This was a way bigger game for the chiefs than the bills for this specific season. If you’re saying the chiefs performing well doesn’t matter as much cuz they’ve won superbowls recently I can definitely get behind that though chiefs are kinda on the outside looking in of everything now. Feels like they’re behind in tiebreakers with everyone that matters and they don’t have too many sure wins on their schedule looks like it’s just ten and LV. The Baltimore tiebreaker could be huge for them at least knowing Baltimore is probably gonna go on a run bills would’ve been ok at 5-3 as far as wildcard goes I would think. I think bengals browns jets dolphins wins would’ve been pretty safe and put them at 9-3 (7-2 in conference) then you just need 1 or 2 of the remaining 5 games against pit,Houston,tb,Philly,NE -
Chiefs were unable to shut down the middle of the field and force the Bills to throw to the outside. KC LBers (especially Tranquil) had a bad game. It worked this time, but we still got almost no WR production down the field (just the Moore pass I think). Everything to Shakir was a screen. We are incapable of throwing to a WR at the boundary 10+ yards down the field which is a big weakness. It’s still a problem that needs to be resolved.

Cumuppance?!?! Dude, the Greatest Generation called. They'd like their trash talk back.

ESPN comments on Bills-Chiefs game

Dominque Foxworth said something like he didn’t trust the Bills going forward due to them not being able to pass the ball? Right after having a game where we threw for 270+ yards?!?! -
2025 Edition Trade Deadline Deals
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to ngbills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Staggered void years, and an always increasing salary cap. They also have a ton of defensive players on rookie deals right now - Carter, Davis, Dejean, Mitchell, Campbell, Blankenship. The reason they add phillips though? That super young defense hasn't been very good. I've never seen Phillips line up standing at the 1T and loop. He's an edge rusher. They brought in phillips because they aren't getting enough from Uche, and they brought graham back out of retirement because they knew they needed edge pressure. -
He’s basically Hoecht. Did you see how active Hoecht was yesterday . I don’t remember our defense looking like that this year. Phillips gets pressure on QBs, is tough against the run and is a physical presence.

You take 3 guys out to just watch Allen, he should either have all day to throw, or someone wide open. KC still gets pressure and a near INT. Definitely don't love that play, I wish we could have made them pay. -
Simms said it was a masterclass of coverage disguise again by McD against KC saying "I don't even know what coverage they were in half the time, is it Cover 2, Cover 3, Cover 4... but it seems like the players were wherever KC wants to throw the ball"
-
Congratulations guys. No one posted one of the stupid tweets that says "interested," or "taking calls," or "making calls." It's amazing how some dbag wants attention and posts something. Examples: BarfBooger420 on Twitter: "Bills interested in WR's, would like to acquire Justin Jefferson, Jamar Chase, Jerry Rice, or Da'Rick Rodgers." Splooge6969 NFL Insider: " Multiple teams calling around asking for price of Justin Simmons, Rasheed Shaheed. Teams needing help: Bills, Patriots, Steelers." It's annoying as *****.

That was a crazy throw. BTW - as you're watching the all-22 I'd be curious if you can ascertain what Hancock was doing on the long throw to Brown at the end of the half -
I hope the fanbase realizes the urgency you referenced about bringing in more talent. I like our chances with a vertical threat receiver, some quality secondary piece and some depth on the D-line. Without at least 2 of these positions being addressed, we’ll struggle against quality teams.

Brilliant! You called it.

He actually did let up on the play after Mahomes slipped his initial pass rush attempt. He re-engaged and finished the play but Mahomes would have had far less time if AJ had hadn't jogged a few steps.

Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?
BADOLBILZ replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah a 360 pound 1 tech with some pass rush ability would be nice. He doesn't track as a trade candidate as a performing second year player. They have 2 more seasons of control there and he's cheap. -
I went nuts (in a good way) when this went down in the game. Great no call by refs as it was a clean hit while Mahomes was still in the air in bounds from the throw. Text book legal hit - but still the kind of garbage call Mahomes usually gets. He got hammered all game and no flags, loves that.

Hard to believe with that - somebody can’t get open -
Not playing has that effect on a running back though. Davis has 65 offensive snaps through 8 games for about 8 snaps per game. 18 of his 22 carries came in blowouts, and he has 11 4th quarter garbage time carries (i assume garbage time when Dawkins and McGovern come out).
-
In the previous 2 years he only played 12 of 34 games. No thanks!
-
Why would you want phillips. He is always hurt, has an expiring contract and was super expensive at the cost of a 3rd round pick. Also that deal was like a sweetheart deal for Phillips. He had his best year under fangio and can step right in with philly play right away and know the defense.

Another UB linebacker to watch out for
T master replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall
If they did they one would think given what he did in college he would be on the team but again maybe that's just me . -
If they could easily run the table you wouldn't say the "but there could be challenging games." At work we looked at this and saw the Dallas game and thought " hmmm. Dallas isn't a bad team but they're not good late on the season." We noticed the game is on November. Dallas wins that game because they'll lose all December. After the bye and then losing to @Broncos would be epic. Their defense has to get firing to stop the Broncos and it's not firing right now. The Chiefs will drop at least 2 more. They're not firing on all cylinders.
