He played in the Preseason those years (except for 2020 when no one played) so didn’t help

He signed with Vikings https://twsn.net/2025/08/20/minnesota-vikings-sign-amari-cooper/

Yea, it wont happen.. but I’d do it. More than happy to move two vet contracts off the books to make room this year and part ways with three years of picks in the 28-32 range for Parsons. Beane has this roster pretty well stacked absent that elite player to go with Allen. Would give us Parsons, Rousseau, Hoecht, Oliver, Sanders, Bernard, Benford, Hairston, Dawkins, Brown, Torrence(?), Cook, Keon, Shakir, Palmer and potentially Kincaid(?) as his second window supporting cast. In that build, I just don’t see where we’re down bad giving up the next 3 years of RD1 Picks. Unless Keon or Palmer are busts, every other position we would be needing to address in the next 3 years can be found at a high level on Day Two. (LB, IOL, S)

Everyone complaining about Beanes ability to draft should be happy. In 8 years found Allen. Picking end of rd 1 is tough to find impact players. I would do that package with a future day 3 and 2nd rder in 26 or 27 back with Micah.

I dunno...he isn't willing to play so... -
To be fair- He traded a 3rd for Rasul and a 5th

and the Jets the previous year and the loss to the Steelers the year before that...

Mack was on the last year of his rookie deal when he was traded to the Bears and the Bears gave him the new 6 year 140 ish million dollar contract

Wow, with “winning” like that we all be just a little poorer just a little sooner. -
he's retiring

I dunno about “going away”, weren’t the Cardinals driving to tie it up in the 4th quarter? Either way, I fully expect us to come out flat against the Ravens, hope I eat some crow on that prediction

In fairness, Sul was clutch the year we got him. Dude was a ball hawk for the rest of the year for us. I don't know how he fell off so fast last year.
-
He takes enough hits and we need to get White or Trubisky (or their replacement) as many reps as possible.

Nothing was capitalized, so I don't believe it.

sure. it's not sustainable or realistic to have a military police presence indefinitely. it's also not desirable to see automatic weapons carried openly in the nation's capital. looks like a 3rd world dictatorship. And it's unconstitutional to use the military in this way in other cities. but maga's ceded the power of the constitution long ago.

Jackson will be fine. I have a friend who was an All-American DL at Tenn and had a tough time sticking in the NFL. He said the size, speed and talent difference between college football and pro football is hard to comprehend. He said it takes even really good players time to adjust and some never do. It’s way some of this discussion is premature. There is often a huge jump between year 1 and year 2. Just look at Cook, Shakir, Bernard, and Rousseau for recent examples. However, sometimes the jump takes longer. Look at Poyer and Hyde. Both become starters in their 4th seasons, but were allowed to walk at FAs. Neither was thought of a a future all-pro until they got to Buffalo in year 5. This is why I’m being very patient with Bishop. The speed is there and so is the football IQ. It’s really about staying healthy and adjusting to the speed of the NFL.

BOO! Boo this pantomime Joe Marino! 😠 * 😁 * One thing I wonder about these strength and conditioning programs is how 'cookie cutter' are the stretches that the players are performing? In most cases, these players are highly toned individuals with freakish physiques. Do these muscle bound sorts forever dance on the edge of a muscle or tendon going snap? Add to that the force of being hit or landing wrong can raise hell. * I ran recreationally for many years, and used Bob Anderson's book 'Stretching' as my guide. He was adamant about quad stretches, advising that the leg being stretched was held by the opposite hand. Doing this lessened any rotation on the knee joint, lessening the chances for injury. There are plenty of half-assed guides showing any number of ways to (improperly) stretch quads. Even look at those guddam advertisements hawking sportswear and sports shoes. There are just as many athletes who don't know when and how to properly stretch. All small missteps on the way to potential injuries.
