wants to win on his terms. Beane also deserves blame for picking these guys and not admitting he made mistakes.
  3. Shakir, Palmer, and Shavers are under contract next season. If Gabe stays healthy, they'll likely bring him back. That's 4 right there. It's likely after the past couple seasons of Beane having egg on his face that they will Draft a guy high, sign someone like Evans, Pickens, or Pierce, or make a trade for someone. That's 5. You're right that we're unlikely to cut him. But if things continue as they do and everyone stays healthy - he will almost assuredly be traded next season. The return won't be much (although we got more than expected for Elam, who was further along as a bust), but there will surely be a team that will send us something in a "change of scenery" deal that is common for young players.
  4. There still time for him. I know I made plenty of mistakes in my 20s. How he responds to this embarrassing moment, being in active, being called out, being looked at as not reliable and now feeling consequences will tell the tale of Keon I agree with this. He needs to build his credit back with his teammates and coaches.
  5. 7 more weeks - he'll be in the top 10 by end of regular season
  6. I agree, there's smoke and usually where there's smoke there is fire.
  7. If Houston as a top 3 rush defense is good enough in your opinion to be considered a really good defensive front, wouldn’t the number one rushing attack in the NFL be also considered a really good offensive line?
  8. Why would you bother playing him this week after last week? We were significantly better off. I don’t want to see him out there again to be honest.
  9. not very many at all, psychologically thr city was fatigued after the great comeback. the bills effectively killed the “love yu Blue” it was dead and one year latey oilers were gone
  10. That would be amazing! Don’t think that’s ever happened in the McD area. But what can you expect not like he specializes in defense 😬
  11. Glad McDermott sees it the same way i do!
  12. I think a lot of it is was: No Kincaid. Almost an entire “new” WR group/combo Palmer hasn’t played a full game since New England. Shavers increased role. Hardman. Welcome back Gabe. No Keon. A TE I never heard of. Find a QB that gets handed THAT and does what Josh did.
  13. I completely agree with this, except I'd use the word "injuries" at the end instead. I can't seem him getting time over any two of Palmer, Davis, or Shavers outside. I can't comprehend that they'd trust him in the slot without lots of practice time there, since he apparently is a little unsure of what he's supposed to be doing outside. He doesn't play core teams, and he almost got himself killed on his one PR. Barring multiple injuries, I just don't see how he gets a jersey again this year.
  14. The reports are that he's a healthy scratch this week again.
  15. I see a line of cars And they're all painted black With flowers and my love Both never to come back
  16. Get the ball to Victor snow!
  17. Wasn’t it just a couple mos back that old Doc Fergs lifted a post from another poster (or reposted from one of his other screen names) without attribution? Seemed a deliberate attempt to deceive. Aid. Comfort. Oy.
  18. Why was this new information merged with an old thread? Anyone browsing the main page won’t know this is about the Texans game since this thread was started before the Bucs game.
  19. Why would they bring him back this week? Things worked well last week. Completely the wrong message to put him back in.
  20. I did acknowledge that it’s not simply ranking guys, in a nod to packages but my point still was that he went from being active in the most packages to unable to dress…. And maybe Palmer getting healthy plus Gabe truly does replace him in essentially every package I just think at some point if the guys underwater you start limiting packages and giving a few to others as both a wake up call but a chance to hone a specific craft or two in a Brady fan but it’s a strange transition. It’s rare to see a WR or DL so drastically shift their platooning
  21. If you were wondering like I was (not including this one yet): https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/potw_career.htm
  22. Unless there are some severe behavioral issues behind the scenes (quite possible) he isn't going anywhere. His rookie contract is really saving him here, as it costs more cap-wise to cut him than keep him. He'll likely be demoted to WR 4/5 with red zone usage unless he gets his act together. Although I'm dubious that the light bulb will click on for this guy.
  23. I'm not surprised at all. He sat out due to his own creation and others got a chance and stepped up. They put up 44 freakin points and we had space we hadn't seen all season in the passing game. Coleman was overdrafted that's for sure and not his fault, but at this point he has not done enough to have a hammerlock on a position.
  24. Two words: High Knees
  25. Its crazy how every week he seems to break some record or move up in some career list with such relatively few seasons
