MNF Week 3 2025: Detroit at Baltimore (no Bills discussion, please)
QLBillsFan replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, he’s the qb. The ultimate responsibility for scoring falls on him, fair or not. The 4th down play was a disaster. Unlike the Bills, the Lions did an amazing job of keeping in lanes. Tackling was better. He missed some throws but stats were impressive. He’s not their biggest problem by any stretch. But collectively they are finding a way to lose close games against top teams. -

Ravens at Chiefs - who do you want to have their third loss?
HappyDays replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm probably whistling past the graveyard here but there are reasons to feel good about beating Baltimore in Buffalo in late January. Derrick Henry looks like he is slowing down a bit, he'll have just turned 32 and he'll have another 180 carries worth of miles on his legs. Our gap discipline will be better in our next matchup by fault. The pressure of always choking in the playoffs will be on them and they'll be in our house. I'm not quite as scared of that prospect as I was two weeks ago. The real key is to avoid having to play both KC and Baltmore en route to the Super Bowl. You're going to have to beat one of them to get there, no avoiding it. -
Do The Bills Have A Passing Game Problem?

yet more proof AI is only as useful as the person inputting the parameters yes, winning the turnover battle correlates w winning games. so do many, many other statistics. do us all a favor and look at past posts on the topic, i've been talking about this since 2019 then look in amazement at 3 out of the last 4 SB winning QBs being top5 in INTs that season -

Of course I left them off, because those were clearly good uses of our 2nd round picks.... Did you read my post at all? The point wasn't we've NEVER had a good 2nd round pick, only that we've wasted plenty of them on players not as valuable as Aubrey is. I listed the years next to each pick, so it's clear I wasn't trying to hide it to "fit a narrative" (unless you think I magically forgot years 2022 & 2023 exist). Did we, or did we not, spend 2nd round picks on the players I listed? Are ANY of them top 2 players at their position like Aubrey? Do we want to win THIS year, or do you want to wait a couple more seasons to see if Sanders or Bishop pan out? Because the point was we've wasted 2nd round picks on worse things before. I'm not worried about what a 2nd round 2026 might do in the 2026 season, especially given how likely it is that they end up being nothing special. Meanwhile, Aubrey is ALREADY special. If someone told me right now I could get Brandon Aubrey for Cole Bishop straight up, I'd take it. But clearly you think Bishop (or Sanders) will help us win a Super Bowl THIS year. -

I think some of that could be tua limitations though it’s really tough to say -
A team that can’t beat any of the good teams is not a sure thing to beat all of the pretty good teams imo. If they’ve truly got zero margin of error and have to beat all of Indy,Jax,Washington,Denver/lac they’re probably gonna miss. Even the raiders play them pretty tough. If the chiefs fall to a wildcard type team that jags game is hugeeee if they end up in as the 7 seed they’re gonna get a tough draw in the wildcard round too

Based on next 4 games after this one, I'm leaning to the Ravens losing. Ravens have Texans, rams, bears, fins, vikings. Last 2 on road. Chiefs have jags, lions, raiders, commanders, bills. Bills and jags are road games. I think thr chiefs have a worse record than the ravens over those 5...like 2-3 vs 3'2 so chiefs win they both go 3-3 over next 6. -

I will not be rooting for the Chiefs (if that happens), I would be rooting for the Ravens to lose. I might end up saying, "let them tie". I really don't know how I will feel. -

Oh I know the difference far, far more than you and Biden do. Now tell us why making wild unsubstantiated and undisputably known false at the time claims about the efficacy of a novel RESPIRATORY virus vaccine is just fine when Biden did it? -
We don't "need" young WRs. The group we have now on offense is putting up 34 points per game. I wouldn't mind it. At every position you want to bring in young talent to develop. WR is no exception, but we don't have any special need there. As for overpaying, we are using 12% of our cap this year on WRs. That's cheap. And it seems like a tactic - historically used often by Super Bowl-winning teams to deal with having to pay a top-flight QB - of putting together a top-flight roster on both sides of the ball. One of the benefits of having an elite QB is that he can be effective and productive without expensive WRs. The Chiefs and the Brady-era Pats are the best recent examples, but there are plenty of others. Yeah, this, please.

Love how you left out James Cook and O'Cyrus Torrence to fit your narrative 🙄 And if Sanders still has the potential to be good, which goes without saying bc judging a player as a Rookie, let alone one that's only 3 games into their NFL career is crazy - why include them in your list along guys like Basham and Ford? I don't even think it's fair to call Bishop a Bust yet. He's just getting his first starts now. And AJ Epenesa hasn't been terrible return for the caliber of Defensive End you would find at the bottom of Round 2. You're not likely to find a Superstar at DE with Pick 54 - the 6th End off the board. -

That would be a dream but I don't see it. Even if they lose next week, I only see 3 more losses on their schedule. Lions, Bills, 1 of the Broncos x2 or Chargers. 11-6 gets them into a wildcard spot. The realistic dream is KC at Baltimore in the wildcard. -
I think the Lamar fatigue is more of a Ravens thing than a Lamar thing. It feels like we've been hearing for years how great the Ravens are at team building. The narrative has been "they can only beat themselves" for awhile now. I get super sick of that. As if other teams play no role in the Ravens turning the ball over or Lamar making a ridiculous 4th and goal play where he loses 20 yards. Watch... there's still going to be a narrative out there among a significant chunk of people that the Ravens are the best team in football if they can just stop shooting themselves in the foot. One big talking point is going to be their decision NOT to go for it on 4th down countered by Detroit's 4th down decisions. Ignored will be the way Detroit handled Baltimore at the goal line on 4 downs. Lamar just gets that extra angst since he's the QB of that team.

Eh, my son lives in the DMV and was at a bar for our game and he did the Zay Flowers Queen of England wave at their fans when we won … and he managed to get home okay. I probably wouldn’t have advised that… but I’m proud. -
With thr jets/ giants they have to put some games outside of Sunday for better scheduling flexibility. Same with the rams/ chargers.

I mean getting the 1 seed is MASSIVE especially with the somewhat recently expanded playoffs that took the 2 seed bye away. It’s not luck that the patriots/chiefs often had a bye and a fairly easy home divisional game and their players are more rested and healthy for the afc championship. If the chiefs had to see us after a tough game with Baltimore they’d never beat us tbh
