Very similar to Fred Jackson being tackled at the one yard line in the 2011 game against the Patriots. Never leave them time on the clock.

Ed Oliver hit on 3rd down last drive. Wow

Bills Edges did not contain on many long rushes. Football 101 is to set edge do not let opponent get outside your inside shoulder. The quick misdirection, and Lamars speed- many players failed to contain. Bosa, Aj, Salamon... Post game interviews it was said that Bosa seeked out every Bills offensive player, shook their hands, and thanked them for winning the game. He apologized for his poor play, and the defenses. -
That will be good for you in the midterms, and whoever you plan to run in 2028. Glad you have something worth celebrating finally!

Very thankful that wasn’t roughing the passer. Really hoping the NFL eases up on those huge game changing calls unless they’re absolutely egregious. -

Yea the gap control in the 1st half was awful, and the Ravens would target away from the 3T(Oliver) and that's where Henry's big runs came from. The Tackle would scoop block Oliver with the backside tackle, so he couldn't disrupt the running lane. Which is really want you want to do for Henry. Need him going East/West not North/South. Great 2nd half adjustment by Oliver and recognising formation and tendecies, he started speed rushing the scoop block, which resulted in those 2 big stops by Ed. But yea, if you watch the Gap control, it's pretty bad, saw Milano and Williams, completely miss filling the gap on a couple plays. -
Game Week thread - Bills at Jets

I hope that defense will show up -
I'd be happy to scrape by with a 1-pt win, and I think the line of Jets +6.5 is a gift for gamblers. The Bills have to return to Earth off that high of coming back against the Ravens to focus on a Jets team that might be well-coached for once this season and desperately wants to avoid going 0-2. The Jets have seemingly built an offense that Fields could succeed in and it just so happens to be a power running game like the Ravens with Fields and Hall tag-teaming for big yardage. They're not as good as the Ravens, but I also don't think we can improve that much in a span of a few days. Our back 7 will get better over the course of the season but I don't think they'll be up to par yet for this game. That means superman Josh will have to carry us again against a defense and road environment that he has often struggled with. Hopefully Josh can do it and deliver the Jets another heartbreak loss at home. 27-24 Bills. I do think we start to win by margin beginning in Week 3, but this Week 2 game is going to be a very hard-fought game. One that we could lose.

Must mean that Shipley kid is gonna be out a while. They also have AJ Dillion. I think the Jags got hoses a bit here. Tank is more valuable than a couple of day 3 picks next year... especially if ETN misses any time.

No that is based on what I saw live at the time. Not had a chance to get to the all 22. But Dorian Williams in particular missed multiple gaps that led to big plays. Taylor Rapp missed one as well. You have to fill your gaps to get Henry moving horizontally. Then you have a chance. If you miss or are late to your gap and he gets going north to south you are in trouble. Our gap discipline was by far the biggest issue. -

Well, they stole the money, they should have to pay it back https://www.cnbc.com/2025/09/08/trump-tariff-refund-trade-treasury-bessent-supreme-court.html -
I would expect Beane to try and make some moves for the defense. Despite this exciting win both he and McDermott can't be happy with the defense especially the run defense. Granted it was Baltimore, and they have one of the most complete rosters in football. Trying to tackle Jackson with how fast and elusive he can be is extremely hard. That one play where it looked like the Bills had him for a big loss and then he turns it into a big gain is an example of that. Trying to tackle Henry is like trying to tackle Godzilla. The Bills won't play an offense like this again until they face the Eagles but the issues with the defense are still there.

Tyler Dunne's piece on Caleb Williams is DAMNING

That's the same conclusion for every team tho. We lived it here for a long time too. It all starts and ends at the owner level. If that isnt on track then the FO and team will never be. I know Bears fans are hoping the McCaskeys sell now that Virginia passed. It's their only hope. -
Yes, it should have been a penalty for illegal contact. But they didn't call it.

Whoever left stadium early needs to….
JohnnyBuffalo replied to Riverboat Ritchie's topic in The Stadium Wall
I will admit the idea of leaving early crossed my mind and even asked my son what he thought. We decided since Josh Allen was playing we might as well stay because we don’t get to see him in person very often. Thank goodness for that decision! However, I will say it again…anything but a 1pm game is just awful. Incredibly unfair to have the game start so late and I don’t judge anyone who left early. No game should be able to start after 7pm ever in my humble opinion. To heck with the West coast ~16% of the population anyway. Go Bills and thank goodness for ALL of Bills Mafia! -
Their GM plays 3d chess.

Jets always play us tough and Allen struggles against them. Time to put Baltimoe in the rear view mirror amd get ready to bring our A game again.

9/7/25 Post Game Thread - Bills vs Ravens SNF
Gregg replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I still can't believe Harbaugh didn't go for it on the 4th and 2 at the 38. Game on the line you put the ball in your best players hands and that is Jackson or Henry. With the way the Ravens moved the ball all night they probably convert that 4th down and win the game. Allen was on fire in the 4th quarter so the last thing he should have wanted to do is give the ball back to him.
