  5. He looked slower than Poyer, and his aggressiveness was again borderline reckless.
  6. First of all, I hope you have fun and the Bills deliver a victory! As a former Buffalonian who (I duck as I type this) has visited and lived in bigger & better cities, I'll say that Buffalo has its charms. IMHO it's food scene is not world-class. It doesn't have any Michelin-starred restaurants. As far as I know, no James Beard award-winning chefs. Asian food is far better on the West Coast. Latin food is far better in the border states. Almost everything is better in NYC. But I do highly recommend the Buffalo classics: Wings and Beef-on-Weck. And if there were a way to measure this, I think Buffalo would lead the nation in most good pizzerias per capita. "Buffalo Pizza" with its cup-and-char pepperoni and cheesy overload is a thing in its own right. You can find some good Polish food, too, since a lot of Poles live in Buffalo. In my opinion, btw, Mighty Taco (mentioned previously) used to be awesome but has faded over the years into a grim shadow of Taco Bell. Niagara Falls is a must-see. Both the Canadian and American sides (including Goat Island). The Maid of the Mist boat ride is definitely worth the money. It'll take you to a spot where you're nearly surrounded by cascading water. Very cool. If you're into architecture, there's a Frank Lloyd Wright house in the city and another about 20 or 30 minutes to the south. Both are open to the public. In fact, there's a lot of good/great architecture in Buffalo dating to the early 1900s when Buffalo was a booming metropolis, though much of it is in rough condition now. The zoo and some of the museums are decent. In my opinion, none are must-see. If you like presidential history, you can see the house where McKinley died after being shot in Buffalo, and a different house a few blocks away where Teddy Roosevelt was then sworn in. But of these are skippable, too. Delaware Park (mentioned previously) is frustrating. It was beautifully designed in the 1860s by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, the same landscape architects who designed Central Park and some other fantastic spaces. But in the 1960s, we stupidly built a highway down the middle of Delaware Park, forever scarring it. I recommend wearing Bills gear every day. The Mafia is for real. I've lived in or near KC, SF, Oakland, Indy, Atlanta, Seattle, San Diego, and St. Louis, and been to nearly every other NFL city. Buffalo's love of their team is different. You might want to stop at The Bills Store, next to the stadium, to get outfitted.
  7. The Steelers could not run well against the NYJ (2.7avg rush) but Rodgers hit 73% passes and 4 TDs. The Jets controlled the ball and the clock for big chunks. Special teams fumble and failed 4th down conversion in the very late stages let them down.
  8. as good as you are at doing what you do it is definitely a compliment. it is master trolling.
  9. The study is clearly indicating that giving vaccine is to children at this point is a terrible decision. At this point my next time of concern will be when I have grandkids so I have not delved into the details. I am curious what is wrong with the study because the numbers they are producing are not something that could be easily hidden if true.
  10. His very words that came out of his mouth were about the color of her skin. They weren't "Oh my god, what did I do?" They were " got that white girl, got that white girl."
  11. I'd rather have Mitch. Mitch is a tremendous athlete, Mac looks like he trips up the stairs I think Shanny wanted his version of Josh Allen

  15. Bad for the league, but great for the real teams like Buffalo and others who decide not to give into the awful movement to a game that we will no longer recognize. Teams like the Bills and the others who make the wise decision to play football the way it was meant to be played--outside and on grass as well--will likely be the dominant teams in the next few decades. Teams like the Bills, Chiefs, the Packers (can you imagine the Packers' home as a dome!?), will just take over the league.
  16. QBs don't or won't make that throw not because they can't make the throw. They don't make that throw because it's a low percentage pass. A high risk pass. It requires the WR to make a precise route and the QB to be accurate and fit the ball into a window. But to imply a NFL QB can't make that pass is silly. The top 10 QBs will make that pass every time even under those circumstances. That's what makes them top 10. Most coaches probably don't make that call though. I'm sure the Bills end maybe Allen saw that the Ravens could be beat on that type of play. Like I said previously, it was great execution by the Bills offense. But let's curtail your original premise.
  17. He chose the very small thin person directly in front of him. Okay so what is your solution to the root cause of these problems?
  18. Thanks as always for the writeup, Shaw. My "have a little faith" story is this: I fly in from the west coast for one game a year. My favorite games are home openers. Good weather, optimism is high, excitement to start a new season is infectious. This being a home opener against a great opponent, and a night game, and the last home opener in Old Highmark history, it seemed like a potentially great option to fly home for. I didn't. Why? Because, to be honest, I like to try to pick games that I'm pretty darned sure the Bills will win. It stinks to fly all the way home, take all that time off of work, spend all that money, only to see the misery of defeat up close. I looked at the whole Bills home schedule, decided this was the game they were LEAST likely to win, and opted to wait for a game later in the season instead. Through three and a half quarters, even as I felt the unpleasant feelings of the Bills being thrashed, I silently patted myself on the back for not flying home to see this atrocity in person. "Good thing you didn't go to this game!", I told myself. Whoops. I missed an all-time classic. I missed possibly the most memorable -- and last -- home opener in Old Highmark history. I missed what, in truth, is probably on the top 20 list for all time most epic, legendary, memorable regular season games in the 50 years of this stadium. Whoops. "Have a little faith next time".
  19. The Steelers, with a pretty good defense, had the same problem in the playoffs last year.
