Trump/Elon Breakup Fallout

Thank you. I wasnt aware of all the nuance around it. -
A few thoughts in no particular order (copyright) @Virgil @Bill from NYC 1. My father worked at a bank in late 70's or so and got me a black & white autographed picture of our backup QB Dan Manucci (some old timers remember him) 2. We sponsored the Thurman Thomas Show at our restaurant, Daryl Talley was a guest as well. An old timer who didn't come back right from Vietnam was busting his balls after his DWI telling him don't drink too much boy. Darryl said to me personally if that MF'er calls me boy one more time I'm gonna F*** him up! 3. I was working in sales at a Mercedes dealership. Sam Gash came in, met him with the GM. I was about 6'-3", 195 & about 38. I'm in a suit and said to him, ya know what? I don't think you can block me, I think I can beat you. I get down in a 3 pt. stance... We all just burst out laughing! 😂 Good times

Brandon Beane "might be the most sensitive GM in the entire NFL"?
BADOLBILZ replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beane telling PFF the Panthers weren't going to pay for content because he didn't like a "free agency player grade" does NOT track well with the notion that teams don't place any value on "player grades". It's always been a fools argument that modern GM's wouldn't find some value in that data. If society didn't value information just because there was "subjectivity and assumed knowledge" baked into the results then why would we value any profession that "practices"? -

This is it. The bend-but-don't-break defenses are maddening. The D does a pretty good job of tightening up in the redzone, but my god it's nerve shattering. Get the opposing offenses off the field early and you start breaking down their offensive will. -

The rookies, I'm thinking and hoping that 2 or 3 of them are going to be very involved in the Bill's new defense. -
McDermott not in Top 10 of NFL coaches per PFF.

He’s not a top 10 coach. He’s the head coach of a top 10 team. Better yet he’s the head coach of Josh Allen -
Pegula Divests from Knight Hawks after pulling out of Rochester Lease
Mango replied to Mango's topic in The Stadium Wall
They've been friends and business partners since at least the 90's. They have been worth loads for decades. They have/had a yacht with a full time staff on it. And no that's not the Pegulas. -

SoCal Deek replied to Mango's topic in The Stadium Wall
It may be different in different States because it is the case in California, where I served as the President of a large corporation for years. We were required to designate Officers of the Corporation every year. It was a standing action item on our Board Agenda. Regardless, even if it isn't the case in every State, then the term President has even less standing or authority. It is essentially just something somebody puts on their business card. And as I've said, I have absolutely no opinion on the Pegula's one way or the other. You clearly do. -
Brandon Beane "might be the most sensitive GM in the entire NFL"?
BADOLBILZ replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
I didn't know anything about it until after the Panthers complained about it.........so no I didn't create the accusation. What do you suppose the consequence would be for, say, a leaked text or email of the Panthers draft board sent by Beane to McDermott prior to the draft? There is your answer on why we don't have proof and likely never will. And why wouldn't the Panthers really push the issue? Well given what we now know about Jerry Richardson's organization it's very likely that McBeane knew enough that the Panthers didn't have an appetite to get in a pissing match with them over a lil' draft intel that might have cost them a terrible WR and what looked like a good young guard prospect. - Today

Exactly, giving any "credit"to Bosa now is really a stretch, Von Miller 2.0 and pray I am wrong.

Brandon Beane "might be the most sensitive GM in the entire NFL"?
BADOLBILZ replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
I never said Beane had taken over as Panthers GM at that time. You are misconstruing what Monson said in not clarifying that Beane was not the actual GM at the time of the Kalil signing. Hurney succeeded Gettleman. My timeline was wrong on WHEN Hurney took over and DG's cancer diagnosis and that having anything to do with his departure as GM though, that is correct. What Beane's responsibilities were was is what I knew and cared about knowing. And I had gotten that info from someone I've known for most of my life who was in a similar football executive role who knew Beane in Carolina. Beane was a very important person in the Panthers front office at the time because Gettleman didn't want to handle the non-football GM responsibilities. Those duties were becoming an increasingly larger part of the workload. Very similar to the Whaley situation in Buffalo.......except the Panthers owner was a true football man.......a literal former player who had been there at the teams inception. Beane was a great fit because the Pegula's were lost on how to run an NFL team with a road scout as GM. They had literally lived in Orchard Park during the 90's SB's and yet the first time they even attended a Bills game was AFTER they bought the team. To say they were NFL novices is an understatement and their early tenure was their first real embarrassment as sport owners. They were tanking to get superstars in hockey and that was a very popular approach so they hadn't yet earned the ire they now own on the hockey end. Their embarrassment and uncertainty on the football side created the environment for McBeane to take full control of the Bills. -

The government has no business banning books like they’re doing in red states. What a private company chooses to do? That’s a different story. Nice try tho. Florida banned AP African American Studies and passed the "Stop WOKE Act," limiting how systemic racism and slavery are taught. Texas removed hundreds of books by Black authors and passed laws restricting how racism and U.S. history can be discussed in classrooms. Arkansas blocked African American Studies from being taught in public schools, labeling it "leftist propaganda." Oklahoma passed HB 1775, which led to schools limiting discussion of topics like slavery and the Tulsa Race Massacre. Missouri proposed eliminating standalone Black history courses, folding them into general U.S. history to downplay their importance. No except when red states target eligible voters who just so happen to be registered democrats. Virginia tried to purge thousands of voters as “non-citizens” — courts blocked the move for targeting eligible voters. Alabama attempted a similar purge; a judge halted it for violating federal voting protections. Georgia & others used unreliable data to challenge voters, risking removal of naturalized citizens. Texas purged “inactive voters,” disproportionately affecting minorities and low-income communities. Supreme Court allowed Virginia’s purge to proceed temporarily, setting a dangerous national precedent.
