I'm really starting to love this WR room. We quietly got better
BADOLBILZ replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
So what was Brady supposed to be able to change this season that he did not? They basically replaced the 6 man OL and Hawes has been a revelation in that role as the Bills lead the league in rushing and yardage. That was about the only adjustment he could afford to make. They entered the season LESS imposing at the boundary WR position without the threat of Cooper and the reality of Hollins. When players aren't making plays it's always cited as predictability............the problem is the talent. And with a revolving door at the WR/TE position every week people expect a bunch of new sh!t to get drawn up when Allen is indecisive enough. For some reason the takeaway from that Bucs game by some was THAT was the recipe........Allen was pressured ONE TIME the entire game and yet most everything he did well was off schedule. He doesn't trust this personnel. They are going to have to win off schedule. This Texans team was a BAD one to have to play off schedule against. -

Listen, I knew Solomon was an incapable player on early downs at the edge. But I did NOT know his own coaching staff thinks he’s “start-a-defensive-tackle-out-of-position- instead” bad. That is quite the statement. I don’t think anyone is boasting, per se, just stating that they did enough to win the football game. -

Average? They rank almost dead last in the run. You seriously think this defense is average? Wow -
Was Daboll given a great qb? Or did he have to turn Allen into a great qb? Allen wasn’t some sure fire stud right out of college

I hate cancer you mentioned pittie. I have one near me almost always. Unless she is sunbathing. She is a dog who was rescued from a life of dog breeding,. She has bite marks all over her legs and a front paw injury that was not cared for and healed badly. she and her son were rescued together. It was obvious by just appearance that they were related. But a DNA test was done on the son. He was a 100% pure breed Staffordshire terrier. 3 generations so my dog is also purebred. THANK GOD she was rescued. Her temperament is the sweetest you have ever met. She LOVES people. She was the star at hubby's birthday party last night. Her name is Pumpkin. and twice we have been told she looks like one hahahaa I mention this today because I Love the breed. I sense your dog was bonded to YOU as mine is to me.' What a BLESSING! Tell us about her/he if you want I'd like to hear Best to you Go Bills! muppy

I’m more concerned about making the playoffs at this point, than who we’d play tbh -
There is a good chance that our first match up in the playoffs is an away game against the winner of the AFCN. Our defense matches up pretty poorly against the Ravens rushing attack (as evidenced by the last 3 match ups in a 15 month period). So, I could see people hoping that the Steelers win the division and the Ravens miss altogether. I mean, somebody has to win the division there...

Our average defense posted an above-average performance versus a below-average offense, which is what one would expect. It hit par. -

Why would you want Pitt to win any games? Knock any AFC contended down at this point in time unless they’ve run away with their division. -

Russini has become a weekly Saturday read for me. RIP to Joel Buschbaum, Len Pasquarelli and Don Banks, I never get tired of weekly well-sourced scoops although they’re (literally) a dying breed. EDIT: apparently Len P is still alive! -

enough w the injuries excuses lol. this is pro football. every team has injuries an average unit performing average-ly vs a bad offense is not something to crow about -
Well, they did lose one of their two star defensive tackles for the next month. But the football gods conspired to make sure Burrow and Chase wouldn't play against them this week. That, combined with the rest of their schedule, makes the division pretty much out of reach.

A Few Thoughts about the Texans Game - Community Edition
Jerome007 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
They aren't the Superbowl favorites we thought they were, but the positive here, NO team is this year! None! So while their chance to win it all is quite slim, its is NOT over. You fight and let the chips fall. We thought they were better. But who thought the Chiefs and Ravens would have 5 losses at this point? Yet their fanbases are more optimistic then ours. -

The Bills have an average defensive unit, I wish it were better (and it very likely would be if remotely healthy) but it is what it is And what it is is average, not terrible -
All ties today, lets go Buffalo!
-
Today would've been alot more fun had the bills won thursday (obviously). However, I can't shake the feeling that even if the bills get in the playoffs, they're just not gonna go anywhere. So I kinda just feel Meh about the outcomes of today's games. Obviously it'd be great to see the pats lose and kc lose though

Josh Allen should call the Offensive Plays
nedboy7 replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall
What I do know is that Brady should not be calling plays. Dude is cooked. That Houston game should be his end. -
You're not wrong. But it also might not be wrong that he'd be an upgrade on Brady. Unfortunately beggars can't be choosers at this point.
